The Elliott House is a small, charming, quaint hotel with a definite southern flair. It is convient to all of the Charleston Historic district. The staff was courteous and very helpful. I would not hesitate to stay again. The parking across the street is a bit expensive (20/day) and has no in/out. There is another lot one block away for 16/day (across King St.).

I spent many a night looking over reviews for a nice place in Charleston, and The Elliott House did not dissapoint. We traveled with friends. They had a room on the ground level and we had a third floor room. Because the daytime temps were near 100 for four straight days, the room on the third floor was very warm. It did not get comfortable till about 3 am. However, the grounds were nice and quaint. It proved to be a good, almost great location to discover the beauty of Charleston. Parking is in the public garage across the street at 13/ day. We parked the car and took advantage of the 4/ day trolley that picked you up about a block away. The rooms are on the small side, but serve their purpose. I would recommend this hotel to adults only. If you are taking children to visit, this is not the place. No pool,( it's a hot tub) which would have been nice to cool off from the 115 degree heat index and no room in the rooms for little ones. Overall, I am happy we selected the Elliot House and will come back some time in the future.

The property was beautiful. We enjoyed the breakfast served to our room and the evening cocktails were great, except one evening it was pouring rain, and there was no cover to sit under in the courtyard. The staff was courteous and helpful. The room was comfortable, but smaller than illustrated in the pictures. It was incredibly hot while we were there, and the A/C ran constantly. The room temp was tolerable, but I would have liked it a little cooler. The water pressure in the shower was great. The "pool" was actually a small hot tub, not suitable for swimming. It was very warm, almost uncomfortable. Towels were provided.

"It's a historic Inn, but the cost of the rooms is surely not being reinvested. The bed was horrible, the floor sagged a good inch in areas, and the room was just ""soggy"". You couldn't beat the location though. online travel website lists pool; it has a large hot tub, not a pool!"

"I have nothing but praise for Elliott House. It has remained true to its B&B roots. The rooms are nice, clean, & comfortable (cold a/c). The staff is friendly & helpful. I look forward to taking an evening bike ride on the hotel bikes and reading the paper in the shaded courtyard after breakfast. Its a lovely hotel in the center of the historic district. Don't stay anywhere else."

"My husband and I just returned from our anniversary trip to Charleston. We had the pleasure of staying at the Elliott House Inn and can't speak highly enough!!! We checked in on Friday around lunch and they had our map and everything all ready to go for us. We took a trolley around Charleston and came back for Wine and Cheese to meet our fellow vacationers. While our weekend wasn't the greatest weather, we were most lucky to have the opportunity to stay at the Elliott House Inn. I would send anyone I met there and would know they would have a great stay as well!"

The facility is attractive and close to historic downtown. Parking is conveinient across the street at $12 a day. The walls are typical for an older building the talking and snoring of the rooms next to me kept me from getting the rest I had hoped for. The staff was friendly but we did find a few small items missing from our room when we left. I wouldn't stay here again.

"My husband and I stayed here for a weekend visit. I had read the reviews of other travelers and stayed there because of them. Our experience matched those of others who loved the canopy bed, the wine and cheese in the delightful courtyard and the breakfast delivered to our room. Parking in the deck across the street made it easy."

"This is is in a great location! The service is great and it is very peaceful here. Unfortunately, the bed gave my husband a backache because the matress was very hard."

Found this quaint pink B&B to be very convenient to everything including parking. Staff especially helpful and loved the canopy bedroom. Breakfast service to room a nice feature.
