Great Hotel great location. Have been staying at this hotel for a couple years whenever Im in Vancouver. Staff is friendly rooms are clean though they are a little on the small side. Would recomend this hotel to anyone.

Oly the views. Room furniture old, not cozy, bar needs new seats (too worn out) and higher for better view. It is loosing its potential. Could be better is renovated.

Location is everything and this hotel is close to Stanley park and the Marina which is beautiful

Would be better further if fridge is available.

It felt like the plumbing from the room next door went through our headboard. Combine that with 50 JAL flight attendants getting up between 4 and 6 am and you won't get a good nights sleep.

The Empire Landmark Hotel is really not a bad hotel for the price. The lobby is updated and looks relatively chic. The rooms are a tad small and the balconies are more like step-outs, however the views are spectacular. I had a room with an unobstructed mountain view. The location isn't bad, but it is a good walk (4 blocks at least) to the hustle and bustle of Robson St. If you plan to party, plan to cab it! Overall, I would stay here again.

No clock in room, hard bed, small and claustaphobic and uncomfortable. I will never stay there again!

First the good things about this hotel- location, location, location. Well, that's one thing, I know. The hotel is centrally located and is within walking distance of most of downtown Vancouver and Stanley Park. If you've been to a Motel 6 or a Quality 8 Motel, then you are already familiar with the room amenities of this hotel. This is one of the biggest hotels in Vancouver in terms of number of rooms and it has- I'm not making this up- one ice machine (actually two, but they are together on the 22 floor). This is all the more astonishing since the rooms don't have little refrigerators (our room didn't). The televisions are old-fashioned, small screens at belly button level on a table. At least they are smart enough to know they don't need to bolt them down- who would steal them? The towels are hanging in the shower stall- an indication of how small the bathrooms are. The hotel is amazing noisy- both street noises and internal plumbing noises. Giving this hotel a three star rating is a stretch- I would give it a two star rating.

Great location, walking distance to Robson St and Stanley Park. First impressions, from the parking deck, are pretty terrible. The lobby is nice. Nice, but aging, hotel in a great part of town. Rooms are smallish and parking is not complimentary.

I was sailing the next day on a cruise so I just wanted a good place to sleep. The hotel provided good value in a convenientlocation. Obviously, the room has some age on it but it was decently maintained. The concierge/desk person was extremely knowledgeable about in town locations. This would be a serviceable option for anyone not seeking a luxury experiience. Security seemed adequate, elevator service was excellent. The buffet breakfast on Sunday morning was well below average but the revolving setting was good.

Good location to attractions and shops and restuarants. It was a little more run down than I expected for an upsale hotel put the price was right. It is a good stay for a get away or business. Not too fancy but the price was right for a downtown room.

Room was comfortable, clean, and roomy. Not luxury furnishing, but pleasant. Hotel is very convenient to downtown activities and entertainment. Hotel exterior could use a little sprucing up. Balcony was nice to have, but was adjoined to balcony for room next door, so security could be an issue if the windows were unlocked. Checkin was slow but hotel staff was pleasant. Relatively reasonable rates for downtown location. I would stay there again.

Nice room with a good price. Internet connections were $15 a day. This is a nice, higher end hotel in a fair location. It will fill the bill nicely if you are willing to walk 10 minutes to get to the heart of downtown or the Westin bay shore convention spaces. The small ethnic restaurants that line the streets in the area offer great food at reasonable prices if you want to avoid the higher end eateries of downtown. Internet access is expensive for a higher end hotel (why is it that super 8 has wireless for free but a three star hotel charges $15 a day?). The blend coffee shop two blocks away offers free internet and great baked goods.

Check-in was smooth, but the front desk was very slow the rest of the time. Staff was generally pleasant. Room was clean & roomy - no complaints, but nothing special. The beds were horrible! We woke up with back pain and stiffness every day. View from the 16th floor was a back alley and the tops of nearby buildings. View from the Cloud 9 restaurant was not at all spectacular (anywhere withuin 360 degrees)! Location is OK - on one end of Robson, easy to walk to shop & eat, and on the tour bus routes. The Big Bus tour guy tries to sell you a tour every time you come or go, which gets old fast. Overall, it was not bad, but we chose this hotel for the views and location. There are better views closer to the waterfront, and it's a block or two from the heart of Robson. You can find better views and location for around the same cost elsewhere. If all you care about is a place to sleep, it's fine. Go somewhere else if you want more than that.

Fantastic location and awesome views! Expensive considering not much was included- only given two towels and no fridge or microwave. My overall experience at the empire landmark was excellent! Our room was on the 18th floor and gave us views of the mountains, English bay, and Stanley park and rob son street. The room was a bit small but very cozy for a romantic vacation. One negative- at about 5is on our last night there the bathroom ceiling started to leak. We put a towel in the sink so that the dripping didn't keep us up but when we woke up in the morning half the floor was soaking wet. Because this is an older hotel (I think 30 years or so) flooding and plumbing problems seem to be a regular occurrence (another couple we were vacationing with had the same problem their first night there). The empire is in perfect position- close to Stanley park and the aquarium, next to tons of shopping and a short drive to all other popular Vancouver attractions. Our favorite restaurant was "indent flavors" 1256 rob son street- just 2 blocks from the empire. We ate there two nights! It's clean, sleek and solos yummy!

The hotel was in a great location right downtown on the shopping district of Robson Street. Tour buses stopped right in front. Great view from the 30th floor. Room was small but clean with a balcony and great views of the city and bay. There were long lines in the lobby for checking-in. Waited 45 minutes for a room. I'd stay here again.

Cheap parking. Location, cleanliness, and unfriendly staff. Not good! The staff was finally friendly when we were checking out!

"Check-in was very slow but the receptionist tried to accommodate our requests. We were given a room on the high floor with a view of Stanley Park & the snow capped mountains along the coast. Elevators were small but fast - maybe the Hotel was not full at the time. Overall, we were very happy with our stay with the Hotel."

"Plus: Hotel is quite close to many attactions & restaurant. However, cleanliness isnt quite measured up to our standard. needs more maintainance improvement. not that is dirty, it's just some old wallpaper and old furnitures needs maintainance"
