Avoid last floor in summer timeDuring our stay in London we had a triple room at the 4th and last floor of the hotel where there was such a hot that was almost impossible to sleep. We also found this hotel very well below the expectations also in view of the price paid. the triple room was small, the bathroom was about 75 cm by 2,60 m without window and the wardrobe was tiny for a triple room. We would suggest other visitors to chose another very close hotel called base2stay, where rooms are fitted with air conditioning and much better accommodation will be provided at a lower rate. all the best

The hotel is a series of old row houses now linked to form a hotel. The location is fantastic. I flew into Heathrow, took the Underground to Earl's Court, walked out the Glouster Road exit and one block to the hotel. From this location I could get anywhere in London with my Travel Pass. Price was excellent and rooms were clean and neat. Staff was helpful. At this price you must know that you will be booked into the garret rooms that were part of the servants quarters on the fourth floor. Larger rooms shown on the website are the family rooms on the lower floors. After six nights I grew tired of the cramped space but the price was too good to pass up. The working class neighborhood is safe and there are many reasonably priced restaurants. The hotel restaurant appears to be expensive but I found the a la cart menu was a bargain. I could get a very generous serving of scrambled eggs, toast, and jam for a very reasonable price. Unlike the states tipping is not the norm. The cleaning staff refused my attempt to tip them. I did tip for help with bags or other special services. A staff member helped me get my bags to the Earl's Court Station and was tipped accordingly.

Good location in London - very clean and at the right price.

Good location near Earl's Court Road and tube station. Easy to get too from M4. We came at the end of a week in the country and still had the car. There are no car parks in the area and hotel charges $50 per night to park in their 4 stall lot. Street parking free after 6:30. Room is small with updated bath. No airconditioning and street noise was bad on Sat. until 2AM.

Hotel has a very modern reception area and restaurant yet the decor in the rooms is a little dated. The room was immaculately clean and housekeeping were very good. All staff were friendly.Really good location just 2 mins walk from Earls Court tube and surrounded by many restaurants. I would definately stay here again if I needed to stay in that area of London. I deal if you are attending something at Earls Court as its about a 15-20 min walk away.

I switched to this hotel from Days Hotel London North because Days was way to far out and we needed to do everything on foot or by public transportation. This was an easy walk from Earl's Court tube station and the directions on the website were spot on. There are a few extra doors before the main one, which was slightly confusing, but no big deal. The rooms were tiny- probably only a foot between the end of the bed and wall, but it wasn't too bad. I should say that this was for two fairly small people. The double bed is two beds abutting, which was good for us since we each got our own bed. There isn't a full bath, just a shower. There is a chain on the door for security but they tend to leave the windows open (for ventilation- that's another thing, the room tends to be quite warm if the window isn't open). That said, you always leave your key at the desk when you go out at show them a green slip that proves you're guest to get back in, so I felt fairly secure. The desk is manned 24hr/day The staff was somewhat incompetent and not very warm. Not all of them mind you, one lady was able to help get a cab for a very early morning check out. They want you to pay for the internet, but you can usually find a way around this. There was this poor guest who had been pickpocketed (cash and cards) (and it was a Bank Holiday weekend) and the staff was completely unhelpful to him. There are some good places to eat in the area (for cheap). Bench'o (or some such thing) has great breakfasts for a really good price (better than the hotel) and there is a Wagamama's. It was a great place for going to see the sights.

The hotel has gone through renovations, for the money it was very nice. Location was excellent as far as the Tubes. Everyone was very friendly. We had a group of 4, the room was a little small for american standards, but was very clean. We did not spend much time in our room, but it was all we needed.

Not a bad place!!Couldn't fault the hotel really, Staff were friendly, room was ok and food was available. But hey you are in London so you go out for food. But for 20 quid more, you can have the wow factor.

A few of the staff were friendly and approachable but more than a few were not friendly at all. Aside from this, the rooms were clean, the location was on a quiet street, and we had a pleasant stay for the most part.

"Stayed here on business, inexpensive and close to the tube stop. The service was below average, the hotel only had one ironing board and informed me that since someone else had it, I would have to iron on the bed. The room was dirty, the bathroom and bathtub was grimy, it was the worst room I have stayed in."

The room was not big, and the TV set was small and old

We have traveled extensively throughout Europe and beyond and we have never experienced living a week in such a small room and bathroom. The hotel was beautiful on the outside and in the lobby. The location was absolutely perfect. Earl's Court station is a short distance from the front door. However, the room was so extraordinarily small and the bathroom was so small that if you are more than 30 pounds overweight you would not be able to use the sink and close the door at the same time. Two people could not walk together in the room around the beds, etc. The hairdryer only stayed on for 3 seconds before cutting off and needing time to recover before starting up again. The room was clean and we survived the small quarters. If you could get a room like the room pictured online, then it would be a super deal!

"Stayed there 3 times. Will stay again. No frills hotel, courteous staff. No A/C; but (limited inventory of) fans available on request. Great/convenient location. Excellent hotel if you just want a clean safe place to sleep."

I booked a double room but put in a twin room so it defeated the purpose and the increase in room price was not acceptable. Reception staff tried to include a credit card charge and eventually removed the cc charge after discussion because it was not stated when booking.

The buildings were unique, and therefore, every little detail, nook, and cranny was a nice surprise. I loved the balcony, in particular. The bed was so comfortable! And, the feather comforter was so warm! There were lots of take-away Indian restaurants in the neighborhood, and it was in easy walking distance of the subway. The bar was nice & friendly, but the room service food was either great or so-so. One night I rec'd a straight-from-the-refrigerator-cold pizza. The staff were all friendly!

The hotel location is good but other than that there is no value for your dollar. NO Air Conditioning and there is constant construction and painting going on so you have the smell of the paint in the heat.

Room small and fixtures bodged together a little. Good price for location though. 20 minutes walk to Royal Albert Hall. Construction work in neighbouring bathroom at 08:15 Monday morning not at all considerate of hotel hence will not return. Avoid ground floor room 154.

I stayed at this hotel for 6 nights. This place is in a great location; just 1 min walk to Earls Court tube station. You can go anywhere from there. I also went from there to the Heathrow Airport on my way back. I also just walked from the hotel to Freddie Mercury's house on Garden Lodge :). There are also many different places to eat around. The room was a little small for a big guy like me. But, hey... there are a lot of interesting things to see there. You won't spend a lot of time in the room. I will definetely go there when I visit London again.

"If you are traveling alone or on a tight budget and need a safe place to stay, this hotel is great. It's in a good location just 3 minutes from Earl's Court tube station. I wouldn't stay here with my spouse or children, though. The rooms are very tiny. The staff were extremely friendly and the entire place is being remodeled. It was a bit noisy at night, both from the street and from people thoughout the halls. Given the price, it's much better than some places I've stayed in London for similar prices. I would stay here again if I were alone."

what a shame they didn't think to spend some of the money that went into the lobby, restaurant and bar in to decorating the rooms. When I stay in a hotel in London the in house restaurant is always a bonus. I need a good room.
