Clean rooms and quiet at night; convenient access to Interstate 85 and Emory University. The non-smoking room I booked smelled of smoke. The Extended Stay America hotel on Clairmont Rd is located in a quiet and safe area adjacent to a wooded office park about a mile north of Interstate 85. I stayed here on a Friday night while attending an event at Emory University which was just a couple of miles away. The hotel was easy to find and I was pleased by the abundant parking and tranquil surroundings. Check-in was fast and straightforward courtesy of a helpful desk clerk. My room, which included a bath and kitchenette, was very clean. The bed was comfortable and I barely heard a sound made by other guests except for the occasional closing of a stairwell door at the end of the hallway. Check-out was as smooth and easy as check-in. The one disappointment I experienced was the smell of cigarette smoke in the room; I was told the room was non-smoking. Opening the windows did not lessen the smoke smell.

Not much on ammenities, but excellent value for the money. Good surroundings. Clean hotel, has good kitchen and equiipment, Great choice for extended stay travel.

This is not a place I would have booked if I had read the ""Reviews"" first..Please save your time and money by not booking here. I had the worst time in my 50 years of living at this place. Manager and staff did not care about the problems I brought up like,cleanness in the room,halls and elevator. Not a place for the weak hearted..I was scared the whole time I was there.Plus the air- condition was leaking water in the room for the 3 days I was there, all my luggage had gotten wet from sitting on the floor.

This was a decent room at the rate I got, great location for my purposes. The room had a strange smell, I should have asked to switch but I got in so late I didn't care. Good staff, clean room otherwise.

The staff was such helpful and kind hearted towards me. You need more channels to watch on cable TV. I had nothing but good things to say about the hotel. How clean the room was to up to using the laundry room. The people at front desk in the morning and evening was so kind, and they have the 'best management staff in the world'.

The price was great! Waited 10 minutes at the check in counter without an attendant. The location was perfect for us (wife & I). We had to ask for some shampoo - there was none in the room. We waited at the check-in desk about 10 minutes for attendant - she was apologetic (she was taking care of a room).

Friendly staff. Toilet was fussy. Extended stay is a good value for the money, but not my favorite place to stay. The staff are always friendly and helpful, except when it comes to check-out. Why in the world do I have to hand my room keys in at the desk instead of leaving them in the room. The toilet didn't want to flush, had to be convenienced to do so. Pipes in the shower were really loud. I was glad to be close to downtown, though if I didn't already know my way around I'd've gotten turned and lost around very easily.

Staff was quick to help with any problem that arise- great place to stay with family, close enough to the city. If someone is there more than two days, there maids should come in and change linens and beddings automatically-- instead of guest having to take it. Hotel was nice, staff is friendly, always with a smile-- linens should be changed after two or more days-- quiet and pleasant atmosphere. I enjoyed staying there.

Location. Very smoky rooms had to open windows to air it out. Room I was first assigned was still dirty. Unmade beds, trash, dirty bathroom. Front desk clerk made some comment about housecleaning, no apology was heard. When opened door to second room, was assaulted by odor of old cigarettes. I called back to front desk, they said they would send up some air freshener, never saw it. I ended up opening the windows and running the AC on high while we went out for the evening. After 5 hours, the room still smelled of old cigarettes but was now at least at a level I could stand. This hotel is what it is a budget hotel, neither better nor worse than most of its kind.

Nothing. Had to pay for 2 beds, no daily room service. This was not the type of hotel I was wanting. I had to pay $70.00 more for a room with double beds and the hotel was empty! No daily room service and the bathroom was awful!

Great staff who are accommodating and flexible with room changes. My room was non-smoking but smelled like smoke. The staff was very helpful and found another room for me.
