Reception is quite informal, almost a hostel, but friendly and helpful. Room was fine, clean and comfortable. Parking is tight, I got there late and was lucky to find a spot. Close to downtown, where you can find good restaurants.

It was an attractive hotel. We had to ask for towels and there were garbage bags in the hall. Over all it was nice and quiet. Family friendly, which is nice. We just think maybe there were some housekeeping issues. Several large bags of garbage outside our room door and no towels in our room. Staff was helpful and friendly--a plus. We don't feel we should have to pay extra for Internet and the hotel did charge extra.

Pros: This place features suites with a kitchen, complete with cabinets, a kitchen sink, microwave, two burner stove, decent size refrigerator freezer (refridgerator about 10 cu ft, with 5 cu. ft top freezer), dishes, and silverware. Dishwashing soap is provided. Has a DVD player connected to the TV, so you can watch your own moviews at no extra charge. The beds were comfortable and the room was clean. Had no problem with the wireless internet (its a $4.99 one-time charge good for the entire length of your stay). Cons: The breakfast is bagels, coffee, and a fruit (apples both mornings I was there). Days Inn offers a better selection. The pillows were thin. No wash cloths, just towels (hand towels and full towels). You must ask for shampoo at the front desk (apparently, they believe you wash your dishes, not your hair). The biggest downside is the microscopic parking lot. During the summer it might hold 25 cars, in the winter 22; this for a hotel with about 100 rooms! You do the math. Either get there early in the evening or expect to park in the street (and in the morning move your car or feed the parking meters!). Other info: There is no restaraunt on the premises, but there are a number of places to eat 3 to 5 blocks away. The pool is small, but clean. There is also a small exercise room with a couple of machines. Summary a decent place to stay if you are willing to put up with the lack of parking.

I recently stayed at this hotel for the first time. I come to Anchorage two or three times a year for business and I normally stay at another hotel. I decided to try this hotel because of the rate that I found on-line and I hoped that it wouldnt be a "dive". The hotel looks brand new, the staff was great and the rooms were much larger then what I am used to. The parking was the only issue I had, very few spots, but lots of street parking.I will stay here on my next trip! In my opinion, this is one of the better deals going!

paid for wi-fi but never could get online due to weak signal. did get online in business center to print boarding passes. Room ok but austere. no lamp in living room area. not enough pillows.

It fit our needs well. The room was very hot had to unplug the wall unit because it would only blow hot air. 80 degrees in the room is way to hot for us by about 20 degrees.

the hotel was really noisy. carpet cleaning going on when i was in the room seemed to never end. the spa pool was lukewarm, and someone with a machine was making noise in there too. walls were thin, and thankfully i did not have neighnors. i did not like that the only window was right out onto a parking lot, which meant no privacy, and no air, since it was unclear whether or not it would have been safe to open. it was only a few blocks from downtown, and i think if the museum on the next block had been open, i would have been much happier overall. but... no. staff were fine, but not super helpful or friendly. there is a free hotel shuttle, but not when i had to go to the airport, so I paid for a cab, and probably should have gotten a voucher. hotel staff called the cab, and should have offered. not impressive.

The price was outstanding for the quality of the hotel. Okay location, minimal quality furnishings but okay for the nightI stayed there.

Upon first sight this place seems to seem all right. Seems newly remodeled and front facade is inviting. After you get there, watch out. After getting in the way of two staff members passing the time with a conversation I really did not want to hear I finally got a chance to check in. Late at night, all I wanted to do was crash. Had to park two blocks away on an unlit public street since the 20 stalls behind the hotel were full. Guess the walk did me good but it was not what I was interested in at midnight. The room maid service was horrific. Found a brick of cheese covered with mold and a froze Diet Pepsi in the in room fridge. Found a partially eaten whole chicken parked in the microwave that looked like it had been there for a week. Found crackers and cereal left in the dresser drawer. Found a plastic fork crusted with food on top the wall furnace. What a nightmare. First and last time here. I am sure the only thing worse than my experience would be a true extended stay at this place. Beware.

In downtown and price is just right for the service. The manager is not friendly. The room are non smoking but smell smoke & the floor is dirty, sheet is not clean. New receptionist is rude.

Desk management ""forgot"" to mention that there was a boiler problem when we checked in-not a problem if you like to take cold showers! We contacted the desk clerk in the morning-she was good enough to refund our money.

I liked having wireless in the rooms, having a pool, refrigerator, and microwave available. The very skimpy continental breakfast, parking is terrible, and beds uncomfortable. This room is great if you want to cook, but bring dish soap. The room and bathroom are fine, but the beds are not very comfortable, very soft and wiggly every time you move.

Centrally located, neat, clean, good continental breakfast. Room was warm even with the temp down. This is a nice centrally located hotel in the heart of downtown Anchorage. It is nice, neat, and clean with a good and hearty continental breakfast with great coffee.

The swimming pool. I made a big mistake of getting a smoking room. Big mistakefor it stunk the whole time. The room smelt real bad. Real bad!

Good location, nice rooms. They could include something in the breakfast for people on low carb diets, such as melons, berries, cheese, meat or eggs. I liked this hotel but it seemed the front desk clerk at check-in had a little attitude.

Convenient location. Uncomfortable bed, room wasnot very well cleaned. OK, but not the best place!
