This ESA-Gurnee needs work. When trying to unlock the room door, it took many attempts. It appeared the door lock may have been tampered with in the past. Upon flushing the toilet, it was obvious it was plugged. When contacting the desk, I was told all maintenance staff were gone and she would give me a plunger and I could unplug it. After returning from dinner, I was happy to find that the problem had been fixed by someone else. The tv worked very poorly and when contacting the desk I was told that it takes a while for the tv to work. Thus, no tv to watch. This is a great location for Great America and the mall. The AC worked well.

Location. Very frustrated with extended stays because they only provide a double bed for 2 adult people. Extended Stays are okay. The kitchenettes are very convenient. My biggest issue is being limited to a room with 1 double bed. Two larger adults can not comfortable fit on 1 double size bed.

This eight day stay was not good. Kitchenette was poorly equiped, everything mismatched, 4 hangers in the closet area for "extended stay". No recliner until day 4 of 8 day stay after requesting one repeatedly. There were soiled bed linens upon check in. The entire facility was old and in disrepair and not clean. Staff was friendly and pleasant. Management was apologetic.

Convenient location. Very noisy and uncomfortable beds. The walls were extremely thin and the noise kept us awake well past midnight the entire weekend. Smokers congregated right outside our window so we couldn't ever open it. Light in the room was burned out and the TV remote didn't work even after we requested a second one. Bed was uncomfortable and staff lacked interest in hearing our complaints.

The fixtures were old and the A/C unit was super loud. The TV had no working remote and the front desk replaced it with another non-working remote and said that's the best they could do. Very friendly staff, but not very helpful.

The fact that it had a kitchen. Iwouldhave liked 2 beds or a bigger bed.

We booked this room because it had a kitchenette. It was very clean and was in a great location. The front desk staff was very friendly. We will definitely stay here again when we're in the area.

Great location. Staff seemed mostly concerned. Great location. Showing it's age. Seems dated. Not great for families one bed, no cribs.

Couldn't. It was horrible. Terrible service, crappy pillows, charged for everything. We were provided with two pillows - one of which was so lumpy, it wasn't usable. The staff was well aware of this problem; rather than yank these pillows and replace them, they laughingly redistributed them. The elevator went out - we were on the third floor, with loads of luggage. None of our toiletries were refreshed, nor our coffee. The staff was rude at worst, apathetic at best. Definitely would not recommend.

Excellent location, clean, friendly. Only one bed in room. Excellent location near Great America, clean, and friendly staff, but rooms only have one bed so not the best for a family. No breakfast was included, but a full kitchenette in the room. The desk clerk gave me excellent directions over the phone because I forgot to print them out for the trip; he was very friendly and helpful, as was all the staff (a nice change from recent stays in other motels).

I liked the ironing set up. I couldn't find the remote for the TV. There was no shampoo. The motel was a bit rough, but it was a suite and hence more than adequate. The bed was comfortable and the AC worked well.

It was the least expensive thing I could find in the area. The door lock was broken and the desk staff was not very helpful. I would not stay here again if I could avoid it. The door lock was broken and the desk staff seemed annoyed to have to let us into our room when we came back after dinner.

Thoughtful in every way. Very satisfied. Great environment.

Our bed was very squeaky and uncomfortable and when we notified the front desk they quickly moved us to a different room. Our first room was very smelly. It smelled like burned plastic and dog. It was very conveniently located to Six Flags (the purpose of our stay). The hotel from the outside was very pleasant. The inside of the hotel was dark, smelly and extremely outdated. Our first room was smelly and the bed was broken. Our second room was okay but the bed was still very stiff and we had to call housekeeping to get a shower curtain for our shower. The hotel allows dogs apparently and there were several rooms with barking dogs throughout the evening. The trash at the end of the hallways was never emptied while we were there and smelled of dirty diapers. There was a woman who I am assuming was some sort of regional manager there and twice she was on her cell phone 'airing out the dirty laundry' of the hotel to whomever was on the other end. She seemed so concerned with customer service, yet was being very loud and obnoxious on the phone, walking through the hallways. We will not stay here again.

Firm beds. Safety, the window screen fell out when lightly touched. When I put in for 4 people only one bed was there and no other rooms available, not good.

The location was decent. Nothing else. It was dirty and the employees were disorganized and rude. Staying at this hotel was a bit like camping with a refrigerator and running water. The room was filthy. The garbage from the previous guests was still under the bed. Our feet stuck to the "kitchen" floor. Thankfully we brought a few blankets. When we asked for an extra blanket, 3 times over our 2 day stay, we were told they had no extra blankets in the facility. There was nothing redeeming about this hotel other than the price, which, in my opinion, was costly for the meager accommodations.

Close to the park we went to. No pool lied about availability of double beds. Told us that there was only a room with one bed left. Kids had to sleep on the floor. When walking thru the lobby.

Location from six flags, and amenities were excellent. Nothing it was great. Perfect for comfortable crashing at six flags, so many restaurants around, gas stations for goodies for your fridges and coolers. It was perfect, and it was better than my 2.5 star hotel in downtown Chicago. Extended stay was perfect for my hubby and I.

The evening desk clerk was friendly and helpful. Put us in uncleaned room, shower curtain moldy, front desk mistakenly called us at 2:30 a.m. & woke us up. Probably a reasonable place to stay if you want to visit 6 Flags or surrounding area with a family for several days and don't plan to spend much time at the hotel. Rooms include kitchenette, which was clean, so you can save on food.

The location was very convenient. They were not very professional and the service was poor. I would not visit this hotel again. I had to go to the front desk every time I wanted to get into my room because they keyed my card incorrectly and did not have the equipment available to re-key the card. We requested additional towels and such and they never brought them. They did not have much of a selection of television channels either.
