Went to Vancouver for birthday, had a good time but left early due to back pain. (Bed didn't help)

Not much. Most everything. I would not stay at this hotel again.

We thought the hotel was good for the price... nothing fancy, but as a home base for a weekend in Portland it worked good. It's within 10-15mi of most everything in the immediate Portland area, and the hotel location is in a reasonably quiet area with local retail amenities close by. The little kitchenette was handy. I agree w/ some reviews that the beds were hard, but no big deal. These extended stay type hotels are generally low-service operations as far as room service, concierge, etc., so for the reviews that complain about service, I'd suggest that they buck up for a more regular service, more upscale hotel if that's what they expect.

The room was spacious but The kitchen was lacking the pans, and cutlerie I needed to make a decient meal. They only provided me with plastic cups i had to ask for a glass cup and the shower was not wiped down to my satisfaction. I had to go out to eat one night. and I spent 12$ on my meal that I diddn't feel was justified.

Cheap. The mattress was horrible. Nothing to do at hotel. ( Boring place). I've had better sleep without a mattress.

Really hard mattress -- almost like sleeping on the floor. Clean room, could have used more cooking utensils (like a paring knife). Never did get the phone in the room fixed during stay. Forced to use their wireless connection (for a fee) even though my computer picked up another free, unsecure connection.

If you are having to do much traveling in the area the hotel is two blocks for I-205. Also, there are quite a few places to eat close by. Rooms were clean, it was nice to have a kitchen there. Wireless worked which always makes me happy.

The front desk staff was very helpful.

The staff was very friendly and helpful. The room was very clean and roomy. The bed was rather hard and uncomfortable. An overall great value.

If you are looking for a great place on a budget, I would recomend the Vancouver Extended Stay. Keep in mind this is a no frills facility, you are paying for a clean room with a kitchenette, good bed, an eating table plus desk, a recliner and a somewhat small TV to todays standards. The onsite laundry machines were a plus, as were the great staff. This facility is close to the 205 Freeway giving you quick acess to downtown Portland (10 mins) There were some good resturants within walking distance and a Starbucks across the street. We will definitly be using the Extended Stay America chain on our future trips, they are a great inexpensive option if you can live without the glitz and frills.

Checkout couldn't come soon enough! Everything. Disgusting hotel. Never stay here!

"The room was clean, comfortable, roomy. The bed, however, was like sleeping on a cardboard box."

I was not pleased that people were allowed to smoke in the hallways so that my room had to smell like smoke. Since I am a single female, I did not appreciate the men that were smoking in the hall right outside my room, I didn't feel comfortable with them watching me come and go from my room. The bathtub was not clean which makes me wonder what was cleaned what wasn't.
Date of Stay:
February, 2009
It had a fridge, microwave and sink in the room. It was dirty, hallway smelled like cigarettes and no pool/breakfast/public space. The hotel staff were friendly and helpful. The hotel itself was older, dirty, smelled like cigarettes. On the plus side, the room was an efficiency so it had a small kitchen area with sink, full size fridge, microwave, pots & pans etc.

"For the most part the room was decent. Apart from the extremely hard mattress, it wasn't bad. It was pretty clean and the staff was very pleasant."

Great friendly service.WI-FI available. Nice kitchen. Small bathrooms. Very nice hotel and service. Truly enjoyed my stay.

The front desk girls are very friendly. The mangment. The manager there is a joke! Does not smile or try to be friendly. Treats there staff bad. We had a problem with him, the hotel's computer system charged us for long distance phone calls which we did not make. He came to our room and threated to kick us out two days early. When we went to his boss comes to find out they are best friends, so we all know no trouble there.

The bed was terrible -- horribly uncomfortable. The receptionist took too long to check us in, was talking to another employee rather than helping us. The bed was terrible, the worst bed in nearly 20 years of travel. Just awful. A bed in a Motel 6 is better than this motel.

Very inexspensive. No amenities. Rooms were adequite somewhat clean roomy. Full kitchen was nice. There was nothing offered to do.
Date of Stay:
September, 2008
Clean, safe area of town and kitchen included. No maid service. The staff was friendly and upbeat. The location is handy for access to highways going any direction to business or tourist areas. New clean shopping and restaurant areas are close by with many nation wide chain stores represented. I was completely satisfied.
