Our cottages and apartments are all located within the heart of Ironbridge with its great eating houses and local shops or nearby on the banks of the River Severn, a rural location in an area of outstanding beauty and a SSSI (Site of Special Scientific Interest) close to the ancient Buildwas Abbey. Ironbridge is steeped in our Industrial history and its many museums (10 at the last count!) chart that history very well, with special events throughout the year. Ironbridge and the Gorge is also renowned for its natural beauty due its outstanding location; there are many guided walks and cycle paths to discover. Due to Ironbridge's location in Shropshire it is an ideal base to tour the area. The medieval town of Shrewsbury (12 miles/ 20 mins approx.) hosts great shops, a fascinating museum, Castle and renowned Flower Show in August. Also worth a visit is Bridgnorth (8 miles/ 15 mins approx.) this stunning market town hosts the unique Cliff Railway and Severn Valley Railway. A little Closer to Ironbridge is the quaint historic village of Much Wenlock (5 miles/ 10 mins. approx.) has a great Arts Festival some of performed in the ancient Priory itself. Much Wenlock is also famed as being the birthplace for the Modern Olympics as we know it today. You will find Ludlow (25 miles/ 40min.approx.) also one of Shropshire jewels a must to visit with its famous Castle, renowned fine dining and good food restaurants and racecourse.
