We checked in on a Saturday for a triathlon that I was participating in on Sunday. We were able to check in early, which was great because we had two bicycles that we were able to secure in the suite before driving around town. The staff was friendly, the facility was clean, and it was in a pretty good location for touristy stuff (although we didn't really do any). The suite was an excellent option for us, because we were able to put our 1-year old to bed in the bedroom, then close the door and still sit up reading and watching television. I wasn't able to go to the "complimentary cooked-to-order breakfast" the next morning, because it didn't start until seven a.m., but my husband went and said the "cooked-to-order" aspect consisted of an unmanned omelet station. The only other food available was toast, muffins, and yogurt. He would have appreciated at least a box of cereal or some milk or juice he could have grabbed on his way out! All in all, a good experience, and we'd recommend it and do it again, but we won't count on the breakfast!

The layout of the suite and the balcony. The bedroom window did not open even though there was a balcony there. Embassy Suites on Ben Franklin Parkway is probably one of the best hotels I've ever stayed in, and I've traveled all over the world. The suite was roomy, the bed was comfortable, nice kitchen area.

The front desk people were very helpful and polite. They were there when I checked in after 10:00 pm. At the end of my stay, I checked out in the morning and they kept my bag for almost the entire day (for the price of a tip!) so I could go straight to the airport after my meeting was over. I do wish they had an airport shuttle. The airport is 8 miles away and the cabs have a flat fee of $28. But it was very easy to get a cab to and from the hotel. The suite was very nice. The kitchenette was nice and clean - microwave, sink, and mini-fridge. The bathroom is tiny but very nice and super-clean. The bedroom has a huge closet and a decent bed.. There is a balcony off the livingroom which is awesome! You do have to carry a chair out if you want to sit there, which I did, and it was great to drink coffee out there in the morning. The seating was kinda hard, but the setup of furniture was nice. Nice big desk. The hotel was pretty quiet. Street noise was not bad. The HVAC was somewhat loud and runs continuously, but it worked fine. Room service was quick, polite, and good. The free breakfast was also good, with a wide variety of foods including fruit. Lunch and dinner at Friday's was good, but lunch is a VERY busy time. There is a Subway nearby, and we walked to Reading Market for lunch and it was excellent. Tip: Look for the elevator button in the place you wouldn't expect to see it. There it is! : D

Our hours at the Embassy Suites were a nightmare. We pulled up to the very small check in area (as a car got rear ended trying to pull in by a taxi) to find a major construction project underway. As we came back from dinner to enjoy our suite and change clothing (part of bachelorette party festivities) we were told we could not have more than 5 people in our room at a time - and they were counting. Well, after our nice dinner and plans to give the bride some gifts, and change for the next portion of our evening we were informed of this policy. We booked at the Embassy Suites specifically for the size of the room to accommodate our guest for an hour to celebrate with the bride and relax before going back out in the city. When we calmly explained the situation to the manager and the other workers at the desk, they offered us the lobby (which was under construction)...for us to get changed?? The customer service was horrendous. If it weren't for a smart thinking bridesmaid, the bride's night would have been ruined. We tried to reason with the staff for at least 45 minutes while the bride's mother, mother in law, and family, some of whom were out of state, were left to stand on the corner and wait until the situation was settled. At first when asked for a refund we were told they don't do that even after they were told the whole reason we came there was because of the space. The only thing they have going for them is that after they wasted a large part of our night they refunded us our money and we found an ever better hotel.

I booked this hotel for a bachelorette party. All of the rooms are suites (most with pullout sofas), so it was nice that all 5 of us could stay in 1 room. Great location, right in the center. We had a "city view" room on the 25th floor, which did in fact have a nice view. Breakfast at TGIFridays was included for free.

The room was great- we loved having a living room seperate from the bedroom. Although we did not get a chance to participate in the cocktail hour in the lobby,we thought it was a great idea. The staff was very helpful and recommended a place for dinner and other activities in the area. I would definitely stay there again.

We had an overnight stay, and would have enjoyed a pool. However, the hotel is in a great location. Within walking distance to a number of attractions. Vallet parking for a price. The concierge was extremely helpful with directions, cabs, etc. Breakfast and evening snacks were great. Staff was very helpful. We had no problems with maintenance issues. Overall, a greaat stay!

This is my second experience of this hotel and it was every bit as good as my first. The staff is first-rate. The rooms are well appointed and very clean. The only disappointment I had was that the ventilation in my room did not work well.

Free breakfast buffet. Noisy AC, broken plumbing fixtures, allergens in pillows. Combination of problems made this a very bad stay. I would not recommend this hotel.

Really enjoyed our stay, hotel is very convenient, easy walking to museums and on the tour bus route. The rooms are spacious and staff pleasant. We were disappointed that there was no swimming pool. AC didnt work our last day there and room service skipped us one day. Extra daily charge for internet. Food service is a TGIFridays downstairs. We liked the breakfasts included with the room. Skip the hot buffet and go directly to the omelette station for best breakfast. The managers receptions in late afternoon were overcrowded. So was breakfast if you waited til last minute, go early.

Great service at desk, varied breakfast, large suite, in walking distance to museums and historic district. I didn't like having to pay for parking in addition to room.

Generous accommodation space. Bathroom rather small. Staff was very friendly and provided us with a complimentary breakfast.

The location of the hotel was convenient to the downtown sites. The rooms were very spacious. I had read from other reviews that the elevators were slow and the breakfast crowded. We did not experience either and we stayed during the week of July 4th. The staff was helpful. The AC was loud and disturbed your sleep at times. Our AC quit working and the hotel fixed the problem although one night was a bit warm. I would recommend this hotel for families. The breakfast was good and the rooms spacious.

Very roomy and comfortable personal space Common space was very crowded and loud though Elevators very slow and throngs of students at convention populated hotel while our family was there making for a lot of noise pizza deliveries and the like

Great hotel - friendly, professional staff, beautiful room, evening reception, and great free breakfast. The only drawback to the breakfast is that the room is a little crowded. When the weather is good, you can eat on an outside deck which is lovely.

Big suite-loads of room. Great location. Breakfast was terrible.
