I loved this hotel. The front desk staff were very helpful with directions, suggestions, planning metro stops. I can't imagine a better location.

A very clean hotel in a fantastic location. Quite an upmarket area - felt very safe walking around & catching Metro. Great little deli next door & nice restaurants around. Room wasn't huge, but you can't expect space in Paris. Were lucky enough to have a room with a balcony where we had a great view of the Eiffel tower. Staff were quite helpful & breakfast was adequate, although the breakfast room was very small for so many guests - had to take breakfast out in the courtyard a couple of days. Would stay there again if we went back.

Very adorable hotel!! 5 minute walk to the Arch and a 15 minute walk to the Eiffel Tower, 5 minutes to Kleber Metro Station! Amazing views of the Eiffel Tower from our balcony. Rooms were very clean and the staff was extremely friendly and helpful. We stayed there this past week and had the most amazing time. There are american outlets too so you don't need the converters. Bring an alarm clock though because we did not have a clock in the room and they don't do wake up calls, so we had to sleep with the curtains opened so the light would wake us up. Also, because it is in the wealthy district, everything closes early! So if you want dinner, you may have to go to another district, otherwise you might miss out. You wouldn't even know that it is only a 3 star hotel. I got engaged there too and the staff was very happy for us! :) I highly recommend anyone to stay here! I can't wait to go back!!

I had just stayed here last week and thoroughly enjoyed it. i work at a hotel i know if its good or not so heres my honest review. here are the pros and cons for this hotel: Pros: the location, its a 7 min walk to see the eifel tower, a 15 min walk to the arc triomphe, next door on the left of the hotel is a small grocery store (to buy bottled water etc), left of it is an italian restaurant. half a block on the right are 2 cafes/brasserie (cheesburgers anyone?), a block is a Metro station. The staff is wonderful, fluent in English. the rooms are very nice and kept clean. full bathtub/shower. daily housekeeping. if you get a top view, youll see the eifel tower when you wake up in the morning. there is breakfast served for 10 euros/person which includes croissants, jam, pastries, fruits, yogart, ham/cheese omelets are 5 euros extra a piece. there is an in-room safebox, to get a key you must deposit which will be returned to you at check out. Cons: i cant find anything wrong with this hotel, its just perfect in everyway, i cant seem to find any other place to stay again next time but this place. if youre one of the type that expects too much for paying nothing and likes to go dust hunting around your room instead of being outside exploring then you should consider going somewhere else. if youre the smart type like me, i can tell you this is a good deal. i guarantee it. ENJOY YOUR TRIP! =)

Our very first trip to Paris was made even more pleasant by the three main staff members at the front desk. [...] were cheerful, accomodating, friendly and professional. Iitially, when we checked in, we were taken aback by the size of the double room and counldn't imaging living in the room for 3 weeks. However, we managed to put away 2 large suitcases of clothing. Although the beds were not very comfortable, by the end of our first week in Paris we came to think of and refer to the Elyesse as home. And a home should have had a DVD player and a radio, especially when about the only English television station is CNN Abroad. Parisians eat a lite breakfast and therefore we did not find the 20euro per person breakfast for a basket of bread, coffee, fruit and yougart worth the price. Walk to the Effile, Arc De Triomphe and down the Champs Elysees to the Louvre. Or there's always the Metro! It is fantastic and simply organized! It's a very short walking distance to the #6,1,9, 2 . ..etc. Also the RER A-line is a short walk.

If you don't expect a spacious room or one just like the pictures on the web site, you'll be happy. The rooms are small like most hotels in Europe. The value was tremendous! The location was great. Very safe neighborhood with a quick walk to the Arc de Triomphe or Trucedero. And yes, you can see the Tour de Eiffel from your window or the front door! Although the rooms were small, they were very clean. There were only two power outlets and a worthless blow dryer attached to the wall, so plan accordingly. The staff was very helpful and friendly. If you want a great value and don't need a ton of space, it's a great place. We would stay again.

This was the 3rd time I had stayed at this hotel. You cannot beat the location and helpful staff. We were a group of 6 ladies and the apartment with a double room next door fit our traveling needs to a tee. The staff was friendly, spoke english and helped with all our requests. The Metro was a block away with the Open Air Bus stop perhaps 2 blocks away. The Eiffel Tower and Arc de Triomphe were both in walking distance of the hotel. Can't get much better than this!

The staff was very courteous and enjoyable. Breakfast is served in your room at no extra charge. The location is very convenient to public transit and the Avenue des Champs-Élysées. Many dining options located within the area. Easy tour bus connections located nearby. Overall, a great experience and we would recommend this hotel without reservation for someone looking for a place in the $150 to $200 a night range in the heart of Paris.

We had a wonderful time and enjoyed the hotel. The hotel was pleasant and inviting. The downside of the hotel is that breakfast is not included, but with all the bakeries, we did not mind. The hotel is located in a perfect spot, it is between the Arc of Troimph and the Eiffel Tower, from our balcony we viewed the Eiffel. We walked everyday to the Eiffel Tower and had picnics. We also walked to the Hotel de Invalides, I'm telling you the hotel is awesomely located! The staff was helpful and the hotel was very clean. You can walk everywhere from the hotel.

