The hotel was value for money only because we got the 50% off per night. Also, 5 stars for Prague hotels are not international 5 stars quality rather their own standards. Reaslistically, It is more of a 3-4 stars hotel.

The location was great, walking distance to just about anything. Staff was very friendly and helpful. We had a room that was to the front of the hotel, so we had a nice view of the Opera House across the street. Very clean, and the breakfast was wonderful.

The hotel restaurant was overpriced with a limited menu. The downstairs lounge bar looked good but it was never open. The room was very small for an expensive hotel.

The hotel position was excellent, only 2 minutes walk from the top of Wenceslas Square. The rooms were new, clean and fully equipped. Service was attentive and there was plenty of choice for breakfast. Our only gripe would be the cost of drinks at the hotel bar. It is not what I would describe as a luxury hotel but is a good standard, clean and good location for exploring Prague.

The hotel had great character and was well located(near metro and train station). We reserved a room for three people. Two of the beds were fine, the third was a sofa that was a board not a real bed sofa. i would not recommend a three person room. The elevator was not working while we were there and we were on the sixth floor, a bit of a climb. Again overall the hotel was fine except for the third bed situation.

Our stay at the Esplanade was better then i had hoped for! We booked a triple to cut costs travelling with 3 ladies (one was my mother). The spaciousness of the room made up for the fact that we were 3 people living there. I don't think i have ever had a more comfortable bed in a hotel! The room was not overpoweringly luxury, but had a quaint ROYALTY about it. I felt so at home there! The lobby and check-in area is quite small, however; when you include the attached cafe area just aside the check-in, you feel as though you were in a palace tea room. The location is very good. Right across the street from the state opera house and around the corner from the subway and the famous Wenceslas monument. I would recomend the Esplanade Hotel Prague especially for people travelling to Prague by way of train because it is steps away from the train station and convienient for public transportation. (try to avoid taxis in Prague!). I loved my stay at the Esplanade and will surely stay there again during my next trip. The cleanliness and service in this hotel was fantastic!

We visited for a short break with friends. The Esplanade Hotel Prague really suited our purpose. It was centrally placed within easy walking distance of the old town.It was very clean and our rooms all had beautiful and obviously fairly recently refurbished bathrooms. The breakfast was included in the price and we all enjoyed fortifying ourselves for the sightseeing ahead!THe reception staff were helpful eg at arranging tours.I would certainly recommend this hotel.

We think the only ting missing after a long day's walking in Prague is a bath tub - but everyting else is fantastic. Location is fantastic with the subway just around the corner.

I would recommend the Esplanade Hotel Prague to anybody it maybe not be a five star as listed more like a four but i have stayed in prague before and it is a better standard than most. the hotel represents good value for money and was ideally located for the purpose of my stay.the staff are very friendly and polite and most speak very good english and willing to arrange any trips or view and print out timetables for local transport. i will be travelling back to prague in the next month and will look forward to my stay at the esplanade hotel.

Esplanade is a hotel with an outdated infrastructure. My room e.g. had a non working air conditionning system and no WLAN or DSL connection. The hotel is clearly overpriced for Prag. There are nicer and more modern hotel for less money. The service on the other hand is fine. Employees are trying hard to satisfy you, knowing they have to make up for missing investment in infrastructure.
