What are your breakfast options?

For breakfast, it depends on the time of year and how many people we have staying with us. If the lodge is quite busy, we will have the option of a buffet or ordering off the menu. When the lodge is not as busy guests, order off the menu only. Breakfast is served from 8:00am-10:00am in the winter and 7:00am-11:00am in the summer seasons.

What transport is available to get around?

Emerald Lake is about 10 kilometers off the TransCanada Highway in Yoho National Park. We do not have any transportation to places such as the small town of Field or to Lake Louise. Our guests have their own vehicles or they rent vehicles when they arrive at the airport.

The town of Field is very small and has only one corner store and a restaurant in a hotel. Lake Louise is the next biggest town and then Banff or Golden (going west). However, you would have to have your own transportation for these places.

What can I do nearby?

Depending on when you come the attractions vary: in winter we have cross country trails and snowshoe trails that start from the lodge and go around the lake or along the river. In Lake Louise and Canmore there is dog sledding. There is snowmobiling in Golden and Canmore as well.

In summer there are many hiking trails around the lodge area that take anywhere from 1 hour to 7 hours. Many people like to take the Burgess Shale-guided hike with Parks Canada as well. This is a full day hike and is managed and guided by trained Parks Canada employees.

Do you have internet?

We do not have internet in the guest rooms, however, there is free wireless internet in the lodge and also we have a guest computer you can use.

Do you provide parking?

We have an overnight parking lot.
