The Emeraude Hotel Louvre Montana Paris is terrible. I was there with my wife on our honeymoon and if we hadn't prepaid for the entire stay we would have left immediately. It had the oldest one person elevator in the city. I mean literally one person. They had one room adjacent to reception which serves as the breakfast room, lunch room, dinner, and their so called 24 hour bar. The decor of the room was not even close to what they show in the pics. Not only did it look like they hadn't redecorated since we chased the Germans out, but it stunk. The only thing modern at all about this hotel was the glass sliding doors at the entrance. Very misleading. We spent almost * per night and would rather have camped on the park bench across the street. The staff was helpful and the location was nice. The rest stinks!!!

Superb location, large rooms and bathrooms, cold A/C, quiet at night. Close to major museums, gardens, and Metro, we didn't need car or taxi, many restaurants, a supermarket and self laundry within easy walk. Bread and pastry shop 1/2 block away. Hated to leave. Highly recommended

First day it was the over booking. Excuse was ""room had a technical problem"" . Sent to hotel cross to road for one night. Easter weekend waitress for breakfast was a horror story. Rooms are small but clean. Location is great. Close to all."

For a hotel in Paris our room very spacious. The lift was the smallest lift I have ever seen and we had to send the bags on their own as we couldn't fit with the bag. Staff was friendly and could speak english which was great. Great location near the Louvre and 10 minute walk to Chams-Ellise.

Excellent location, very central. Walking distance to alot of places and the Metro is nearby. Rooms are small but sufficient, and quiet, although the lighting is poor, very dark in room. Safe was broken. Breakfast very good. Would recommend.

DISGUSTING hotel. The lobby was nice; the room was utterly, absolutely disgusting. It had a lingering smell, the ac NEVER worked properly, so we'd have to leave the windows open, which meant cigarette smell wafting in at all hours, hearing the neighbors have very loud sex, and bugs flying into the room. The bathroom is huge though - almost as big as the room. But the comforter/carpets/furniture were so dated & gross, I didn't want to touch anything in the place, even the bathroom. Basically you're just paying for location. The hotel staff was the worst I've ever encountered. They were clueless, rude, most hardly spoke english, etc. They were so unhelpful that it was almost mind-boggling. The location is good, if you don't mind staying in a total dive.

My boyfriend and I visited Paris for our anniversary. We were both impressed by the hotel. The room was huge and we could see the Tuilleries from our window, which was lovely. Each member of staff that we encountered was incredibly friendly and their English was very good, although we did try and mainly speak French to them! They seemed to appreciate that!! We didn't have breakfast in the hotel as there are so many places nearby - go to Angelina's! The Louvre Montana was in a perfect location and I have already recommended it to friends and family!

Excellent service -- above and beyond the expected. Location is unbeatable... centrally located, and if this is your first trip to Paris -- perfect. Close to Louvre, metro, yellow tram (drop off at all major points). Restaurants all around. The staff speaks perfect English, if that is a concern. I would stay again just because of the staff! Keep in mind that breakfast is not included in price-- and we just ended up eating in local places (omelettes, standard breakfast) elsewhere at better prices. Not a big deal. A double room (Two twins)was very large, by European standards.

Excellent location. The Emeraude Hotel Louvre Montana Paris is ideal for a short break as it is well located and well priced. We only stayed 2 nights and were not in that much but it was perfectly adequate for our needs.

Good hotel in great area. The metro stop is about a 5 minute walk and you are literally across the street from the Louvre. It is a pretty quiet hotel on a side street but many good cafes, stores all around. Also in the room is a mini-ref. and a kettle for making tea. If one prefers coffee bring your own. My only complaint is that the a/c did not work as well as we would have liked. The mgmt said they would check it after we left. We were in room 22 and it was spacious for 3 adults with a tiny balcony facing the street. We were pleasantly surprised! Beware-the hotel called a taxi to take us to CDG Airport as we had a lot of luggage- but the meter was started as soon as the taxi left dispatch-- before they ever pick you up. The driver would not write down the "extra" charge when he gave us a receipt. We called the hotel and complained and they said that it is standard and is arbitrary what they add on. The police also told us at airport that the practice is legal. Maybe that is something that needs to be verified before one arranges a taxi pick-up so there are no surprises. Other than that-I would definitely stay at the Emeraude Hotel Louvre Montana Paris again even if I was traveling alone. I felt that safe. We did not eat breakfast at the hotel-it is rather pricey and there are wonderful bakeries minutes away.
