The Express By Holiday Inn Newbury Park London is just over a half an hour drive from Epping Forest. This is the largest public space in all of London. An equal drive in the opposite direction will find one in the center of the city. Both locations can be reached by tube in roughly the same amount of time. The location is also very near the site of the 2012 Olympic games.

Great value for money I paid £70 a night which was great value. Very clean and rooms in very good condition. Would stay again and have already recommended to my colleagues.

Ideal for the tube......Arrived early and we were allowed to check in but the receptionist was talking to his mate on the phone whilst booking me in!The room was as expected and clean though there was no bedding for the kids and the toilet door handle was broken. These were both sorted by the time we arrived back in the evening.Breakfast is fine with plenty of room to sit. We ate in London so cant comment on the cooked food.The tube is 4 mins walk away and all at street level so no underpasses or dark subways to walk through if returning late at night. A day pass costs around £6 if bought for travel after 9.30am Its around 20 - 25 mins on the central line to Holborn.Car parking is free if you give reception your reg no and they let us park there after checking out but ask for a car park pass from reception (If he's not calling his mate).McDonalds and Sainsburys are next door. Would stay there again but I would make sure I got the no smoking room I asked for as the coridoor on the 3rd floor smells of smoke and it does drift into the room at times.

good clean hotel, friendly staff , not the safest car park, an attempt to break into my vehicle cost me £1000.00 hotel has disclaimer notice up so claiming from insurers,

We stayed just one night and were very impressed with the hotel, clean and modern and our room was very nice. They had not provided bedding for the childrens sofa bed but after a call to reception they quickly sorted this for us. Some confusion with different reception staff about timings for breakfast which was frustrating as when we went for breakfast at 9:35 having been told it was served until 10:30 on bank holidays, we were then told they had stopped serving but as it was buffet style there was still food available so we were served. All in all good value for money, very handy location for the underground which was a 3 minute walk and free guest car parking. Would be happy to stay there again.

Not what we bookedWe booked a room specifically containing a double bed and sofa. What we actually got on arrival was a small room containing to single beds. We were then told that was all they had and that nothing could be done about it.We had hoped for a romantic weekend in London, which we were visiting in order to attend a friends 40th Birthday. What we got was to say not very romantic at all when forced to sleep apart.

Thought the £9.95 fee for downloading emails & internet access was a little excessive especially as many places now offer free wi-fi.

Really good overall, near to tube for visiting London. Nice, clean new hotel. Only minor problem was not enough seating at tables for breakfast-just had to sit in rest of seating area.

The room was absolutely spotless and everything worked - air con, heating, kettle, TV, internet. It was very comfortable and there was no noise from outside and the fact that a party was being held downstairs. A very comfortable couple of nights. Car parking good. Felt safe and secure. Everything was clean and worked well.Continental breakfast was good with reasonable choice and good quality food. Lovely smell of fresh croissaints and bread.Staff very friendly and helpful.We didn't travel with young children but there were young children there and they seemed happy and well cared for and not frustrated by any issues. I would have been happy taking my children there when they were younger.

Good basic accommodation designed for 1-2 nights stay and primarily seems to be aimed at the business market. We stayed for one night in order to attend a family funeral and found it very suitable at a reasonable cost. Would use the group again for a short city break.

I choose this hotel for it's location for a business appointment the next morning. Overall the hotel offered good value for money and had friendly staff and I would stay here again.

slightly dissapointed as i'd had such a great experience when we stayed at Reddich a few weeks earlier - same chain. At London the staff were indifferent whilst at Reddich they were friendly and very helpful.
