We just needed a hotel near the airport, because we had an overnight connection. We have always liked Embassy Suites, and this was near the airport, so we booked it, even though there were cheaper options. First, they only run a shuttle to the airport every 30 minutes, instead of every 20 minutes, like most midrange hotels do. Because of this, not only was there a long wait, the shuttles were over-crowded, with people sitting in the aisles of the van! Then, the night we got there, there was no hot water! We needed a shower, but I was not up for a cold shower - SO ANNOYING! And then around 1AM WATER started dripping from the ceiling into our kitchen sink, making a LOUD DRIPPING SOUND ALL NIGHT LONG. The water was coming from a pvc pipe, put directly over the sink, so it appeared to be something that was supposed to happen! We booked this hotel just for a convieneint place to shower and sleep - and we got NONE of it. The long wait and crowded shuttle made it not convienent. We could not shower for lack of hot water, and the dripping sound all night kept us awake! We complained, and they WOULD have refunded all of our money, BUT because we booked it through ORBITZ they said they could not just refund the $150 we had paid. This is a HUGE downside of using ORBITZ that I have never experienced before, but it is something that will make me more reluctant to use in the future.

Great Hotel and extremely clean. Has a very good complementary buffet type breakfast. The rooms are large, the beds no so much. Fitness room is brand new with very good equipment. The only down side is the pool, very small. Just a few minutes away from the airport and rental locations. Would definitely stay here again.

The food in the restaurant was excellent. We stayed just for 1 night due to porting out on a crusie the next day. The buffett was awesome. The staff was very courteous and knowledgable. The mattresses are like heaven! I told my husband I had to have one! If you are visiting miami, I would definately recommend this hotel. The only downfall was the shuttle was extremely slow! we waited 45 mins. at the hotel to be picked up and they are suppose to come every 20 mins!! But this is the only bad thing I have to say.

We liked the convience of meeting an outgoing flight to send our daughter to Chile and being able to use the shuttle service to get to and from the airport. The food at the resturant was very good, and we had a nice dinner before going to the airport. We will use this hotel again when we pick her up in 9 months.

Convenient to airport. Nice atmosphere of lobby, staff was very helpful with problems.

The rooms are suites with a separate vanity outside the bathroom. Service is great and place is smoke free and very clean. Lots of channels on tv, pleasant pool area and pretty much anything you want for breakfast included. The lobby and ponds in the atrium area are beautiful. Fresh lemon ice water available 24/7 and a wine-beer reception every evening to unwind. They will make a drink in a plastic cup to take to the pool. The restaurant was very good with Omaha steaks and good choices with patio dining available. We flew in from the West Coat though, and were ready for a meal and they were just closing at 11:00 and my tummy said 8:00.

Great deal for the money - friendly, quick service, great beds, clean rooms, close to airport and has free shuttle. Breakfast was great and so much to choose from. I would highly recommend this hotel especially to people with families.

Great if you want to be near the airport. The rooms are big and clean, and the atrium is a nice place to have breakfast (cooked to order and excellent) or hang out in the evening. The fitness center is nice and bigger than most hotel fitness centers. The pool looked nice but was closed both days that I was there for maintenance. The biggest downside is that you need a car to do anything else, as there is really nothing within walking distance.

My family stayed here for three nights just before our cruise, and we were very happy with our choice. I found the location to be great for doing a little sight-seeing before we left, and even though it is right next to the airport, I didn't find the noise to be a problem. I must add, however, that I did not spend much time outside (at the pool for example), so the noise may be more of a factor there. Bottom line is that the property is very well kept, and you just can't beat the amenities for the price. They have a very, very nice complimentary breakfast buffet, including made-to-order omelets, as well as free unlimited coctails during the two-hour manager's reception in the evening. The on-site rental car company was a big plus also, although their staff could use some attitude adjustment. The on-site restaurant, lounge, business center, and fitness center were quite nice also, and the pool area is absolutely beautiful. Also keep in mind that there is a Bennigan's Restaurant well within walking distance; about a block down a small private drive adjacent to the hotel. Unless you're looking for absolute peace and quiet, since this hotel does bring in a lot of guests, this place can't be beat.

We stayed at the Embassy Suites pre-cruise. The price was right, the rooms were clean, and the staff was extremely friendly and helpful. Free airport shuttle, and only a small fee for the shuttle to the port. The free managers reception, and free buffet breakfast were extra added values. Will stay here again on our next cruise out of Miami.

Being close to everything & especially the south beach. Surprised it did not have enough safety deposit boxes. Some Embassy suites I've earlier stayed at had room safety boxes. Parking should be free of charge for customers paying for the room.

We only stayed one night but it was great! The rooms were nice and clean. The free breakfast was very good! The staff was very helpful. They had a room with four computers for their guest to use (free internet access) Great for families!

Rooms was clean and staff were prompt and friendly. Hotel was fully decked out in stereotypical Floridian decor. Somewhat hard to find and in a questionable neighborhood. Definately wouldn't feel safe wandering the neighborhood but the hotel seemed safe and secure. Did have a gated parking lot and a security presence. Guess that is the trade-off for wanting to stay close to the airport. Excellent room service at a fair price. Would definately stay here again if I had an early morning flight out of MIA.

We felt like we got a lot of hotel for a little money and it was absolutely gorgeous- inside and out. The only downside was, there were a few roaches that unnerved the heck out of us and made us shake out everything we took, but they made up for it by excusing the 60 something dollar parking we had to pay. Oh yeah that's another thing, we didn't know we had to pay for parking until we got there.

Beautiful plants and pool area. Needed a more casual restaurant, maybe a coffee/drink stand as where you could take a drink to the pool. In addition to the restaurant available. Beautiful atrium hotel with lots of plants, light, and a pond and stream with fish. Gorgeous pool garden area. Nice free breakfast with daily free drinks at 5-7. Great room with separate living area and kitchen. So comfy.

We stayed at the Embassy Suites Miami for a pre cruise stay. We stayed in a Double suite as there were 6 of us. Hotel was great, room was very spacious and big, breakfast was very very good for a hot hotel breakfast. The shuttle was easy to spot at the airport.. didn't have to wait long for it to show up. Check in was smooth and easy, hotel staff was very nice and helpful. Pool wasn't heated but it's Florida, so it was warm anyways. . would reccomend it anytime.
