All in all the experiance was pretty good. I did not have a balcony, which I am used to having. But it wasn't so bad. It was pretty close to the beach, but to get to the public beach you needed to dirve or walk a long while. It was near the Gulfarium, which was excellent and we spent most of Saturday there. What mostly made the visit bad was I was on the 5th floor, and the elevator went out 2 of the 3 days I was there. The day I checked out, I had to drag my luggage down 5 flights of stairs. It wasn't so cleen outside either. Oh yea, the pool is extreamly small. My above ground at home was almost as large as this pool.

Right next to Convention Center. Staff very friendly and helpful. Noisy. You can hear people talking in hall. Curb in the middle of curb cut is hard to see.

For the money the hotel was great! The walls are kind of thin, The staff and the breakfast bar were terrific!

This was probably the best deal in Fort Walton Beach. We were about a two-minute drive away from a parking lot by a gorgeous beach, and the price was a lot less than "beachfront" hotels. Many other good attractions were a short distance away. The only thing slightly wrong with the room was the locked safe, which was supposed to be open (not a problem, since we didn't need it anyway). The beds were comfortable; the TV worked well; the pool was fun for the kids (and parents :-), and there was a good selection of food for the free breakfast. If we can go back to Fort Walton Beach, which I hope we can do within a year or two, I would book there again in a heartbeat.

Super access to everything, especially the beaches and the pier for not being on the beach. We plan to do it again next year at the same place, we even want the same room! The view was gorgeous! The staff was excellent, helpful and friendly.

Close to attractions by much more expensive hotels. Entrance to hotel was awkward.

We chose this hotel because of all of the GREAT reviews on the travel website(The employees must have written them). First we had a late check in, when we got to the hotel about 1:30 am; Beware, the hotel does not look to be the most secure hotel that I have stayed in. Our reservations were finally found, we were given our key to our room. We get to the room, open the door and lo and behold, there's a guest already in the room, naked lying across the bed. He did not move when he heard the door open (Can you say Security??) We go back to the front desk discover the room we requested was for a king bed, they had us down for a standard two bed. To make a long story short, there were no other rooms available in the area; we ended up staying at this place, in a standard smoking room. BEWARE OF EXCELLENT REVIEWS

This hotel was in a decent location. A bit of a walk even though they said walking distance and across the street from the beach. Bad rain storm while we were there. Rain came in around the window and thru the air conditioner. Took several complaints to be moved. Employees were very nice. Continental breakfast was good.

Location, pool, hot tub; friendly staff. The location and the overall layout of the hotel made it easy for me to enjoy quality time with the kids.

After two days I wanted to adopt the owner/manager as a brother and marry the housekeeping staff.

Much exceeded our expectations!! Front desk extremely friendly and helpful. The room was very clean and nicely decorated. The bathroom was extremely nice, the sink was large and the shower was clean (not your typical hotel shower!!) Free breakfast in the morning was wonderful- belguim waffles!!! Right across the street from the beach- we got to the beach every morning by 9 and got the best spot !! Excellent hotel for families- a great bargain.

a small, privately owned inn; friendly staff; pretty clean; free wireless internet and free continental breakfast; very close to beaches; ideal for an economic family vacation; no place for a group meeting except a small lobby area.

Overall description of hotel from web site was correct. Staff was friendly and helpful. We were there for the Mullet Festival and the beach, so the location was good for the price.

My boyfriend and I just returned from a 3-night stay at The Emerald Coast Inn and Suites. I was a little hesitant about staying there after reading some of the negative reviews. We arrived, and it was way above our expectations. We were in a non-smoking jacuzzi suite with a king size bed. It was amazing! The microwave and fridge were nice extras that we didn't really think about when booking the room. We drove to the beach because it was an area that m,y boyfriend had been to before. It was relatively close to all popular restaurants and shops. The air conditioner did NOT make noise. Everything was absolutely amazing. We WILL stay there again!

Everything was fine, except the room felt very damp. But that is to be expected when you are across the street from the ocean. We enjoyed the pool and breakfast. The beds were very comfortable and the pillows were big and fluffy. It was a good experience.

Close to the most beautiful beaches in the USA! Friendly and helpful staff, clean room. Breakfast was mostly Carbs, more fruit would have been nice.

This was an excellent hotel. Being one of the cheaper hotels in the area, I didn't expect very much, but I was definitely surprised and pleased. The breakfast was wonderful - belgium waffles. The beds were comfortable - with THREE pillows. The staff was always nice, cordial, and eager to help and answer any questions that we had. My only complaint was that there really was no set time of day when housekeeping came, which was anywhere between 9:00 and 1:30 all week. The beach is right across the street, though you have to walk down the road and use the crosswalk: 98 is a VERY busy road. That being said, once you get across the street, everything is within walking distance. Will definitely be staying again.

The checkin was quick and friendly. The room had very fast wifi connection, comfortable bed, clean facilities, overall a classier experience than most hotel chins. The front desk staff easily suggested a nearby sports bar, and there were other bars in the area since it is across from the convention center.

This was a great place to stay. Close to everything. 1 or 2 minute drive from places to eat and visit the beach. We would go back again. :)
