Set in the very heart of the city, the Emerald Hotel is Gisborne’s only full service hotel with Ala carte and buffet restaurant with cocktail bar, 24 hour room service, a purpose built conference centre and a beauty day spa.

This unique 4 Star Plus style hotel is situated right in the heart of Gisborne"s CBD at the conjunction of the three rivers, the Waimata, the Taruheru and the Turanganui.

The Emerald Hotel & Conference Centre Gisborne has 48 Suites all fully air-conditioned and equipped with Sky TV, clock radio, desk, mini bar, tea and coffee making facilities, direct dial telephone, iron and ironing board and hair dryers. ROOM DETAILS:
Studio Suite (6): Luxuriously furbished, King size bed, ensuite with either shower over bath or shower only.

Executive Suite (42): These spacious one Bedroom Suites (approximately 45 m3) are mostly located around the pool courtyard on the first and second level. River view rooms also available. These rooms contain one splittable King size bed in the bedroom with single, twin and double variations in the lounge room also available for multiple occupancy, ensuite with shower over bath or shower only.

All Executive Suites can be transformed into Twin Executive Suites and the opposite is possible as well. The hotel also has four rooms set up for wheel chair access.

Secure car parking is available.

Our Restaurant and Bar is on the ground floor overlooking the pool courtyard. The Grill Room features a variety of steak options and Friday and Saturday night seafood buffet option. Seats up to 100 guests and is open for breakfast and dinner.

What are your breakfast options?: We have a full cooked buffet breakfast available at the hotel restaurant The Grill Room which is available from 7:00 am to 9:00 am Monday – Friday and 7:30 am to 9:30 am Saturday and Sunday. The cost of this is $24.00 per person or $18.00 per person for our in-house guests.
What transport is available to get around?: You would need a car to get to the coast beaches but the town beach and movie theatre are all within walking distance of the hotel.
What can I do nearby?: Gisborne has many fantastic beaches; the town beaches are within walking distance; this would take around 15-20 minutes, while the coast beaches are no more than a 10 minute drive away. The hotel is located right on the main street of Gisborne which makes shopping easily accessible along with the local movie theatre which is a block away.
Do you have internet?: We have broadband internet access in our rooms which is free of charge.
Do you provide parking?: We have car parking available at the hotel for our in-house guests; this is undercover secure parking free of charge.
