We stayed at Eterna Roma for five nights and, overall, were delighted and would definitely consider Eterna Roma were we to visit Rome again. It was ideally situated for transport from the airport, as it is 5 minutes walk from Termini train station. This was also handy for the metro to get to the Vatican. All other attractions are within walking distance. The colosseum was only 10-15 mins walk. We had a lovely continental breakfast provided for us each morning. The area is not the nicest area, compared to places like the Spanish Steps, for example, but we felt perfectly safe walking about day and night. The staff were lovely. However, I gave a slightly lower rating on this for two reasons. The first was when we arrived there was no-one at the property (the owners do not live there - all accommodation is for guests). This was slightly worrying, having just arrived and not knowing where we were. It was 10.30pm but I indicated in the booking that we would be arriving at roughly this time. Fortunately I had my mobile and called the owner and she was there within 5 minutes to let us in. The second reason I marked down the service was because after we arrived we unpacked and then went out to get something to eat. While out I received a text (this is now 11pm) to say that we would have to move rooms the following morning. Although not a major hassle as we didn't have alot of things, being there for only 5 nights, it meant we were later leaving than we would have liked the following morning. We had planned to leave early to try to beat the queue at the Vatican. However, we were about 30 mins later leaving which meant we had to queue a bit longer at the Vatican. These weren't major problems just minor irritations, but I felt I should mention them to give a fair review. Overall, we were delighted with the accommodation itself and the proximity to all the attractions. I would recommend Eterna Roma to other travellers without hesitation.

Although the hotel surroundings are not really good, the hotel is clean, room was really spacious and clean, with a good private bathroom. Breakfast is not really “served” until 10am - you have to prepare you own breakfast (they provide milk, butter, bread, coffee, jelly, choco). There were not enough recipients to warm the milk and no microwave, so we had to wash a recipient for us. A really drawback is that they do not accept any credit card and you have to pay in cash for the whole stay immediately when arriving. Also, it was difficult to find it at night. We could not find anyone that gave us accurate information about the address. So if you plan to arrive at night, make sure you have a map. And always ask for Piazza Fanti and not PIAZZA MANFREDO FANTI , as no one seems to know the complete name of this square.

Sehr schöne, saubere Unterkunft in verkehrsgünstiger Lage (3 Minuten zu Fuß zum Bahnhof Termini). Das Personal ist auch sehr zuvorkommend. Wir würden jederzeit wieder dort wohnen wollen.

This place was great. Centrally located. We went walking a lot at night and felt totally safe. We had laundry done down the road, a bit pricey but it was even 13 years ago. The grocery store next door had great prices on beer and wine.

Francesca was a warm and welcoming host. Her friendliness is a large part of why we enjoyed staying at eterna roma so much. The place is close to stazione termini, so it is easily accessible. we would certainly stay there again!
