Overall this hotel was awesome. I would have given it 4.5 stars if I could. $27 cab ride from the airport, great downtown location next to Granville Island, shopping and the beach. Walking distance to Stanley Park and other downtown attractions, and bus stops everywhere nearby. The traffic was sometimes a bit noisy from our room (we were on the 6th floor), but I think any of the downtown hotels would be that way, and it wouldn't keep me from staying here again. Our room was smallish but modern and very clean, with a cool view of downtown. A free glass of wine every day in the restaurant offered a nice way to try different regional wines before venturing out for dinner. The best part about this hotel, however, was how incredibly friendly and helpful the staff was. I cannot say enough good things about them!

Convenient. Dirty jacuzzi and very small room.

we went to vancouver to celebrate my husband's birthday. the first room (which we could both not move around in at the same time it was that small). we had no hot water. luke warm at best. at 9 pm that night we were moved into a suite. we then had to call down because the remote to the tv was broken. we finally left to enjoy the night life, came back to the hotel in light snow, to find our room was a mere 44 degrees. the heater did not work. at 1 am! they sent someone in to "look" at the heater. then they sent someone at 6:30 am. meanwhile, they offered us free room service breakfast to make up for the trouble. when the breakfast arrived, the man told me I owed him 50 dollars because free means 20 dollars and then we paid the rest. we received a full refund but we definitely would tell anyone to go anywhere else.

My wife and i enjoyed this Hotel. Within walking distance to all attractions, shopping, dining and entertainment. The wine tasting are great and the views spectacular. B.C has great wine. I highly recommend this hotel. Some rooms are smaller than others, but the hotel has much variety...we were also upgraded on our last night to a larger luxurious suite and the room was amazing, spacious and the view facing English Bay was spectacular from the 16th floor.

My sister and her husband stayed at the same hotel at the same time we did. However, they booked their hotel room through another agency. They got a much bigger room with 2 Queen-size beds and they got free breakfasts.

they upgraded our hotel room because they did not have shuttle service from airport. No airport shuttle service & we believed that service was available. Hotel was very nice. Employees were very helpful in regard to our problem of no shuttle service. They helped us set up a bus tour of Vancouver.

The room was a tad bit small and the "master" power switch was odd but it was a nice hotel over all. The bed was large and warm, LCD tv (not that that mattered) and a nice bathroom. The hotel had its charm. One CON: The price of the hotel does not include parking. I wouldn't have a problem with that if it were disclosed upon purchase but it was just an unpleasant surprise. $13 for the night and you are covered until 3pm the next day so it was not bad.

Very pleased with the hotel and service; just the location is somewhat inconvenient for touring the City.

We got a SUPER discount, which is why we booked here. I thought a wine "happy hour" would be nice too, but the "tasting" was just that - a small glass of whatever they had as special for the evening. And it was only Monday - Saturday, so since our stay was Friday - Monday, we only had four total glasses! My husband didn't like the beds, but I was pretty comfortable. The location is very good, but there is a Quality Inn next door, and I would probably stay there next time unless they offered a great deal. The $12/day parking plus fees was a little overboard, I thought.

The lights in the room were dim. The staff was friendly and helpful. The room was big enough but the lighting was dim. The hotel dining was more expensive than I like, but there were other places in the area to eat. The hotel next door was a stop for the trolley and buses can be caught just a block away. The gym and the hot tub looked inviting. The beds were firm and comfortable. I never woke up hearing water running in another room.

We had two rooms; one was very nice size, the other was quite small--the hotel is circular so where you are on the circle matters. Staff was quite unfriendly--my son was referred to as ""the kid"". We needed an early ride to the airport (with the new security measures in place) and the hotel refused to provide shuttle service. The positive was that it is right at a transportation hub and you can easily get around the city with the great public transportation system. The Quality Inn next door might be a better option.

I was forced to lock in the elevator with 13 other people in the elevator. The elevator is suppose to hold only 12 people. The experience is not quite pleasant. The worst thing is after getting out of the elevator the hotel shown no appology in the matter. The check in process also unpleasant. When I requested a different it was made clear to me because I pay at a discounted price, the room is not to be equiped with a better view. I felt insulted......so should you.

Lights were partly damaged, had to pay for internet use and had problems to find hotel. Too much money for a moderate hotel.

Nice hotel at south end of Vancouver (central) and near Granville island. We used buses for everything and got around fine. Small but nice rooms. Ok rest. Price was fair. If you don't like to walk it is a little far (1 mile) to Stanley Park and downtown. We were fine. Would stay there again if price stayed good.

there was only 1 person on the desk and was new and overwhelmed. the dining room was closed on sundays and we arrived on a sunday. the first room was on a busy main street so we asked for a room at the back. this room and bathroom was tiny.

Excellent bed, double sheeted, nicely updated room. Room by busy roadway, not able to reduce noise. This hotel's location is outside the main downtown but was satisfactory if you like to walk. It is an easy walk to Granville Island or Robeson street. Further, bus service to other areas is easily accessible. There is a fairly large number of homeless in the area so use public transportation if you go out at night unless you are familiar with the area. There was excessive room noise from the highway which was difficult to reduce. We closed the windows, pulled the curtains and turned the air conditioner fan on which helped somewhat. The room was very small but acceptable. However, the pillows were not good. We used the decorative pillows which were fine. Water pressure was unpredictable and the hot water was very hot. Maid service was ok. However, a daily request for an extra towel was ignored. Because of this experience, should I return to Vancouver.

Our room was very clean and comfortable despite the size - small, very small. It had a modern retro feel that we really liked and we couldn't believe how quiet it was in a city of over 2 milliion. The restaurant was lovely but on the high end - had dinner there one night and the service and food were excellent - had a comfortable patio on the second floor to enjoy while dining. Yaletown is very near as is the ferry to Granville Island. We did walk to Gastown but that was a hike! Took taxi to Stanley Park. We would stay there again.
