This was our first trip to Bogota. The hotel is more of a business hotel but it worked out for for us pretty well. The hotel location is right accross the street from Unicentro Mall. The mall has a super market (Exito) that has cheap bottled water and fresh sandwiches if you prefer to avoid expensive hotel bottled water and food. The staff at La Fontana is excellent. Top notch people that really hustle to help you out. The desk clerks speak english as well as room service and operator. The taxi staff was excellent as well. We ordered room service two times. Both times the service arrived quick and hot by a friendly member of their staff. The chicken cordon bleu and onion soup were excellent! The only things we didn't like about the hotel was the lack of service in their coffee shop called Cafe Columbia. I dont know if we were ignored (every time we went) because we weren't wearing suits but it was pretty horrible service. They would serve others before us even if we arrived first and two of the people there wouldn't even get us cup of coffee. They keep telling us "later, later". The hotel staff was 5 star except for the jokers in Cafe Columbia. They were maybe a 2. Get rooms on the inside of the hotel. The streets are very noisy! They give you 25 mins of free internet per day. You can pay to have 24 hour wireless access but be sure that you get a signal in your room before paying for it. It didn't work in our room so we'd have to go to the lobby.

It was not possible to get hot water at the sink.The breakfast was very expensive: more than 15 dollars to get a orange juice, a coffee and one toast !And I won't talk about the dinner prices! I don't mind to pay something expensive, but I have to get something for this money.The only good point is the location
