Rooms are pretty old and what would be considered around two stars in the states (because of age and condition) but are fairly comfortable. The location is great but the area in front is undergoing extensive renovations with huge pneumatic hammers and general construction noise at ALL hours (this was not mentioned at all by Orbitz...it was a BIG surprise). This should be finished in a few weeks...call the hotel directly to ask. The staff is better than at many five star hotels (I've stayed at three:)...extremely friendly and will go out of their way for you. The free WIFI is only available in the lobby (the Orbitz add implied it was available in the rooms). Again the location is fantastic with many great restaurants within a two block area. The famous La Biela restaurant is half a block away and open until 0230 AM. There is a Pharmacy next door and a small supermarket around the corner. Overall I recommend it.

Out of the week or so we spent in Buenos Aires, two days were spent at this hotel. It was okay, I would give it about a 3 star rating. However there are other hotels (similarly priced) in the area that are better (i.e. Hotel Emperador).The good things are that it was always clean, our room was gigantic, the staff was friendly (though not all speak English fluently, but most do), and it was located in the heart of everything. There area about a million restuarants within two or three blocks of this hotel, it is right across from the Recoleta Cemetary, and a flea market is held across from the yard every Sunday. Pharmacies, banks, and exchange houses are also right nearby.The only bad thing was that the lobby could use some updating...other than that it was good value for the price.

The Rooms at Etoile are really big and for sure the location is the best in Buenos Aires.
