Extendedstay Houston Medical Center is located approximately a mile from Six Flags Astroworld and 25 miles from George Bush Intercontinental Airport. This location is also one mile from Reliant Park/Expo Center, two miles from the Museum of Fine Arts and Miller Outdoor Theater, four miles from Minute Maid Park and downtown Houston, and 10 miles from the Galleria. Hotel amenities include the swimming pool, picnic area, fitness center, free continental breakfast, laundry/valet service, free outdoor parking, and limited shuttle service. All rooms feature full kitchens, coffeemakers, cable TV, high-speed Internet access (fee), voicemail, hairdryers, and irons. Pet Policy- One pet per room is allowed. A 25 USD cleaning fee will be charged per night, not to exceed 150 USD. This charge will be applied at check-in.

Date of Stay: June, 2009

The main reason for my stay at this hotel was for location convenience to Texas Orthopedic Hospital which was good. Following are the reasons I would not stay again: Room was extremly small and over crowded with furniture which made it hard to manuver. The kitchen was poorly equipped, looks as if they picked up the dishes and silver ware from a junk sale. I would not recommend this hotel for the price they charge. I have stayed in cheaper hotels that were more comfortable.

Very convenient to M D Anderson, convenient shuttle or can walk to it. Someone left their dog unattended and it barked for hours. My only complaint was that both of us thought the beds were too hard and we did not sleep well there. Very nice, helpful, and courteous with good area information.

Good value, comfortable bed and room Pets I'm unlikely to stay at a 2* because I've gotten hotels that take pets the last two times and I'm allergic to cat dander. However, I slept fine at this hotel and didn't have any allergies, but it didn't feel clean to me since there was no guarantee that a cat didn't share the room the night before.

The amenities offered. The size of the room and also the staff seemed untrained. The hotel was very comfortable, clean and had extras that I did not expect. I enjoyed my stay very much. The room could have been cleaner and cleaned better but it was an overall good experience.

Excellent location, service and comfortable stay. This is a best hotel for your money. The staff provide excellent customer care. Location is very good for those need to do business with Hospital downtown are in Houston, TX.

I have stayed here on two occasions and my room has been dirty both times. I was not happy with my stay, my room the first time had a dirty tub with black foot prints all in it and did not have a coffee pot in room. My second stay I found beer bottle caps in the kitchen and not coffee for coffee pot. When I told management, I felt I was being blown off.

Had a good bed and space & internet. Didn't have a good chair to rest in. Was close to the MD Anderson Clint and was ok but needed a recliner to sit in.

Shuttle service on time, very accommodating. Poor selection continental breakfast, had to change room due to strong order in room. The hotel met my expectations for the price. The location was very close to the MD Anderson Clinic and shuttle service to and from there was very dependable. Very clean facility. Only had two issues: (1)someone burnt food while cooking, fire alarms went off and firemen were dispatched. (2)when we arrived at the hotel there was a strong unbearable odor in the room. the staff was very accommodating in moving us into another room. I would definitely stay at this hotel again.

Good value. Broken fitness equipment. I was pleasantly surprised that this hotel was so nice for what I paid for it. Perfect location if you need to be at the med center. Decent, would stay again.

The location. Dirty bathtub, light bulbs out, towel rack torn from wall, no coffee pot. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone.

Location and price. Wireless internet didn't work. This is an adequate hotel for a business traveler on a budget.

Noisy, small rooms. It was clean and looked nice. The floors in the elevator and bathrooms were buckling. The room was much smaller than I had anticipated. I would have been extremely disappointed.

The kitchen setup. Very nice for saving money and staying in if one feels like it. There was nothing I did not like. It is also very close to other dining areas, shopping centers, and gas stations outside of the downtown district. This hotel would be great for longer vacations, business trips, or family vacations because it has all the features of home including a complete kitchen (with a stove, refrigerator, and dishes.). Awesome location, awesome hotel.

Clean and new. Wrong size bed (not a king size) no one at front desks to tell. Nice clean new hotel internet connections kitchenette is useful.
