Very friendly staff and spacious accommodations. The table cloth on the reception table was not very appealing. My husband and I were very pleased with the hotel and would definitely stay there or any other Embassy Suites again.

Stayed at the Embassy Suites Portland in June for as part of our vacation. We ended up staying an extra night because we were so happy with this hotel. Our room looked brand new and after talking to the front desk we found out they just had a big renovation done. I think the value was excellent as the price included drinks and snacks each night(free!!!) and a big breakfast in the AM. It was a great $$ saver for our family of 5. We had a big suite with enough room for all of us to be comfortable. Close to the water and shopping we will always choose this hotel when in Portland. We have not found a better deal in Portland to beat the Embassy Suites. Wished we could have stayed longer!

"Checked in about 10pm after flying all day. Driver who picked us up at airport was no help whatsoever with luggage. Upon getting to room, heat was on FULL, must have been 80 plus degrees. Only three bath towels for a suite. (We had four in our party). Restaurant, Bar and Room Service all closed at 10pm. I guess we should have waited until Memorial Day to check in when room service is open until 11pm. Overall not impressed for the price we had to pay."

I stayed here because it was close to the airport. I was in my room 30 minutes after I touched down! The room was spotless, linens wonderful and room was very quiet. My only negative was that I got an unsolicited wake up call at 5:45 AM. Breakfast was excellent.

I enjoyed the suite style rooms and the staff in the restaurant. Very nice and hospitable people. Very clean all around.

"Suite room was lacking enough towels, no extra blankets or pillows, no guest service directory in room. Restaurant was good but overpriced for food served. Wait staff in restaurant was excellant. Bar tender needs to go back to school to learn how to mix a drink and get a personality. Front desk staff was excellant. Initial check in was great."

The new rooms were spectacular. The beds were the most comfortable beds ever. The staff was very friendly. We stay there often. We will be back soon and can't wait to see the finished renovations.

The room was a nice size and clean. The view. The hotel, overall, was very nice. The only thing we didn't like was the view from our suite.

"The Suite was great, large and clean. The pool was too cold and dark...it seemed out dated. The Happy hour with entertainment was great. Closest hotel to the airport. Nice lobby. Restaurant ok."

The Embassy Suites aiport site is right at the Portland Jetport, making it convenient if your flight is late afternoon or early evening. Check-in was smooth, staff very friendly, an excellent restaurant on site, and very comfortable room with comfy king bed. As Portland is not a large city, the wharf area and downtown are easily accessible. The Portland shopping mall is across the street as well. This hotel was as good as it gets.

Having two room suite and smoking made our stay work well. The suite model with the mini kitchenette makes this highly desirable for travelers like us. We rarely go out to eat or stay in a hotel, these accommodations make it easier to stay in and enjoy the comforts of home, watch TV, and for the two of us not need to do what the other was doing. Smoking rooms especially appreciated.

The Embassy Suites - Portland was very comfortable. The suite had a bedroom and a sitting room. Both were a little dark, but good for sleeping. The room was clean, upscale furnishings, but perhaps a little worn. The best part of the visit was a very lively happy hour with live music. The music was performed by local musicians, the Tony Boffa Trio, who had excellent stage presence, and love for music. The atmosphere was infectious - it was very much like being at a live concert at an intimate cocktail lounge! Two other advantages: the desk clerk loaned me a laptop to check email while I listened to the jazz trio, and the restaurant had excellent seafood.

The Embassy Suite Portland,Maine need to be upgraded. The Hotel staff,location and amenities made my stay a good stay. The electronics was out-dated and my room had holes in the celling from rain.
