Someone shoot the designer!!Hotel and staff were fine but the design of the room was the most impractical I have ever had the misfortune to experience. Looked OK, quite sort of trendy but there were no drawers, only shallow open hanging space not wide enough for two hangers, worktop at an angle so no real area to put anything like documents on it, only one chair, beverage tray on stand at narrowest part of room so awkward as nearly sat on base of a bed and blocking passage way. Only one double hook and towel rail in bathroom and no other hooks anywhere so not enough places to hang wet towels and dressing gowns etc and in our case wet coats.Wi fi was available only if you had your own laptop and at £5+ minimum and over £10 a day. Ridiculous if you only want to pick up an e mail or look up local info on the internet. The location was good for us but we would only stay here again if there are other styles of room or if we couldn't get in somewhere else.

We came to Oxford to explore the University and city center. The hotel is a good distance away from city center - it cost about 10 pounds to take the taxi and the bus takes at least half an hour to get there though at a cheaper price. The hotel is mainly used by guided tours and people watching the game at the Kassam Stadium that is just right behind the hotel. As a result it's really quiet some nights and really noisy in other nights. My main complaint about this hotel though is how the rooms - at least our room - and the hallway smelled like someone has been smoking in them. I believe the hotel room we got is a non-smoking one. But it doesn't matter since people would smoke outside the hotel right outside the room's open window. The first night was rather horrid as the bus drivers liked to smoke right outside our room, but we couldn't quite keep the windows close the entire time since it gets rather stuffy inside. The one redeeming part of the hotel is its breakfast buffet. The variety may look small but it was quite satisfying. They have so many kinds of spreads and good tea & coffee. The place is ok, if your main goal is to visit Oxford. I would advice not going here if you have allergies, particularly hay fever, since there are pollen and dandelions flying around all the time. The city center is ok, but it does have a bit of pollen also.

The bar area was comfortable. Nice breakfast and helpful staff. The location. It was very hard to find. Comfortable. No internet access except for a laptop. Helpful staff. Need to take a cab to the city center.

A hot nightIn a night during a heat-wave it was frustrating that this hotel was not air-conditioned. The room - facing the afternoon full sun - might have been cooler if the housekeepng staff had left the curtains closed during the day.

had a great stay. Well located for the visitor that wants to see more than the tourist sights in central London.

A functional, clean hotel.Although not a particuarly enticing building from the outside, the room we had in this hotel was clean, functional and quite spacious. We stayed in the hotel for two nights to attend a friend's wedding in town, which is a 20 minute £20 taxi journey away. For a last minute cheap deal on somewhere to lay our heads for the two nights we were quite satisfied.

Very Good - SOFT BED !!!! Beware if you have a bad back then these beds will cripple you - They are very soft but luckily our room had a sofa bed that was very comfortable - the staff were very helpful and came and made the bed up for us Breakfast was a good continental and good value for money Overall a 5/5 stay would willingly return

The room had no proper cupboard or drawer space - not a problem for an overnight stay, but would be inconvenient for a longer stay.Great shower!Breakfast is the only meal available & is a fairly basic continental style.

Heater in room was a bit of a challenge to find. The dining chair was quite warm though

Nice hotel, very good service, room was very good too no issues other than the taxi fare you need to get to and back to city centre, will re-think next time I stay on oxford.

No restaurant only Continental breakfast. Easy to find but adjacent to the Kassam football stadium so avoid match days. Bar drinks very expensive.

Good stay - does what it says on the tin - clean and comfy - but nothing flashy. Just a continental breakfast on offer. We used a hotel cot for our daughter and this was broken and stained (though cleaned afeter every use apparently - and no alternative available) - which was a little dissappointing.

Although the hotel is some distance from Oxford, it was still a convenient 'centre' for us. The staff were able to direct us to good quality resaurants. The hotel itself was clean and well-appointed - it was the usual, rewliable place we have come to expect from this type of accomodation.

Hotel chosen as going to concert in Oxford and due to Silverstone weekend had limited choice, so had to stay outside Oxford! Hotel adequate for needs, bit too far out and near to a run-down area which we walked through to get Bus into Oxford. Taxi back at 11pm cost £20 as didn't fancy coming back through the area by bus late at night. Ideal location though if going to event at Kassam Stadium or nearby.

I had to travel into Oxford while I stayed, I thought that the location of the hotel was nearer...I did use taxis and the buses but the service on the bus was not ideal and not safe for women on their own. I also wanted room service eventually that evening and was disappointed that only a very poor external choice was available. I would not stay here again...too far away from centre and that needs to be on your web site

Easy to find, although next to the football stadium, which I would imagine might cause access problems on a match day. Staff seemed friendly. The room was spacious and clean, and reasonably well furnished. All you would expect from a new hotel, although the drains were slow in the bathroom which left a wet floor!
