Excellent accommodationHotel was in a very good location right by the docks next to the Echo Arena. Room was lovely, very clean and staff appeared friendly. Hotel 5-10 minutes walk from shopping centre, and plenty of bars and restaurants to choose from. Only slight disappointment was the complimentary breakfast, was expecting some hot food but none available. Overall an excellent stay and would recommend.

Staff. Bed was not very comfortable. The hotel is in a good location and is good for the price. We would stay there again.

Excellent location at the heart of this revitalised city centreExcellent location on Albert Dock close to Liverpool Arena. Spacious room (family room), pleasantly decorated.Minor negatives: minimal tea/coffee supplies in room; car parking information provided by hotel is incorrect. Public car parking was advertised as being available for £5 for 24 hours but is actually £15.

Fantastic place to stay after Echo Arena concertThe location in the vibrant Albert Dock complex is ideal for visitors. We travelled from Leeds to see the excellent Leonard Cohen in concert at the Arena which is literally a 5 min stroll from the hotel. Arrival at reception was very smooth and we were in our room with a view over the river within 10 minutes. The room was very clean and well equipped. Staff were helpful and breakfast was plentiful. We were also able to quench our thirst after the concert as the hotel bar stayed open until 2:00am. An excellent short stay.

fantastic location to stay. lively eateries and shops to viewstayed at this hotel for a night before going to isle of man to holiday with my daughter who lives there. met my daughter and partner in liverpool and they also stayed the night. ideal location with a museum for kids and adults to enjoy, bugs life was unfortunately having problems with their fire alarm system but looking at it through the window it looked worth a visit. plenty shops in the surrounding area. only 5 minutes walk to the main shopping area. liverpool is a very clean modern city. my first visit to the centre of liverpool . we usually just pass through on the way to the ferry to isle of man. our plan is to go back next year for a much longer stay and we would definetly stay at this hotel again. very good value for money. our only gripe would be the lack of a cooked breakfast because we love our bacon and eggs in a morning although the selection of the continental breakfast was plentiful. the staff were so friendly and welcoming. it was a pleasure to stay at this hotel. extra towels were delivered to us 5 minutes after asking for them and the hotel stored our cases for us for the day while we went sight seeing even though we had paid our bill and checked out. five star treatment throughout.

A Very Handy Hotel indeed! We stayed at the hotel basically to go to a concert at the Liverpool Echo Arena, we didn't realise that it was only 200 yards or so between them, which meant that we could park the car up and leave it until the next day. The hotel is situated in the Albert Docks which has a good selection of restaurants, shops and museums without even venturing into Liverpool centre (which is only 10 minutes walk away anyway) so you can literally get everything you need without going for. Disabled access is good, despite the cobbles! Vending machines are available in the hotel reception in case you get peckish, which we did. Good selection of food at breakfast. Will use this hotel again if we go to another concert at the Arena.

This is a great location the rooms are excellent, the breakfast is good. The thing which would improve the experience is for the reception staff who were all very pleasant to have more knowledge of liverpool and its attractions. They were not able to direct us to Hope Street or the theatres without reference to very illegible handout map. There were plenty of them so it would not have diverted them from their work. They were chatty but they did not have the knowledge.

ticks all the right boxes for a cheap night awayI've stayed in numerous other hotels in liverpool. Most of these hotels have been more more expensive, but if your looking for a great place to bed down for the night in a spacious, clean and quite room then this hotel has the lot. A great location if your having a night out in the docks or off to a concert at the nearby echo areana. Friendly staff and non intrusive security on the door at night that gives you great piece of mind. If you can try and get a room that over looks the dock itself, great views!!!!

Lively Stay in vibrant LiverpoolLoved the room, atmospheric, being part of the old Warehouse and super view of the Mersey. Good position for the interesting dock area, lots to do there and not too far to walk into the shopping and museum areas - buses are frequent and tourist open top takes you round too.Staff friendly, clean and well-run hotel. Noisy on the Friday night of the weekend we were there, because of stag/hen parties, but other two nights were OK. Try and get room on higher floor not overlookig front door and you may find it less noisy.

stay at Albert DockWe stayed overnight as we were going to a concert at the Liverpool Echo Arena. The hotel was ideally situated for the Arena and for bars and restaraunts. It was also really close to the shops in the city centre. The room was lovely with a nice view and we would definitely stay again.

We can't praise this hotel enough, from the staff, rooms, to the location. Excellent !!Though we live within 15 miles of the City centre we decided to stop over as we were at a Concert in the Echo Arena which is less than 5 minutes walk from the hotel. I’ve stopped in dozens of hotels on business, 3* to 5* and used Holiday Inn Express a number of times. The experience was so good that when we booked a holiday to California last year we had no hesitation in staying in three of their US counterparts. As soon as you enter the Hotel, visit Reception then pass through the huge corridors you get the feeling that this is a well presented, very clean, well run hotel. Set in the Albert Dock, the conversion from a dock warehouse to a hotel is something to marvel at. Our room overlooked the dock and the view was great. The room was spacious and immaculate. We exhausted the supply of the little milk cartons so I popped down to reception again only to be told that they would bring a supply up in a moment. No sooner than I was back in our room than the Receptionist was at the door with more milk. Cheerful Receptionist to equally Cheerful Milk Maid in an instant. There isn’t a restaurant but there are plenty of bars and restaurants in the immediate area but none of the noise or hustle bustle will impact on a great nights sleep. Even though it was a Sunday evening the well stocked Hotel Bar was open till 2am, which was great for that last nightcap.Continental Breakfast was good and plentiful and we were allowed to leave our luggage at Reception while we took a stroll around the dock and into the city centre proper (10 mins walk). If you are visiting the City (there is so much to see and do) or even if you are a local and feel like treating yourself then we would thoroughly recommend this Hotel. Apologies if I sound like a Holiday rep but honestly, we are so impressed with this hotel that we may book again when the Matthew Street Music Festival is on.

Surprisingly good valueI've stayed in quite a few hotels in this budget range but I was very (pleasantly) surprised at this one. Titanically huge room, spotlessly clean with excellent facilities. My only slight gripe in fact was the sheer size of the hotel - it obviously used to be a warehouse and walking to my room it feels like it - endless broad corridors that all look exactly the same - a little more signage might be nice. Breakfast was fine - a cooked option would be nice but considering the rates that's a minor quibble. Very pleasant staff and all round a very good advertisement for the chain.

Comfortable stay at the Albert DocksFirst visit to the Albert docks, the Holiday Inn express was a great location . We were met at the door and given helpful information on where to park our car. The staff were helpful and courteous during our stay. The room was clean and comfortable and a good standard. We enjoyed a substantial continental breakfast with views out to the river. Shame about the weather but will definately make a return visit, plenty to see and shop in Liverpool.
