very good hotel clean good value for moneyhotel did not do evening meals, but that was no problem due to the pub right by it (only 1 min walk) the barn owl did excellent meals. but hotel was excellent.

Would recommend this hotel We wanted an overnight hotel whilst visiting relatives. The hotel was easy to find, extremely clean and well presented, the staff were very helpful and the breakfast was more than we expected. Although the hotel was out of town there was a pub on the other side of the car park which was very pleasant and family friendly. We were very impressed with the whole experiance and will definately be using this hotel again.

Room clean and comfortable, reception service just adequate, good safe parking. Breakfast?Breakfast staff required training in customer care and awareness and person overseeing and directing matters. Cleanliness/clearing of tables poor and did not like visiting kitchen to request plates, bowls, cups and food replenishment. The hotel and the room was clean and comfortable, quiet air conditioning, but, requiring to pay for wifi is a NO NO in a hotel of this standing - obviously did not use, so, must purchase other means of access to internet if using chain again. Booking in, only me waiting OK, BUT, only one receptionist on duty when booking out having to queue behind four families [each having different payment methods and travel / information enquiries] causing me difficulties and subseqently rushing for planned appointment.

Not for vactionersA typiacl business hotel, no better or worse than any other big chain lodge/inn.Breakfast was rather too much of a "staff canteen" experience.

The receptionist was excellent. The hotel adhered to my request for a quiet end of room corridor and remembered my phone call when I arrived. £99.95 is still a lot to pay for less than 12 hours in what is in reality in the budget hotel category

devon delightafter a very long journey we were very pleased to arrive to no booking problems and a lovely clean room with all the facilities we needed. Also next morning the help yourself breakfast meant there was no hold ups to an early start.

We have stayed in this hotel before and found it fine - it's clean and you get what you expect. However, we had a small problem checking in - the rate they tried to charge us was £20 more per night than we had been quoted on Late Rooms. From other comments this happens a lot with bookings on this it seems. When I produced the paperwork, the receptionist just said 'Fine, I will change the rate', which was OK but I think this is dodgy - them trying to charge more. The breakfast on the first morning was inadequate (ran out of plates and there was hardly any food left). I think for the price they charge they should also provide a bathroom with a bath, but that's just my opinion! It's an OK hotel and we would stay there again but be warned about taking proof of room rate with you.

First room given although non-smoking someone had been smoking in there recently. Also sofa-bed made up as if more than two people were staying result was we had nowhere to sit apart from on the beds. After complaining to reception an alternative was given to us and this was fine.

Despite stipulating on my LateRooms.com booking form that we had one 5 year old and one 7 month old, we were then given a room which had x1 double bed for us and x1 double sofa-bed for the children.I asked for a cot but that blocked access in and out of the hotel room too much and I believe would have constituted a fire hazard.The sofa bed was very uncomfortable and not flat (slanted) and my 5 year old did not sleep well.We are not happy and would not recommend this to anyone with children.

The internet access in the foyer was very useful. Smoking around the front entrance is not so good. Need to de-clutter the dining area for breakfast, all in all a very good hotel.

the hotel was a good place to stay, but the food was not very nice also they had no varietyrooms were not up to standard and very basis, no internet connection

The room was small and depressingly dark. The bed, allegedly new, was very uncomfortable. The shower glass had mold around it.The whole hotel experience was extremely poor - the staff we spoke with were disinterested in our comments - the best response was ' we will take them into consideration'!! Our advice is to look at some of the other smaller hotels in the area, they give much better value for money and a more enjoyable stay.
