The entire place (lobby, halls, elevators, and rooms) smelled like a combination / awful mix of pet, & body odors. The furniture, bedding and carpeting have seen much better days. Co-worker and I had checked into two rooms and could not leave without forfeiting room charge to Travel agent. Besides it was late evening and we had an early morning flight to catch. I could not bring myself to pull the covers down. I found a blanket in the closet that appeared to have never been used. I placed it on the bed and laid on it and put a towel over the pillow covered by the bedspread so as to not put my head on the smelly bedding. I was going to go out to get some frabrize but there appeared to be less than ample parking as people checking in were complaining about finding a place to park. Since I had a parking space I did not want to forfeit it and thus went back to the room. I was lucky if I slept for a total of two hours. Woke up with a headache that cleared up after I left that awful place. I presume it was the awful smell. My co-worker's room AC was not working very well. Not good in the deep south in late July! Noticed on our way in the outdoor pool water was merky and seem unclean. Stayed in two other hotels on our business trip and this place couldn't hold a candle to this joint. Seemed to be a struggling hotel that could not afford proper upkeep. Gentleman at the front desk said the place had formerly been a Holiday Inn Express or Marriot previously. Also seemed like a bad neighborhood too, although nothing bad happened. NEVER, NEVER AGAIN!!

the room was nice, but they changed the name of the hotel to extended stay america so you'll probably have a hard time finding it unless you know that first!

Family friendly. Phone service was very bad/ no house keeping under 6 days. No comment.

Hotel front desk manager was friendly and helpful. Room was not clean. Dirty linen on bed, floor not vacuumed, very dusty throughout. This hotel was ok as far as what I needed. I did not think it was even near the cleanliness that needed to get it two stars. The floors had not been thoroughly vacuumed around the furniture, the box spring against the headboard had hair and debris, the pillow cases looked like they had been slept on, and the kitchen appliances were very dusty, as if the room hadn't been used in a while. I liked having the convenience of a kitchen, using the fridge and microwave. It also had a dishwasher. No maid service with a stay under four days, and I had to exchange my linens myself at the front desk, which was inconvenient. Parking was very tight, and I had to park far from my room. I did complain to the manager upon checkout for the lack of cleanliness, and he offered me a voucher for a free night at any extended stay hotel. I would not choose this hotel if I had a choice to stay somewhere else. I supposed if a family was passing through, it would have been good. It had a hide-a-bed sofa, and DVD player, as well as cable TV that swiveled to be seen either on the sofa or in the bed. All in all, I guess you get what you pay for. I can see why this hotel did not have a very high occupancy rate.

The price is always low. The room was not as clean as usual. The hotel is actually quite good to stay in. Check-in is quick and easy. Everything works properly. Security is great.

It was what I expected. Bed frame would wobble. This is a great room at the price. it would compare to any other hotel chain and exceed their standards.

The space and amenities within the room. The neighborhood the hotel is in. For the price I received for this hotel, this was an excellent bargain. The room was spacious and clean, the desk and kitchen were very handy, and the staff was very friendly. Other than the location, I can't think of any reason why I wouldn't stay here again!

The staff was extremely helpful. Wish there was the option of a room with 2 beds. We expected a room with 2 beds, but we were not aware that option is not available at this hotel. However, the staff was incredibly helpful in setting us up with a suite for a good rate and then transferring us to another hotel that could accommodate us.

The room layout. The shower Curtin was molded. Great value for the money. Nice room, good location. This is not the extended stay on I 55 n as some reviews I have read assumed.

The best place to stay in Jackson, over the top staff and amenities, clean rooms, in-room kitchen, beautiful grounds, home away from home! For internet, pool needed a little attention, but I've seen much worse in 4-5 star hotels. This property is the best. We arrived on a Sunday after to a very friendly greeting and efficient check-in. Our room was a spacious queen complete with a full kitchen, desk, TV and enough room to spare for a blow-up mattress for our son. Everything appeared clean and functional. All security features functioned well. Impressed with 24hr locked exterior doors and hallways. The staff excelled in meeting our requests. We also made use of the two PC's in the lobby area. They charged for wireless internet in-room. The pool water was blue, but slightly cloudy. To be expected after a weekend of heavy use, but in definite need of attention. landscaped grounds were beautifully decorated with colorful flowers. I have stayed in most of the hotels in Jackson over the years and have low expectations. This hotel is the best in town by far. It is located in the north part of town close to Ridgeland, shopping, restaurants, and the Reservoir. Highly recommend, definitely on par with most 4 stars.
