As I was checking in the rep was checking in someone at the same time. I found out that if I booked thru the hotel itself it would've been cheaper than booking thru Orbitz. That already put a sour taste in my mouth. When I arrive to my room theres an awful scent in the room. The sheets smelled old as if they had been in a closet for years. Sounds a lil dramatic but true. OMG and the bathroom was a nighmare. The floor was gross and the shower curtain looked as if it had mildew stains all over. The ceiling in the bathroom looked as if it was full of asbestos. There hardly have any parking. I wouldn't recommend this place to my worst enemy.

The worst hotel stay in my life. The room was cold, dirty and smelled badly. It was so cold we were not able to take a shower. Cheap sheets, toilettries, toilet paper, no lining for the trash cans. Just nasty!! I do not recommend and I would not stay there again, not even if you paid me.

The place was cheap, so maybe cheapness should be expected.....but the smell, the whole place smelled....especially the elevators. I don't know if it was mildew or what.

I really wish I had read the reviews before booking...we were expecting a refrigerator as listed in the amenities..there was none!you would think that they could at least afford to give you a decent bathmat, but instead you got a GIANT PLACEMAT MADE OF FLIMSY PAPER!..most hotel rooms have a radio w/alarm clock..NOT THIS ONE..really a disappointment! I would never ever stay in this motel again..NEVER

Close to attractions and beach. Nneeds renovations. Ugly bathroom, bad bed spread. This motel is convenient to all the area attractions. It is a place to crash for the night and then get up and go. Room needs renovating. Bathroom not the neatest, hole in bedspread. We slept and got up, in morning and left. Not a place for long vacation.

I chose this establishment for a birthday celebration with friends, and this place was disgusting! After walking in to the hotel I was concerned with the odor, the place had a funny smell, but I looked passed that to old furniture and carpet. My friend then at dinner informed me that she found a hair stuck to the pillow in one of the beds we would be sleeping in! That to me was so disgusting and turned my stomach to where I could no longer eat my birthday dinner! I at that point was looking into a new hotel option especially when my friend informed me that they have a sign to check in your valuables... what kind of place was this? I felt unsafe in this environment the more I investigated it for myself. We then looked around more intensely and noticed that there was brown stains on the underside of the comforter, rusted ventilation grates, shelving I could only call, rusty prison issue wire shelving, to place clothing on, bubbling and chipping paint on the walls and multiple cracked walls and wood partitions by the bathroom. There was also stains on the furniture in the room, filthy windows and curtains that had what looked like red spaghetti sauce or blood splattered on them. We even had an issue that my friend went to use the bathroom and the toilet had feces in it! When I walked in the office they refused refund stating they do not give refunds after check in places that do this because they know they are filthy and have these stipulations because of this. THIS PLACE SHOULD BE CLOSED BY THE HEALTH DEPT!!!! EVERYONE SHOULD BE REFUNDED AND PAID DAMAGES (FOR THERE HEALTH HAS BEEN PUT AT RISK!!Management only cares about the guests money!!!!!!

While only there foran overnight stay , we found the 2 men at the desk to be very friendly and helpful. The rooms were small but if you are only looking for a place to sleep, thisis the place. Awesome location..would stay again for sure!

The people were very nice. There were only about 7 parking spaces and if you had a large car you couldn't park. The rooms were very small and not up to date. The parking is very sparse. The people were very nice and helpful. Not a place to stay for longer then a weekend or somewhere I would bring my kids. It was right on the boardwalk but not close to the larger Casinos. All and all not bad at all.

The hotel room was clean and neat, the heater was new and worked great, especially since it was a cold stormy evening. We were given a room on the top level (4th floor), and you have to walk outside of the building to get to your room. There is only a balcony to keep you from falling and if you have vertigo or fear of heights you should request a lower level. I took some pictures of looking out from our door.

Went to see a concert at the boardwalk hall. It was about a mile from this hotel. It was located near casinos and a liquor store. The tram busses go by every couple minutes which is really nice.

The hotel staff was incredibly nice and helpful. It had a paper floor mat in the bathroom. This is a very nice clean hotel. All we needed was a room to crash, and we got that, plus a very helpful staff.

If there was no other place on earth to stay, I would not stay at the El Greco Motel again in life. First of all the front desk clerk did not want to give up the key, secondly, the toilet broke, and we were informed that we would have to wait until morning to get it repaired, third, there was so much mold and mildew on the shower curtains, that we were afraid to close them to shower, the beds had to be sprayed before we could put our own covers on them, the smell was awful. When management was informed about the problems, they offered no resolutions. The staff at the El Greco Dirty lodge should be ashame to call that place a motel.

Small, but very clean rooms. Nice location, steps away from the boardwalk. The staff was very nice and helpfull. We really liked the stairs in the lobby. It's a nice, old motel.

The staff was beyond friendly. If you are looking for a good rate and location, you will be satisfied. If you go on vacation for hotel comfort and appearance, you will be let down.

Clean room and bathroom, super friendly staff, great price, great location. Noisy neighbors. Parking lot was free, close and seemed very secure. Rooms smelled fresh and the sheets were bright white with no pilling. The bathroom tiles were squeaky clean and gleaming. Although older carpet lined the room, it was clean and in good shape. The curtains blocked out the light well (especially after a late night) and the heat/air worked fabulously. It's not ritzy or the least bit pretencious, its a clean room with firm beds and an excellent staff that were quick to flash smiles and offer a helping hand. We will definitely go back. We are not picky we just want affordable, clean and convenient. The El Greco was all three. Plus I need all my cash for the shopping and casinos and I really only want to crash after too much to drink. Its a easy walk. Loved it!

The rooms were small but clean. The Staff was friendly. Our Ocean view consisted of turning your head and looking through the telephone wires to see the water a half a block away. All and all, it was very suitable for the price.

Close boardwalk but no amenties. Price expensive for conditions. Need better rooms.
