Great Location, Quiet Area, Good Customer ServiceThe hotel is within walking distance to major places of interest, shopping areas and the metro. We slept well there as the surroundings are quiet. Great value for money including a wide variety of breakfast selection and good customer service. It's a charming hotel except the idea about charging us for usage of the safe in the room. I will recommend this hotel to visitors in Prague!

We loved Prague - and I'm sure in part it was because this hotel was so perfect. They helped us with every request, we were conveniently located for everything we wanted, and at every point in our stay we were satisfied with our experience!

The location was great, walking distance to just about anything. Staff was very friendly and helpful. We had a room that was to the front of the hotel, so we had a nice view of the Opera House across the street. Very clean, and the breakfast was wonderful.

A 19th Century ClassicI stayed here because I thought it was part of the same Group as the Esplanade Hotel in Berlin and I really enjoyed that Hotel. Unfortunatley it isn't in the same group. The contrasts could not be greater this Hotel is right out of the 19th century Lofty Reception rooms with lots of ceiling mouldings corintian columns , gilt finishings and old fashioned furnishings an amazing grand staircase at least to the 1st floor . Service was old fashioned and somewhat stiff and impersonal except for the lady on reception on the 1st evening . My room was quite small and overlooking a central lightwell The furniture was dark and heavy and overpowered the small room Whilst I was there the lift did not work, thugh the engineers were called ou on 3 occassions , a bit of a drag when you are on the 3rd floor

Generally a good hotel in a good situation. But beware booking (and paying) for superior room and not getting it. Also beware £3 for a weak pot of tea for one, -and an extra charge of £3 for another tea bag ! And having quite a discussion. We didn't use the bar or restaurant again, except for breakfast which was excellent in content and service.

The hotel was in an excellent location and all attractions were within walking distance. The staff were helpful. The room was comfortable and the bathroom excellent apart from the lack of a bath.We didn't have a view as we were at the back of the hotel and were woken each morning by the sound of builders, even the sunday morning.I would go back there again.

The Hotel was very good, staff spoke several languages. I was a little uncomfortable by the fact that they requested a copy of my card upon check in as I had confirmed my reservtion via late roomsThere is a substantial aount of graffitti on stand alone structures opposite the hotel, don`t let this effect your first thoughts, the hotel is ideally situated for exploring Prague. The staff were pleasant and Polite and I would visit this hotel again.

Good Location- All sights walking distanceNice breakfast which was inclusiveRooms small but furnished to a high StandardOnly downsideOn other side of back courtyard major development in progress, work starts @ 8 am even on Sundays- bad if you want a lying in - lokks like this will take at least ANOTHER 6 MONTHS- is this the reason for the discounted tariff???I was not affected as we got up fairly early for sightseeing anyway

The hotel was value for money only because we got the 50% off per night. Also, 5 stars for Prague hotels are not international 5 stars quality rather their own standards. Reaslistically, It is more of a 3-4 stars hotel.

Great location close Wenceslas Square & National Museum.Staff were helpful & our room was palatial!Good for a romantic break,or with the family!

The hotel position was excellent, only 2 minutes walk from the top of Wenceslas Square. The rooms were new, clean and fully equipped. Service was attentive and there was plenty of choice for breakfast. Our only gripe would be the cost of drinks at the hotel bar. It is not what I would describe as a luxury hotel but is a good standard, clean and good location for exploring Prague.

We visited for a short break with friends. This hotel really suited our purpose. It was centrally placed within easy walking distance of the old town.It was very clean and our rooms all had beautiful and obviously fairly recently refurbished bathrooms. The breakfast was included in the price and we all enjoyed fortifying ourselves for the sightseeing ahead!THe reception staff were helpful eg at arranging tours.I would certainly recommend this hotel.

I would recommend this hotel to anybody it maybe not be a five star as listed more like a four but i have stayed in prague before and it is a better standard than most. the hotel represents good value for money and was ideally located for the purpose of my stay.the staff are very friendly and polite and most speak very good english and willing to arrange any trips or view and print out timetables for local transport. i will be travelling back to prague in the next month and will look forward to my stay at the esplanade hotel.
