This hotel was a good budget value for travelers. Be prepared to pay a minimum of 8 pounds to get a cab each way to cambridge (can be much higher when stuck in traffic!) Overall a pleasant, no-frills budget hotel.

Very helpful and friendly staff. Evening meal selection could do with being a bit more varied. I would stay with there again though most definatly or at any other Holiday Inn Express.

Clean and comfortableMy partner and I stayed for 2 nights. The hotel is nice and clean, modern decor and friendly staff. Its a little out of the city centre but only a £8 taxi. We scored the cheap rate for a family room and would definatly not be happy had we paid the full rate. its really small and Id hate to see 2 adults and 2 kids squeeze into it. Overall it was a nice stay.

Friendly staff. Location. Hotel is good value for price, staff is friendly, breakfast is good. Rooms are ok, typical Holiday Inn Express rooms. However, location is bad -- even if the postal address is Cambridge, you'll need a car or taxi to get anywhere around town.

Great location for a family weekend breakQuick and easy check in and a friendly greeting. Room very clean and beautifully presented, beds comfortable and a good size, although our two children would have preferred singles to having to share a double bed in the family room setup. Self service breakfast was kept well stocked and lots of choice - plenty to keep us going all day! Was especially good value as we got a deal for 2 nights, only £20 more than staying for 1 night!

Fair value. Worn carpet. We stayed 1 night at this hotel with 2 children, aged 12 and 9 when visiting Cambridge (we were students there). Our room has a double bed, a sofa bed and the degree of comfort for the bed is a 7 out of 10. The room and bathroom is clean. But the carpet in the room has stains and is worn. We had a car so the location was convenient. The hotel offers free parking and basic service. A basic breakfast is also included for free. It served us well for our purpose.

Very good value at GBP50 per night for a family room (me, wife 2 kids). Room very clean (though a little cramped). Decent buffet breakfast. Evening meals/bar overpriced, so ate out. Wifi over-priced.

Clean, good staff overall, decent food. Inconvenient location, it is not city centre as you falsely advertise it to be! This place isn't bad overall. However, it is located near the Cambridge airport so there is some noise from that. It is a 30-40 minute walk to city centre, or a 10-15 minute walk and then a 2 pound bus ride that's another 10-15 minutes. However, true city centre hotels are quite expensive, and this place isn't a bad deal. I'd stay again.

Express Holiday Inn CambridgeVery good value for Cambridge but too far to walk into central Cambridge. 40 minutes on Sunday morning but you wife will not want to do the walk in high heels on Saturday night!Rooom fine and breakfast ok as in with the price. Taxi into cambridge cost £8.50.

We had a large and very nicely furnished room and bath. The breakfast was minimal in quality. A clean, modern and safe hotel which is convenient if you have a car.

I got what I paid for and found the hotel as expected of a chain type hotel. Toilet was not clean on arrival but other than this everything was fine. Paid £100 on laterooms for 2 nights with continental breakfast (which was good) and enjoyed our stay.

may day bank holiday short breakRoom excellent, but customer service very up and down. Often nobody available on reception, and breakfast rather ordinary.On second morning the TV was turned away from us whilst having breakfast, to point at staff on reception.

not bad for the deal i got from lateroomsthe hotel was very clean and tidy, the staff were pleasant enough and very helpfull. we chose this hotel as a laterooms deal allowed us to get the room for 100 for 2 nights. this was a good price to pay. if we had paid the usual price of 120 per night i would class it as overpriced. everything was fine, i especialy liked that you didn't have to check out till 11 and breakfast was from 8 till 11, a well thought out policy i thought. i did think the breakfast was a little limited and could have done with a couple of other options. one last thing was that the taxi into town and back cost 20 pound so its not super cheap to just pop into town.

Great value, clean accommodation for a short stayVery clean comfortable rooms (not huge but adequate for a short stay), very good value for a family of four (B+B for£50 per night over Easter weekend), good selection buffet breakfast, secure parking. Recommended for good value overnight/short stay.

City BreakThis is a nice hotel outside of the city but the walk into town was only about 30 mins and you get to see more of the sites on the way in, there was also a regular bus just a short walk down an ally way skirting a nature reserve and army training ground so it is a pleasant walk, the bus stop is outside the pub so if you've misssed it you can always have a pint while you wait for the next one. The hotel is clean and the staff were helpful, breakfast was pastries, toast, fruit etc, and nice coffee, no full english which suited us. We didn't eat an evening meal or lunch at the hotel so cannot comment on the cooking/restaurant. Overall I would say £50-£70 per night is a fair price for this hotel.
