On the plus side, the front desk staff was friendly. However, I booked (and paid for) a room with a King bed, but the manager said that Orbitz overbooked them and they could only give us a Queen. The room very small but adequate, as we didn't plan to really spend time in it but I was a bit shocked at the lack of basic amenities. Although they advertise a fully stocked kitchen we didn't have water glasses. We had to ask at the desk for shampoo. We won't be staying here again.

Staff were friendly and tried to help. Excellent bed. Kitchenette poorly supplied, Rooms smaller than most ESA rooms. Hallways smelled of stale cigarettes. Don't expect to be able to cook in the kitchenette. It consisted of a two burner range, a refrigerator and a toaster. Supplies were very limited (two forks, two spoons, etc.) and no dish washing liquid or scrubber. Everything very clean except for stale smell in hallway. Staff promptly brought extra bedding and dish liquid when I requested them, and were pleasant and helpful in general. Hotel is quiet and convenient to an In and Out Burger across street. The rooms arenot suites. They are rooms and not large ones. I really don't think you could put a roll away bed in the room and there is not a fold out sofa like in other Extended Stay Hotels. This is designed for one or two people, max. Also, there is an extra charge for internet access. I would probably go back to this hotel but with the realization how very limited it is.

Rooms were clean. Paying for internet, it's free at other CA hotels. The accommodations were nice. I liked having the refrigerator and microwave. I did not like having to pay wireless internet and will not stay at the hotel again for this reason.

I was very pleased with my stay there. The room was very clean, free from bugs, leaks, squeaks, etc. The bed was very comfortable. Was not noisy. Plenty of clean towels, a good hot shower. The staff were friendly & helpful. I felt very safe.

For $150 a night, this was a dump. This hotel was not what was advertised. No shampoo (unless you asked,) no room cleaning, no cups in the bathroom (just the ones in the kitchenette). Small rooms, small tv, only two pillows on the bed. We had hoped to trade up from the Super 8, but this was worse. Location is near freeway but not near anything else (like a Starbucks). At least the Super 8 has some food in the AM. Stay anywhere else!! We will. It is not worth staying here for the kitchenette.....for the price, other hotels have small frigs and microwaves.

Excellent front desk staff, very helpful and friendly. The bed wasn't very comfortable, too hard. No room cleaning service during a 5 night stay.

Nothing, maybe location only. The hotel lobby had trash can overflow, clerk on phone, gave us a room that was smelling like cigs, we left, and did not stay, I was sick by the smell. I feel this may be a hotel for someone who just needs to sleep and move on, a truck driver or business man, not a long stay for travelers who want a place to stay that has pleasurable grounds, and atmosphere.

Resewrved a nnon-smoking room on the web; but was unable to get this on arrival. Front desk is waaay understaffed. Clothes reeked of cigarette smoke the next day,

Room had "funk" smell, even though ad stated renovation, can't say we saw any. Old, smelly, not very comfortable.

Spacious room and well equipped kitchen. Gracious staff and great accommodations. I was pleasantly surprised.

The weight staff were very nice, but the bathroom was horrible. The sink wouldn't drain, I couldn't take a bath because the tub had no plug and when I tried to take a shower, the hot water wouldn't work. It was luke warm at best.

The male evening clerk was great. The night clerk was not at her post to give my son a key. Excellent and very convenient location. Room was clean but beds were lumpy. Staff was not well trained.

This hotel is very low budget. No pool hot tub or even an ice machine. The bathtub and comforter were dirty. I stayed there because of the kitchenette which consisted of a refridgerator, 2 small burners and a microwave. It was right off the freeway and was a little bit noisy at night. The staff were friendly and went out of their way to help when they weren't too busy with other travelers. The kitchenette was clean. There was some garbage i.e. left over piece of candy under the bed. In and Out burger across the street no other restraunt I noticed in walking distance.

The first room we were given smelled of cigarette smoke but the helpful staff was able to make the change for us quickly and easily! Great staff, definitely not a destination hotel butI was using it for business.

The the hotel was in a central location. I would of liked better cooking equipment but otherwise i was somewhat satisfied.

The room was very roomy. The bed and rock hard. When checking in, everyone was so nice and once we got in the room, we thought. Wow.

Although maid service was optional and there was no jacuzzi or pool or restaurant our stay was very pleasant. We were close to bike paths and could easily ride to Santa Barbara or Isla Vista. There are many nice restaurants in the area with plenty to do and see.

Kitchen was well stocked with cookware. The bed was a little stiff. It was a pleasant experience.

ESA Santa Barbara-Calle Real was very accommodating. Not only was the room large, but it was equipped with a full kitchen (stove, microwave, full size fridge, and coffee maker). The hotel itself was in a great location, just in between the winery's and downtown Santa Barbra. The staff were polite, and great with directions.

The air conditioning worked well. Unattractive rooms, smelled like cigarette smoke, uncomfortable beds and sheets. Not attractive and I would not stay again. The front desk person was friendly and the AC worked well but that was about it. The rooms need remodeling and were very unattractive. They smelled like cigarette smoke trying to be covered by floral air freshener.
