Overall a nice place to stay.

The suites were great, and the free breakfast and drinks during happy hour were nice perks. One of our rooms was a single room (i.e. a non-suite) that was not nearly as nice as a suite. The walls were incredibly thin and it was easy to hear the neighbors, and the room itself was tiny. I don't know how both the suite and the smaller room were the same price. The wireless internet and valet parking were a bit pricey as well ($14.95 a day for internet, $30 a day for parking.

My husband and I travel to New Orleans often, but this was one of the best hotel accomodations I have had. From the day we entered to the day we left, everyone was friendly, helpful and truly made our stay there a very memorable one. Desma, thank you! It's excellent location made it an added value. The buffet breakfast and the free libations in the afternoon, after a long perhaps hot day of sight seeing, took it over the top! The bedding was tremendously comfortable. I'll stay there again and again, they definetly have it right! C.S.

Staff is attentive and helpful. Comfortable, peaceful environment inside and out. Location is great and within walking distance to interesting attractions and historical places.

Breakfast bar open in the morning. Parking. Location. Age of bed (The bed was blown out). Hotel requires you to pay 30 hours per day for mandatory Valet parking regardless of duration vehicle in the their possession. Bedroom were very old. Too expensive for what you get.

We booked the hotel because previous experiences with Embassy Suites have been excellent. However, our first disappointment was that we had to exit the hotel after check-in and walk 1 block late at night to an adjacent building called "The Lofts". This was after we were required to use valet parking (Like it or not). The Lofts is not of the same quality as any Embassy Suites we have ever been in. The room was large, but the carpet and furnishings were worn. There were people loitering in the hallway outside our room, using foul language and being very obnoxious. The walls were very thin and we could hear everything in the hallway and in adjacent rooms. We certainly did not feel safe with the goings on in the hall and we knew there would be no sleeping. We checked out 30 minutes after checking in (forfeiting our payment). We would never consider staying here again and would not recommend it. It is not of the quality we have come to expect with Embassy Suites.

Was there to attend a conference at a nearby hotel where the rate was nearly double. Always enjoy Embassy Suites for the extra room, I find it is more relaxing to someplace to relax besides a chair next to the bed which is all yo would have in an ordinary hotel.

Would not stay here again.

the rooms are very old with peeling paint, our daughters room's a/c did not work, she called several times over the night, she also alerted the f desk to the fact that she had an infant in the room, they made no effort to fix the ac, or to switch her room, even though there were several rooms left vacant in the hotel. the room was 3rd floor, and very hot & humid. the front desk offered an 50 refund the next morning on one room.

Before booking you should check to see if there is a convention in town. The hotel serves the Convention Center and the fact that there were no major events went a long way toward making my visit so pleasant. (It also affects the price.) The hotel's location in the Arts District provides a very different experience than staying in a French Quarter hotel. I really liked being removed from the noise and crowds, but if you want to be in the middle of the action, book in the Quarter. The staff was extremely friendly. I have never had a hotel manager introduce himself and then introduce the desk clerks. I thought it was an aberation, since it was fairly slow when I arrived, but the parking valets, the security staff, the people working the breakfast buffet, etc. were all extremely polite and very friendly. It was very different from my experiences with the staffs of other New Orleans hotels. Minor issues with a TV remote that didn't work and some cold food in the breakfast buffet, but nothing that would change my overall opinion of the hotel. Parking is pretty expensive ($30 a day), but not out of line with other downtown hotels. Looking at my ratings of the hotel, I realize it's not about the facility, it was the staff that made my stay special.

Very clean and well laid out hotel. Initial check in was cumbersome. Mostly because of slightly rude clerk. Very nice hotel. Hotel amenities were plentiful and the staff was very nice. Slightly off the beaten path but I still highly recommend.

Good location, walk or streetcar to french quarter. Pool small but OK, last renovations being done to the hot tub and breakfast area (must be finished now). Breakfast great, afternoon drinks free from bar with wide selection. Overall good value. Parking 26 per day, but expensive everywhere downtown.

Wonderful location, just two blocks to the Street Car which gets you to the French Quarter in ten minutes or so. Very quiet and safe neighborhood. easy walk to the river walk, Canal Street etc. Great value.

The staff was very professional and courteous. The restaurant was not at the level I expected. I found the hotel to be clean and inviting. The breakfast provided was excellent. All of the staff was available and helpful when needed. The rooms were clean and very inviting.

This hotel was just a short walk from the cruise port. Even with our luggage, the walk was effortless. The front desk staff were freindly and helpful with locating area attractions for us. The price was slightly higher than what we would normally pay for accomodations of this kind but it was the weekend of the Jazz Fest and price was probably affected by that. We were in one of the "Loft" suites, which was very nice. The suite was updated, roomy, very clean and nicely decorated. The only drawback was the fact that the loft suites were in an adjacent building and you needed to go outside to get to the front desk. Very, very minor inconvenience. The free full breakfast buffet was excellent. The traffic flow through the buffet line and omlet station created some confusion but the food was fresh and top notch. The manager's reception in the evening offered free drinks and snacks. Many guest took full advantage. With the free breakfast and reception we could now understand why the room was priced the way it was. We didn't feel like we didn't get our money's worth. The hotel location was within comfortable walking distance of the French Quarter and Riverwalk shopping area. Unfortunately the pool was closed for repairs and we didn't use any of the other facilities offered by the hotel. I would definately stay here again.

I need to start off saying that I got a deal where I got my fourth night free so my stay was considerably cheaper than it would have been without it. I was there for a conference and it was super close to the convention center. My per diem was relatively small so the free breakfast was great. I also liked the managers reception (free drinks for two hours!!!) The French Quarter was not a long walk, but wouldn't recommend if that is your top priority. Might make for a long walk at the end of the day although it was only a seven dollar taxi ride. The front desk people and the bellhop were all very helpful. Only complaint is the lack of electrical outlets in the room. Wanted to plug in my phone and laptop couldn't find easy access to an outlet in the bedroom or the sitting room.

The staff, especially the concierge, was friendly and helpful. The complementary breakfast was great. Nothing--everything was fine. I will stay here again when I am in New Orleans.

Enjoy your stay at the Embassey Suites, New Orleans; a place that is modern and well maintained; with fine food and the best staff I have experienced in a long time. The folks at Embassey Suites New Orleans go out of their way to make you feel welcome and to serve your needs; from a smile at breakfast to detailed directions to the attactions they demonstrate pride in their hotel and their city.

The staff was great. Very friendly and informative. Room was very comfortable, food was excellent. We did not have hot water in our room, so our showers were luck warm, but they comp. our parking (30.00) to make up for it. Highly recommended, great location, wonderful staff, pool was nice and the breakfast exceeded our expectation. Awesome experience.
