Hotel Eurostars Laietana PalaceThis hotel was excellent, brilliant location 5 minutes from Port Vell and Les Rambles, 15 minutes from the beaches , was 50 yards from a metro stop and bicycle hire. The hotel was very clean and modern, the staff were extremely helpful and all were fluent in English. Barcelona itself is a gorgeous, relaxing city, when I visit again I will check availability at the Laietana Palace first.

Barcelona is about the architecture and the beach. this hotel was between the two, on the edge of the Gothic Quarter, and less than a block from the Metro Station.

This hotel is well located, particularly if you arrive by train because it is an easy walk with luggage They also allowed early check in which allows you to maximise your time in Barcelona. It is handy to local attractions. While not the cheapest hotel it is good value and I would stay there again. The fact that the staff spoke English was an added bonus.

Room was pretty clean. Size was nice, fairly big including bath. Had a nice size safe. Electricity converter would not fit (round). No wash clothes in Europe and hard to shower, no shelf in shower for items. On and off bus discount at hotel was a plus.

lovely hotel, very claen and great location. rooms slightly small, but have everything you need. buffet breakfast was great, with a great selection. would definitely stay again on a return trip!

The location of the hotel is superb. It's just around the corner from Port Vell (which has lovely places to eat, shop and the aquarium), the Cathedral, Las Ramblas and many other sights.The rooms were very clean and reasonably sized, with a lovely big bathroom. We were overlooking a lovely ancient building which was lit up beautifully at night. There room was very good at keeping the sound out.The staff were exceptional and also speak great English. We had a slight problem with our shower-the water was not running away quick enough. We let them know in the morning & it was fixed by the afternoon-very efficient.We flew to Reus airport which was easy enough. There was an indipendent coach transfer waiting (only EUR20 return!!) and took around an hour and a half. I recommend using this service-it's MUCH cheaper than a cab, and just as convienient.I think the hotel is nice enough and would stay there again. It is not a luxury hotel, but is great value for the location and quality.

Hotel in a good position but the placed us in a tiny room with only facilities set up for one person then moved us to a bigger room with no balcony. No tea and coffee facilitied in any of the rooms and reception staff rude

Great location if you want to be close to Las Ramblas. Also there are many very good restaurants within walking distance and close to shopping and sight seeing. Highly recommended, excellent hotel for the price and location. Will stay here again next time.

the hotel is a bit worn out and the rate is too high for that condition. At the same time service was very good, so was the breakfast. And location was excellent.

The hotel was dissapointing. Room was cramped and the bathroom poorly designed, causing water to spray out of the shower and under bathroom door.

good value for your money. The staff also spoke English. They accomodated our requests reasonably well.

This hotel is modern, clean and in a great location for touring Barcelona. We were in our room in Nov 2008,the temperature outside ranged from low 40F to mid 50F, upon arriving to the room the whole fifth floor seemed excessively hot. When we opened the door the room was in excess of 85 degrees F. When we tried to start the air conditioner nothing happened. We called the desk and was informed they don't run A/C after the summer months and all we could do was shut the heat completely, and open the window. The hotel and this room faced a main city street so you can imagine the noise level with the window open. Even after several hours with the window open we could not cool the room down.Over the course of four days we complained several times but were never offered a solution. Our other complaint was the shower, it is set up in a way which makes it virtualy impossible to shower with out flooding the bathroom floor.

The Eurostars Laietana Palace is very well located. It is close to the cathedral and metro and just a few streets over from the main pedestrian street Las Ramblas. The room was not large but it was very clean and quite acceptable. Wireless internet is available but expensive. However, there is free internet access from a PC in the lobby. It's a 5 Euro cab fare from Placa Catalunya (where the airport bus stops).

The staff was very helpful and spoke English. The room was clean and comfortable. The location was not as convenient to shopping and on a noisy street but within walkable distance for healthy individuals. The breakfast meal was not of good quality. Only one computer is available near the bar which I never saw open. All in all a clean, friendly place but no real incentive to stay here again.
