It was so terrible I don't even know where to begin!! The moment we got there, we were treated like criminals. Two out of five of our friends originally had a reservation here. Three of us had a reservation elsewhere and we were told our room wouldn't be ready for another few hours. We figured we would wait at this hotel until it was ready. The staff treated us like we were trying to put one over on them. They followed us around and finally dragged us to the counter. We tried to explain our situation, but they weren't hearing it. We explained our situation to the woman at the counter and she understood and said they would call us a cab when it was ready. Very nice of her. We tried to wait and relax by the pool and they wanted to charge us $300 pesos a person to hang out since we weren't staying there. We felt that was absolutely uncalled for...robbery!! We were a group of five staying in separate hotels. We decided to stay in one hotel, this hotel, since our friends booked through an online site and couldn't get refunded. We didn't want to keep running into problems if we wanted to hangout at one another's hotels. The young man who booked us was nice and helped cancel our other room at the other hotel. Here's were it gets REALLY BAD. Both rooms we booked didn't have working air conditioning. Both rooms were switched out for two more rooms with the same problem. One room had a toilet that was leaking onto the bathroom floor. Another room had their hallway flooded with water. We had dinner reservations for 9:30 and my roommate needed to iron her shirt. It took a great effort to find an outlet in the room. We decided to unplug the lamp and use its outlet. When we looked behind the nightstand, we were SHOCKED at what we found. The outlet was hanging on to dear life by its wires. Everything was exposed. We did not iron!! While we got ready to go to dinner the electricity went out!!!!! We stumbled around in the dark trying to put on our clothes for 45 minutes. We hoped that when we returned it would be working. We were sooo late for our reservations but they still took us. When we returned, we had electricity, no air conditioning, and to our surprise NO RUNNING WATER!!!!! This kind of stuff only happens in the movies!! This was still our first night so we decided to pack our bags and go to another hotel. When we went downstairs, the night manager was of no help and had no remorse for what we had experience. I swear this man didn't even have facial expessions. He refused to return our money. He refused to at least offer half off our rate. He said all he could do was give us 20% off. We asked to speak to someone who could make executive decisions, and he said he was it. We asked who his boss was and he refused to tell us. We asked for an 800 number or anything that could help us resolve our issue, and again he refused. He said he didn't have that information. We asked if he could look it up, and he told us that WE COULD LOOK IT UP. He was soooo rude. We had only been there 7 or so hours and it was hell. We took our loss and aggressively looked for another hotel. While the service at Emporio was not the Plaza's responsiblity, we were so grateful the Plaza tried to make up for it. From then on the rest of the trip was a blast. I will never, ever stay here again. This is the first time that I have written a review, but I felt obligated to do so. I couldn't bear the thought of someone booking here without knowing the truth about the service, staff and condition of the hotel. Please, please think twice before staying here.

we tried to enjoy our memorial weekend but no luck! Do not go to beach at all ,cause you can not relax every minute someone come by you and try to sell something. Beach is out ! So Swimming pool is your only option ! Honestly i did not go to Acapulco to spend my vacation in the pool,cause i have one in my house. You better speak Spanish because staff doesnt speak English or they don't want to.

This was the second hotel we went to after problems at another one. This hotel was beautiful. The rooms were really nice and the view is pretty. The bed was the most comfortable bed I ever slept in! I wrote the name down! The room was not as clean as it could have been but I have seen worse. The Adult pool was a really nice feature! Quiet! The bar was lacking service but once you called them over they were very friendly. The other pool had a nice slide! The ice was even bagged for you!! Everything was very nice in this hotel except they are not really bilingual. Some are but most are not. There is a nice mall across the street and a conveinence store for water. Its in a nice location! Very quiet and peaceful.

Hotel is somewhat dated but clean and the grounds are beautiful. Comfy bed with decent linnens, however, both the beach and bath towels need to be replaced-why would you provide white beach towels? The room had a kitchenette but did not include a stove. We knew this in advance so it wasn't a problem. The view from the room was fantastic and the location is good. The adult pool is very quiet and private. For some reason the swim up bar is in the kid pool-not a big deal to us. Overall attentive and friendly service. Our safe didn't work and they sent someone up to fix it. I still couldn't get it to work afterwards. My biggest complaint was that you had to pay to sit on the beach...I found that completely outrageous. Otherwise...the hotel was fine and I would recommend to anyone traveling to Acapulco. Having said that...of the places I have been in Mexico (Puerto Vallarta, Mazatlan, Ixtapa...etc.)this was my least favorite destination in Mexico. Very busy and we were told it was not safe to be on the beach at night which is one of my favorite things. My husband was "bumped" into numerous times and we were called "Gringo's." I believe the bulk of their tourism is out of Mexico City.

"The hotel is OK but the food is hit or miss. Also, the front desk staff is not exactly flexible or well-informed regarding any all-inclusive deals. You CANNOT add on any all inclusive-packages AT the hotel."

Arrived at hotel man at the counter put a band around my wrist and my friend's he said that it indicated it was for drinks at the pool and lounge that is all. Unaware of hotel policy I agreed three days later I was called to the desk cause a "mistake was made". Women at counter cut off my wrist band and pulled out the receipts I signed for. The receipts that I signed for had a total for money owed of zero pesos. She wrote in prices for the drinks and said that I signed the receipts and I must pay." I signed for zero" I pleaded she wanted none of it, the hotel is running a scam beware they took me for a ride they will try to scam you too.

"Do not waste your time or money on the all inclusive program. They do not even allow you to eat their sea food. During lunch, you can eat some crappy buffet or get a hamburger from the bar. They do not serve you from the beach, they only allow you to drink Corona Beer, no other brand, and after six pm, you have to go inside to a bar to get any drink rather than from the pool bars. Food was no good anyway, much cheaper to just spend it on the good local resturaunts, which were fabulous."

They where remodeling one of the pools so it and the restaurant it encircles were both closed. The ?Sushi Bar? was just a bar, no food of any kind. The Sunset lounge was closed for private parties the whole tine we where there. The pool up top where the Sunset lounge is located is designated only for private rental all the time. Really sucked paying for an all inclusive package to find out only one of the four restaurants they are suppose to have was actually open for general guests. The room smelled musty. However it did not aggravate my allergies that tend to be severe around mold so I know the room was clean. The accommodations, was comfortable. The staff was very pleasant. BIG PROBLEM: They do not accept traveler?s checks!!!! And will not cash them for you. So if you plan to go out on a Sunday evening, when all the banks and money exchanges are closed make sure you cash your checks somewhere else. We had to walk down the street to ?Clarion Suits? to get some cashed to be able to go out to dinner since all the hotels restaurants where closed. Unlike some we did not have any trouble with the staff not speaking english. They where polite and friendly.

Worst night spent in Acapulco. The beds were hard the AC could not be regulated so either freeze or turn off. It took forever to check out. I will never step foot in that hotel again

i liked this hotel very much. very good location, hotel is very clean, all day long you can see hotel staff cleaning, cleaning, cleaning.everybody very freandly.room was big with kitchenett.beatifull view from balcony. little bit borring-no entertanment at all.