We were very pleased with our stay at the Elysees Union Hotel. It is in a terrific location near the Broissiere Metro Station, close to the L'Arc de Triomphe and within walking distance to the Eiffel Tower and Champs Elysees. The room was small for three people but very clean and accomodating - once you emptied your luggage and put the suitcases above the wardrobe. The staff was very nice, extremely knowledgeable and very helpful. There is a small restaurant in the basement that serves a continental breakfast. We were three adults in one room and having spoke to other guests, I understand there are small two bedroom apartments available to rent also. We have been to Europe before and found this to be better than other hotels in this price range. I would definetely stay there again and would recommend it to my friends. This is in an older building and is not a fancy - 5 star hotel but it really satisfied our needs as we did not spend much time in the room. There is a small grocery store next door and dry cleaners across the street. There is also a fabulous Italian restaurant within 100 feet of the hotel with outstanding food and also several Brasseries to choose from! A block away is a main street that has many shops where you can get anything you need. There is also a pharmacy around the corner - all this making this the perfect location to stay. The only thing that would have made it the ideal place to stay is if it had an exercise room. Aside from that it was a good, safe hotel for a great price in a great location.

I loved the Elysees Union Hotel. It was close to the Boissiere Metro and an easy walk to the Arche de Triomphe and on the opposite side, the Trocadero area. It is a small, clean and tidy hotel, and found the hotel staff helpful and professional. They don't have a concierege but I found them to be helpful nonetheless. I didn't need much help, but witnessed the front desk clerk rounding up taxis for a big family, when she had a lot going on at the front desk. It was pretty and old world, and it was perfect for me.

THis hotel is located just 4 or 5 blocks from the Arc de Triomphe in one direction and about a 10 min. walk from the Eiffel Tower in the other direction! Great grocery right next door to hotel. we bought coffee for breakfast and the cheapest water in all Paris! Many local cafe's to pick up a quick bite. From the front door of the hotel you can see the Eiffel Tower. My husband and I took our two college age daughters. We reserved two rooms and got what you would call a suite in the US. Nice living area, kitchen, two bedrooms and two bathrooms - it was perfect for our purposes. Hotel staff spoke english and were very informative and helpful. The closest subway stop is Boissiere. Hotel is behind you as you exit. Go two blocks and take a right - you're there! We took the RER from Charles DeGaulle airport. It took about an hour with a minimum of two line changes - very easy. We read the Rick Steves' Paris 2008 before we arrived and it was the best guide in and around Paris. BEST tip from the book - go to the Orsay Museum at 5:00 pm - they let you in for free for the last hour of the day! Impressionist art is on the 2nd floor and they close that down first so head there first!!!!The best hour spent in a museum! WE did not eat at the hotel - we just went to a patisserier at the ned of the street for croissant's for breakfast in our room! We would definitly stay here again.

Excellent hotel. Staff was very friendly, helpful and spoke English. Room decent with view of the Eiffel Tower. Location great! Many sites within walking. The subway is nearby and easy to negotiate, once you take the plunge. The entire city can be visited easily and cheaply via the Metro. But Paris is so beautiful you will want to walk as much as possible. You will not be disappointed to stay at Elysses Union. Great vacation and celebration of 30 years of marriage in a most beautiful city.

The pictures online don't exactly give the right impression. The foyer is nice but our room was very small. There was hardly any space to put our luggage. There was a thick smell in the room. The elevator is extremely slow and rickety. The bed sheets, furniture, and the hotel in general were outdated. The bathroom/shower was small but clean. The staff was nice and helpful -- they gave us some suggestions about where to eat and where to go. The location was great -- only a 5 min. walk to the Eiffel tower. Overall the hotel was okay for my boyfriend and I -- as we were not there very much. Most of our time was spent sightseeing the whole day but nevertheless in the future I would book a different hotel.

Couldn't ask for a better location in Paris! Two blocks from the Arc de Triomphe and a short walk to the Eiffel Tower. The hotel is charming and quaint - apparently an old townhouse or residence. Excellent continental breakfast. The hallways are narrow and the rooms are small and could use serious updating. I've slept in more comfortable beds. No coffee/tea in the room. The shower was actually tight. There's only one English language channel on the tube. Of course we didn't visit Paris to watch TV, but after a long day walking around the city it would be nice to be able to come back to the room and veg a bit while watching TV before zonking. The staff, by the way, was wonderful and did everything they could to answer our questions and be helpful in any way they could. This was a three star hotel. I think perhaps next time I'd spend a couple of extra bucks and try a four star hotel in the same area.

Place was great; location was prestine...Got a great deal booking through online travel website...it's a 3 star; but we had 4 star service easily. Places to eat everywhere...10 minute walk to the Eiffel, 5 minute walk to Arch De Triumph, 2 Metro stops within a minute from the hotel...I really cant say enough good about this hotel. I will return!

Just what I expected. Great location, safe place. The room was small. Breakfast was NOT included. It would be 10 Euros per person if you were to pay for it. If you ordered the hotel off of their site, all those room included breakfast. It seems like the only people that did not get breakfast were us. There were many internet cafes around but you can use the Hotel's internet for 2.5 Euros for 15 minutes. Staff was friendly and helpful. Our rooms were nicely cleaned each day. The rooms you see on the internet are their nicer rooms -- the room we got was smaller. The bathroom did have a bathtub. For the price, it was really worth it. It was located about a 10 minute walk to the Arc and about a 20 minute walk to the Eiffel tower. If you do choose this hotel, walk towards the Eiffel tower down Kleber street and you will find some nice restaurants at the round about.
