The restaurant is outstanding and the staff very attentive. The hotel also has a surprisingly decent gym. The valet parking service needs major overhaul. Long waits and on some occasions they had difficulty finding vehicles! This is a great property with clean and modern rooms in a great location in Santa Fe close to restaurants, bars and shopping. The restaurant and bar areas in the lobby were highlights for me.

We stayed at the Eldorado when it opened many years ago and it was a gorgeous hotel. It still is but the rooms are beginning to need to be updated. The lobby is as gorgeous as ever and the staff was very professional and courteous. We ate breakfast at the hotel our first morning but were appalled by the prices so after that we ate at the local restaurants in Santa Fe. We were also surprised by the cost of parking our car at the hotel, $18 a night! Of course this included valet parking and allowed us to get our car anytime we needed it but ouch, that hurt!

We only stayed one night but it was such a hassle, I wouldn't try it again. First they messed up our reservation and had us under "cancelled/rescheduled" status. Meaning, we were charged for the cancellation we never made. Second, the staff other than the valet were RUDE. Including the accounting deparatment I had to contact to get my refund for the incorrect cancellation fee. The desk clerk didn't look t me once while checking me in and she told me my room would be ready at 1pm. It wasn't ready. I called the restaurant to inquire about reservations and was rudely dealt with. So we ate elsewhere. The room we had was above a parking lot so there was that noise till 11pm. We couldn't get our car ready for us via phone, we had to go down to the garage and wait for it. . What concerned me was leaving my car in the drive while the valet checked in other cars. I had to take out bags w/valueables for fear someone would get into the car. Basically, it's not worth the * a night. Not only is the condition of the room (which,in this case was good) important but the attitude and efficiency of the staff. It was poor in this case.

The Eldorado Hotel & Spa was a great place to stay for the couple of days that I was in Santa Fe. Being the nit picky person that I am, I found the hotel clean and comfortable and I greatly recommend it. It was the kind of room that if it rains the whole time you're on vacation you wouldn't mind staying in[hopefully this is never the case :)]. The staff was friend enough, not creepy friendly. The hotel location was great, blocks away from the Plaza.

Rooms were nice and very comfortable. Lobby and lounge lack ambiance. The location was great near the square. The service was very good. Even though the lobby and lounge lack ambiance the Old Fort Restaurant was very nice. The rooms are very comfortable.

Great location for galleries and restaurants. Call them and ask for a copy of the city walking map to see if you need one. I regret renting a car as I didn't need it. If you rent a car, park in the garage across the street - 1/2 the cost! Concierge is very helpful. Good gym for a hotel, especially the cardio machines and TV system (bring your headphones). The pool is tiny and was pretty cold. Virtually no shade at the pool. I note that they had no idea who we were when we showed up - probably a good idea to verify the travel agency reservations with the hotel in advance directly. Luckily they had a room. They told me the rate was way too high for a basic but nice hotel room so make sure you get some kind of discount. The hotel was clearly not full (first week of August) so I was a bit annoyed that they didn't offer any kind of free upgrade to make the stay even nicer. The bellman was very talkative about things to do when he took us to our room - clearly interested in service but it is a bit disconcerting to those of us from the less friendly Northeast.

Stayed here with my family when we were in town for the Pueblo dances. Everyone loved it, even the kids. Rooms were beautiful, entire hotel was immaculate. All staff were friendly and extremely helpful. Of course, we got a great rate so that helped too! The pool is on the roof, rather small but with a marvelous view of the city. Only complaint? Valet parking is only option and it's 20 per day. Service was great though and car was available within minutes. I can't wait to go back for a romantic stay without the kids!

Eldorado is in a great location - just a short walk to the plaza, to the O'Keeffe museum, and to many great shops, galleries, and restaurants. The rooms are comfortable, the staff is great, and the lobby is nice. I appreciated the complimentary bottled water and apples. Even better was the complimentary room upgrade. I'd stay here again.

Location. Not kept up very well. The fridge was warm because it hadn't been defrosted in years. Both comforters had coffee or some kind of stain on them. There was a napkin under an an outlet when we checked in and it didn't get picked up the entire time we were there. The Old House was closed on Sunday and Monday so we did not get to eat there, although advertisements said open nightly. The hot tub was missing many tiles and looked old and in need of repair. The heated pool was closed.

I checked into the hotel. They informed me they had overbooked the hotel, I would be relocated to a bed and breakfast they owned. I had reserved/ paid for a superior room . The room they relocated me to was an efficiency five blocks further out of town. If I had wanted to stay in an efficiency room I would have booked one.

Great live bands on the weekend. Amazing spa services. Perfectly located to downtown Santa Fe shopping and the Goergia OKeefe museum.

Outstanding staff. Pet friendly. Nothing. Friendly with real Southwest motif. Popular with locals. Has a renowned Christmas brunch especially popular with locals. Very pet friendly which is our primary attraction.

Stayed 2 nights here.There are so many great hotels w/flair in Santa Fe that ElDorado probably would not be my first choice. Great Dining experience, great service after they did not have the room avail we booked and paid for (incl some add amenities for us) , nice KIVA rooms, okay Spa(slow service, sauna not working, facial just okay for the MONEY spent)

This hotel allows dogs. I had to call the front desk bc a dog in a neighboring room was continuously barking and I couldn't sleep. After about 30 min. either the owner came back, or a hotel rep took care of it. The service at the hotel's casual restaurant was pleasant, but sloooooooow! Be prepared to pay $18.00/day for parking at the hotel. Ouch! There is a municpal lot across the street that charges (currently 09/2008) $9.00/day. Hotel is very nice; need to keep dog owners all on one floor.

I have been visiting Santa Fe twice a year for the last three years. I try to stay at a different hotel each time I visit, as they all have unique character. I would highly recommend the Eldorado. It is beautiful and full of the southwest spirit. The hotel was spotlesss and the room was lovely with plenty of space. The staff was very polite and professional. I would definately stay at this hotel again.

Great location, super friendly staff, very nice decor, well-maintained, comfortable room, just a terrific experience! My wife and I stayed here for our anniversary, turned out to be a great choice and excellent value. Just a block from the historic plaza district, next to the Georgia O'Keefe museum, easy access to roads out of town for beautiful drives, couldn't have been better. Can't wait to go back!!!
