Awful!!!! got here on deal, got treated like they knew that. terrble room on the ground floor, no fridge no microwave no bathtub NO COFFEE MACHINE. We were told this was intentional and we could not get one (coffee machine), that if we wanted a coffee we would have to purchase it at the food court, . Starbucks was recommended, 4 dollars!!!!! you get nothing but a bed with the springs poking you in the back and a table and tv. If one were to have the money to enjoy themselves at this hotel, they wouldn't BE at this hotel. Garbage from the previous tenneants was left in the hall the entire first day.

I paid for 2 rooms from aug.14'2009 to aug.16'2009 rooms 4226 and 4224/room 4226 was real hot 82deg. all the time and rm 4224 was 65 deg and lower all the time thermostats were not working.on top of that fire alarms went off after 11pm friday and 3:10 am on sat. so none of us got any sleep.I have a broken wrist and have on a wrist support. so it is hard for me to sleep and I stayed awake after the alarms went off.afraid of a fire starting and couldn't get out. I also paid for the wide screen rooms and the beds were hard there were not pillow top soft mattresses. so I am very disgusted with my stay at the excaliber hotel

I will definitely come back to this hotel. The room itself and bathroom is spacious. It's clean and pretty decent. I love the wide screen tv. Although, I'd like a better affordable rate, I still think that even if I paid more it's worth the price. The only thing that I didn't like was holding $20.00 on a debit charge card but not really charging it. That to me doesn't make sense. It gives you a bad trip when checking in using a debit card.

Cleanliness. People at every door trying to sell/give away things. The public areas were crowded and filled with smoke. This was just not our type of vacation area. Did not like all the salesman at doors.

The people offering a free gift became a bit tedious.The room was o.k,apart from a stain on the carpet that housekeeping did nothing about and one bed spread had a tear in it that wasn't replaced during our stay.Overall for the price it was good.Restaurants were fine,Check in and out was quick.Location is good.Would stay again.

I shouldn't complain because I got a pretty good deal on the room. I figured I wouldn't be spending my time in the hotel room in Vegas anyways. However, I didn't expect the room to look THAT outdated. The Excalibur opened in 1990, but the room where I stayed has been there since the 1970's. Brown berber carpet, a dinky tv, and 1970's grandma furniture. I did like the bathroom though, it was large and wasn't bad looking. The room was clean, and the location was fairly good too. The "Tournament of Kings" show was really campy and cheesy, but it came with a dinner. The timeshare people were really annoying. They were in several of the hotels. If they approach you, just tell them "I'm leaving today," and they will leave you alone. WARNING!!!~ DO NOT do the timeshare presentation unless you are willing to give up several hours of your vacation for free stuff. For a really good $$$ deal, I would stay here again.

hotel for the price was ok.location was good for my wife and i.cleaniness to us was good with a great lady for a maid.the only complaints are the pool needs to be open at 7am not 9am as it was to hot(over 100 degree's)the sun bit my ass after the first week at 110degrees.no ones fault but my own. the second thing is the pool area needs more free shaded area's as we saw at least three people get taken out with sun related problems thanks,and we would stay at the excaliber again if the price is right.

They had a low limit blackjack table in the casino. The ridiculous sales people that bombard you as you walk by. We got a good deal on our stay and the first room was adequate, but after dinner and a little gambling, we were ready to go to sleep. Upon returning to the room we smelled a stench in the air like burnt hair. We realize our bathroom sink, right next to our toothbrushes I might add. A call to the front desk returned an engineer with a plunger to plunge the sink. Upon his exit I called and asked the front desk to get us another room. They were more than willing but we were upset that we had to pack up all our luggage again and we were still sick our stomachs from the stench in the air. It took 45 minutes from my second call to the front desk for a bell hop to swagger down the hall at a snail's pace to deliver the key to our new room. Needless to say I didn't give him anything for his lack of effort. Finally, we arrived in our second room and it was like a completely different hotel. Everything was new with great looking decor and a big screen TV, not some box from the 80s. They had obviously upgraded us for our difficult which really did melt away the anger and frustration from everything that had happened. I rate the hotel then on our overall experience not the first or second room. If rating on the first, I would probably give 1s all around, if on the second 9s or 10s.

The room was small and lacked basic needs as a coffee maker or a shower cap. Other than that it was clean and personnel was courteous. Internet was $15.00 per day. A surprise at the end: "Resort daily charge" fee. Food ok. Night show was good.

The price was great for what you got at this hotel. Area was not kid friendly, no pool, arcade etc. This hotel wasexcellent value for the price. I would recommend this hotel for travelers that have been to Fremont street and are familiar with what to expect. This hotel is not the place to stay if you have older children with you as there are no arcades, pool or hot tub in this hotel.

I really enjoyed my stay at Excalibur. It is good value for Money The check in was straightforward and easy. Nice Room with solid walls and a good view towards the Luxor Pyramid. Rooms spotless cleaned every day. There was a Kiosk selling Foods at the bottom of the Elevators, and this was handy for Breakfast, taking a Fruit cup and Coffee back to my room. I would stay here again.

To start off with, the TV in the room did not work we had to keep moving the wires in the back to get a good picture. The beds were about 25 years old you can see and feel the springs from the top of the bed. The staff was rude and not very helpful. The players club has the worst service that I have ever seen. I waited in line for 50 min. for a dinner comp which later I learned from another visitor that they had two for one dinner that night but they did not tell us that. We had a do not disturb sign on our door and at 9 in the morning we could hear a working on his radio out side our door calling the front desk to tell them to call us and let him in because we called in a broken towel rack, which we never called. I was told that this hotel was a good place to stay but let me tell you our whole experience was terrible, I will never stay here again and I will definitely not recommend it to anyone.

The hotel was great. Check in was easy and the rooms are easy to get to, there not hidden amongst the slot machines. Each tower was guarded by security. The rooms are clean and have some spiffy decor in them. The pool area was nice. There were 4 pools to choice from. The only disappointing thing about the pools are they close at 8:00pm and the sun isn't even down by that time and summertime in Vegas means its hot all day and night long. There is plenty to choice from to eat. They have a steak and seafood house, buffet, and even fast food for those in a hurry or with picky kids. They have sandwich shops, dough nuts, Chinese food to go, and even a quick-y mart. The Arcade was excellent, tons to do and a lot bigger then most of the other hotels. It was very family friendly and clean. The people working the counters and games were very nice. The entertainment was awesome. We saw the Tournament of Kings dinner show and it was well worth it. I would suggest taking the family to see it. All in all the hotel was great, one of the better ones for the family. Lots to do and see and very comfortable. Every time you walk by a worker of the hotel they make to sure to smile at you and see if everything is going well.
