The recently upgraded and extended shopping centre has all the top shops you'd expect to find, and the guest house is only a two minute walk to two parks, one of which has been re-designed as it was in Victorian times and after 3 million pounds worth of renovation work has taken place, the view is breath taking. We are very close to the South Shields beach and its fairground. It is in an area favoured by both business men and women, but also with leisure travellers. Even closer than the parks and the beaches are the great restaurants, which South Shields has in abundance. On Ocean Road itself visitors can find a wide selection restaurants, cafes and takeaways. They cater for every taste, traditional fish and chips, Mediterranean, Chinese, Italian and last but by far not least Indian Curry Houses right on our doorstep. With so much competition prices stay low so it's not a drain on your wallet to indulge in this cuisine. There are a large number of pubs and nightclubs a few minutes walk away from the guesthouse making it convenient for those that are visiting the area for the nightlife without being in a noisy location. Other local attractions include the Arbeia Roman Fort, The Customs House and Blue Reef Aquarium.
