Location. On arrival (late afternoon) they did not have the room type we had booked so had to move on second day. Could not confirm the cost of room.

Although the hotel was clean and the service was wonderful, the noise level was unbearable. Between the street noise that could be heard 24 hours a day, and the constant pounding, starting as early as 6:00 AM and going on far into the evening, my family did not rest for 3 nights. According to the hotel, there was NO contruction going on. They sent staff to the room to observe the noise and still insisited there was no contruction. Must have been ghosts!

We have stayed at this hotel before and will stay here again. As our son attends school at AU we visit DC twice a year. We have stayed in at least three other Hotels in the DC area and we have settled in on the Embassy Suites. We find the convienance of being right above the red line meto puts all of DC nearby. In our three day trip, we ate in Bethesda, saw a ball game in Nationals park, took a boat ride down the Patomac, shopped in Alexandria, Georgetown and Dupont Circle all via the metro. The front desk was very helpful as we reserved our suites for a May comencement. We love the daily breakfast and the very clean fitness center. * per day to park the only down side. Lots of shopping and resturants within walking distance. This ones a no brainer.

Cooked to order breakfast, happy hour! Remodeling in progress smelled like paint. Nice place to stay because it was easy to get to by metro. Store and restaurants near by. Appeared to be a little empty, not used to that. Often wondered why?

My wife and I have a nice time in DC. The hotel was very nice. We arrived early and they were able to get us into a room way before check in time (@10 am). The hotel is in need of some updating (carpet in the halls), but otherwise it was a great expierence. We will return to the Embassy Suites @ Chevy Chase soon.

Beautiful hotel. Great made-to-order breakfast -- large buffet. Very friendly and helpful staff. We picked this hotel because the metro is literally downstairs (Friendship Heights stop). The Chevy Chase Pavilion has upscale stores along with the Cheesecake Factory restaurant. It's a 15-20-minute metro ride from the hotel to 'downtown' DC's Union Station. The hotel is expensive, but we had 2 families in one room (5 people total), staying here and sharing the cost. We would be happy to stay here again!

Great location, Large Room with small serving area that included bar sink and glasses. Only downfall was the refrig. seem to have not been working well and the room could have been a little cleaner (Band-Aid was still stuck on the bathroom floor). Even though the hotel was not sold out we could not check in until 2:30. Our luggage was stored as a courtesy until our room was available; however it was a little bit of an inconvenience. Metro was under the hotel which is why we choose this hotel and was a huge benefit since we were traveling with our kids this trip. The convinces of the metro is why we would stay here again... and plan our trip around the check in time.

Access to Metro trains on ground floor of hotel. $24 per day parking fee. Absolutely loved the access to the Metro subway right on the ground floor of the hotel. LOTS of shopping and restaurant choices within easy walking distance.

This hotel was wonderful for our Washington D.C. trip! We flew into Reagan Airport and took the Metro directly to the station under the hotel - we got in late at night, so this was great. The convenient Metro access was helpful throughout our weekend trip. There was a misunderstanding with our reservation, but the hotel staff handled this efficiently and gave us a room for the night until things could be cleared up with the manager the following morning. The desk staff were extremely courteous and helpful from questions about directions to bringing up a replacement for a room key that had been demagnatized. The made to order breakfast was definitely one of the offerings that brought us to this hotel and it was one of our favorite options about this hotel. Washington D.C. touring requires a lot of walking and starting the day off with an omlet or other hearty options kept us going long after a bagel or muffin alone would have run out. There is also a Cheesecake Factory resturant in the same building - we had dinner there one night and took the leftovers back to our room for the following evening. It was truly nice to have the small refrigerator and microwave in our room for this - we had a relaxing dinner and movie in our room after a long day of sight seeing. We also visited the Starbucks downstairs :) I also just have to mention the beauty of the hotel setting - glass roof, waterfalls in the lobby, brass railings shining in the sunlight, lots of plants, etc. Everything was spotlessly clean and well maintained. One last note - the hotel has a lugguage storage room where you can leave bags after you check out if you are departing later.

We stayed a week and it was fantastic - the staff was very helpful and friendly the room was a very nice size the location was great - we did not have to leave the building for the metro so we always felt very safe

We are very picky about our beds and found this hotel to be very comfortable. The breakfast was great, also. The glass elevators topped it off.

we were in DC for a relative's wedding and they recommended this hotel. this is an excellent choice for families for the rooms are fairly spacious. the daily complimentary breakfast buffet is fantastic with a own do-it-yourself omellette bar. it's located inside an upscale but not terribly busy mall, so shopping is really convienent and pleasant. if you do find a rollaway bed in your room which you did not order, do notify front desk, for they do have extra daily charges for them.

It was about a 30 minute Metro ride to the Smithsonian Metro stop. It was extremely convenient in that you could access the Metro without going outside. There is a Starbucks about a one minute walk from the entrance to the Metro, so we were happy. The coffee in the hotel was mediocre at best, so we stopped at Starbucks on the way to breakfast each morning. My only complaint about the hotel was that the two elevators were verrry slow. One time, myself and another gentleman ended up timing it, and it took 4 1/2 minutes from when we first looked at our watches.

This was the perfect hotel for our family. 10 of us occupied 3 rooms with no complaints. Location to metro, great breakfast included, pool for the kids, shopping, very helpful staff, everything under one roof. Need I say more?

"My family of 5 loved it here. The included breakfast was fabulous with the cook to order omlette/egg station plus everything else we didnt get bored. Having the metro under the hotel was great,Cheesecake Factory in the hotel, across the street a nice movie theatre ONLY downfall of our stay was the jacuzzi/pool area smelled way too much like chlorine. My kids didnt seem to mind,. No need to take your towels to the pool, there's a changing room where towels are supplied. In the hotel mall, Steinmart gives a discount to hotel guests. I definately would stay here again, lots of room "
