We arrived at 2:00pm, check in is 3pm but we had 2 small children who needed a nap. At most hotels this is not an unusual request to check in a little early. Out name was put on a list and we waited in the hotel lobby for almost 45 mins before I finally went up again and asked and they called housekeeping and got us a room. I asked when checking in if they could please bring up a crib as soon as possible. It took about an hour to get it after 2 more calls to the front desk and the crib they brought was broken on one side. The manager's reception served stale tortilla chips and salsa and goldfish. Drinks were ok. Breakfast was insane......I guess they were short staffed because the set-up for the non-cooked to order hot items wasn't even opened until almost an hour and a half into breakfast. So EVERYONE had to wait in the very long made to order line. Having to wait in a line for hot food at a buffet breakfast is not good. The cereal was also stale. Not a good stay at all.

Happy hour. A little warm in the rooms, not too bad though. Happy hour was great! 5:30-7:30 they serve drinks (non-alcoholic and alcoholic) and snacks (popcorn, chips, etc) all complimentary to guests. Very friendly staff as well. We were a little warm in our room but nothing so bad as to call the front desk about.

shower faucet would not turn off, carpets in room VERY dirty, broken floor tiles in room, balcony sliding door wouldn't lock (was on second floor above air conditioning unit). Overall, room-poor, breakfast-ok, pool-ok, 3 of 4 elevators worked-but very slow.

Family vacation with three children. The hotel has been renovated recently and they were putting in new matresses in many rooms while we were there. The double size beds were comfortable, although, they had room for larger beds--which would have been nicer. My daughter and I slept on one bed, my husband and son on another, and my other son on the sofa bed. There was a door on the bedroom. The rooms were clean and the staff was very helpful and nice. I asked for extra towels and they were immediately brought up. They remembered my name the entire stay. They had a cooked to order breakfast every morning with omlettes, pancakes, bacon, sausage, cereal, fruit...it was excellent. Every evening there were free snacks and cocktails/beer/wine and soda--as much as you wanted. The pool was clean and there were towels. The hot tub was out of order one day, then repaired. The hotel foyer is as beautiful as it is in the pictures. The only complaints: the bus boys are quick and will clear the tables, it turned into a game to try to make sure they didn't swipe your food if you got up. The elevators are slooow. There are only two washers, two dryers...although I never seemed to have trouble with getting one. Overall, we had a fantastic stay and would very highly recommend it to any other family with children. They did have trouble with outsiders bringing in pizza delivery flyers. Make sure you check with the hotel staff for recommended restaurants/pizza delivery. Excellent recomendations.

Overall the stay was fine. It's a very good location with excellent access. The rooms are large but the bathroom is minuscule. The weirdest thing was the elevators- long waits and small and narrow so hard to fit luggage carrier with anyone/thing else. No problems with staff. Very large breakfast area which is nice. Pool was overrun- not really small but it couldn't be big enough for the amounts present.

The free deluxe breakfast. The pool. The hotel was clean and the service was great. I loved the breakfast!

I had a little trouble at the front desk checking in due to the clerks having trouble attempting to bill online travel agency The first thing a saw as I entered into the main foyer was a broken elevator. When I summoned for a second elevator I heard a rather loud vibrating sound emitting from another elevator across the way. I discovered that the vibrating elevator was closest to the indoor swimming pool that was out of order. Upon entry into the hotel room, I discovered that the front curtains (right side) would not close with the lead wand that was attached. I had to climb on a chair and manually string the curtains along to open and close them. The bathroom contained ants and the bathroom tile was dirty. It should also be noted that the bathroom door did not work nor did the bathroom fan/heater. The living room area was nice but the couch and living room chair were exceptionally dirty. Finally, during the day, you could hear loud machinery either upstairs or in the room next-door. However, I will say that the staff was polite and professional. I would have to say that it is not worth the price. P.S. They may want to clean the spider webs from the main chandelier that is located in the main check-in area.

The sinks stopped upped in bedroom. Furnishing worn out. Toilets ran all night long after one flush. I couldn't read the buttons on the remote worn off letters. Snack time it a joke, chips and dip went out in the ""70"". Carpets dirty worn out. NOISY I could hear the people next door humping and growing. HOW'S that for NOISE. Not the mention the 300 pound-er above me who shook my wall and ceiling when he walks or moves. A sagging bed middle does speak well for a * a night. The breakfast I could have had at ihop for less and better. I spent most time waiting for slow elevators.

The Embassy Suites San Antonio NW I-10 was very clean, comfortable, and the staff was very helpful. During my stay I experienced an emergency and the staff did a great job helping. The location is only a short drive to the Riverwalk area.

Bed was comfortable, hotel was beautiful and staff was wonderful. Embassy Suites should be grateful for a staff like the one at this hotel, it was clean, inviting and very comfortable.

This is the second time that our family has stayed at the Embassy Suites. The first was a year ago- it was good then, now it is even better. The hotel has been updated and they have now added a fitness area which is great! The breakfast is a plus, especially if you are traveling with your children, and the evening drinks are great for mom and dad after a day of activities with the kids. You can expect to be left alone by the staff, which in my opinion is great because there is such a thing as being too helpful, but when you call for assistance expect a great attitude and an eagerness to help. The location is good, you can get to about anything you want in San Antonio within about 20-30 min. The only thing I wish this hotel had is an outside pool. For the money this place is a steal!!! This will definitely be our hotel of choice whenever we visit San Antonio. Oh and by the way our family travels with 2 adults and 3 kids (ages are: 4, 2,and 2) and we make it work in one room- anywhere that can accommodate that has my vote!!!

We love the made to order breakfast. Only 1 cook for the breakfast - long time to wait & hard mattresses - elevator did not work a lot. Customers would be much happier if the breakfast had more than 1 cook.

It looks a little run down and smells funny. The floors were very shiny and clean in the lobby. Our room had a very torn sheer curtain, the vent fan in the bathroom did not work. There were stains in the carpet. I could have said the room was for four people, but in reality, only two of us slept there. For the manager reception, they refused service to two of our guests directing us to purchase drinks from the bar. They did not offer wait staff service to the atrium where the complimentary beverages were served. I thank the manager for allowing our daughter to have breakfast with us. We might have enjoyed dinner at the hotel, but went out after the drink refusal. I had stayed at another Embassy Suites closer to the airport in the past. I would probably try going back there before going to the one on Briaridge again. Given the price we paid, I fell we could have had just as nice a stay elsewhere. The refrigerator in the room was nice. Did not use the coffee service.

I liked the very nice breakfast in the mornings. It started the day of shopping off on the right foot. The hotel was all that we expected. The staff was very helpful and courteous. It was quiet even with many children there.

Upon check-in we were told that the Embassy would be undergoing renovations next year, but even as it was, it was still very nice. The nicest part for families is that the whole group can stay comfortably together. Our daughter was comfortable in the living area while we still had a bedroom to ourselves. Great breakfast buffet and nice hospitality hour made it a nice stay.
