The nightly rate was low enough ($80/night CAD), however the front desk clerk yelled at me at check-in because Orbitz offered me the "travel agent rate" and I am not a travel agent...also, while I was warned by the website that renovations were underway, I had no idea that meant EVERY room on the other side of the hallway from mine was under construction! I would have at least thought, ideally, an entire floor would be closed for constuction (i.e., no construction near guest rooms/floors)...anyway, this will probably be a very nice property once all of the renovations are complete, but at a much higher rate (an elevator ad marketed "newly renovated luxury rooms" starting at $115/night, or $35/night higher than the $80 travel agent rate I received for one of the outdated rooms)...

The walk in closet. The bathroom - no bathtub! This was an appalling experience. I was not informed that the hotel was under renovations - despite having spoken to the staff on the phone twice prior to arrival. I have never been in a hotel in such disrepair. There was a sign requiring hard hats and steel toed boots leading up to our room. Totally disturbing. It was easily the worst experience I have ever had in a hotel and I travel a lot!

The hotel is well located, just off the main hwy 417 on the west side of Ottawa, but without any traffic noise in the rooms. The hotel is budget all the way. Tiny elevators two people and suitcases can barely fit in, dingy hallways, and a cramped bathroom in need of a make-over. In the morning we realized there we no bath towels! I took some from the maid's cart in the hall. After staying at many Embassy Suites hotels in the US, I expected more. Don't be surprised like I was.

No mini fridge, very small tv and no conteniental breakfast offer, restaurant not sufficiently staffed for breakfast rush.

Good location. Customers should not be put on a floor that is in the process of remodeling. Aside from the noise it was hazardous getting to the room and leaving the next day. With no AC the window had to be open which let in outside construction noise at 5:30 am and nothing to muffle inside construction noise at 7:30 am.

The hotel was pretty far from the main downtown area, but the Ottawa transit system was pretty close and convenient. Overall, the hotel wasn't all that great. The elevators were small, and couldn't fit more than 4 people. The hallways and the room were filled with the smell of cigarette smoke, and the walls are extremely thin. Throughout the night, I heard conversations happening from the neighbors through the bathroom wall. (They were talking in their normal indoor voice) In the end the experience was unpleasant, and I would not return unless its absolutely necessary.

Overall, the motel was satisfactory. I stayed on a business trip and it was adequate for my needs. Not a real picky person and this hotel had all my needs.

The hotel was under cons ruction. I have stayed at this hotel before and it was in need of an update then. It is currently undergoing an update and is under construction making the stay slightly inconvenient. I look forward to visiting it upon its completion.

It was under remodeling, unfinished areas. Great value but definately worn and used. A remodeling and changing of the carpets / wall paper will make a huge difference.

Nothing. Poor beds, bath tub was in very poor shape. Iwould not use this hotel again.

Nothing. The room was very dirty.

The only good thing about the hotel was the location. Where shall I start. Filthy carpet, gum on carpet and ceiling, bathtub falling apart and the corridors smelt. The management was impersonal, the people at the attached restaurant wererude and cranky. The room was filthy, pink gum on the ceiling and carpet, exposed wiring from the light switch just horrible, the bathtub was falling apart, cleaning staff seemed friendly though.

The front desk service was good. The hotel was at least 20 minutes from the airport which was very inconvenient for an early morning departure; it was chosen on the basis that it was close to the airport; this in turn resulted in a huge cab fee to get to and from the airport.

Good location for my purposes (visiting relatives). Small TV; hard to get comfortable setting on room temperature; shower curtain billowed inwards; towels too far from shower. An adequate place to sleep, but not a place I would choose to spend waking hours. It's not dirty or dangerous or noisy or anything else bad; it just didn't seem to have any particular positive points.
