From the moment we got to Mazatlan to the moment we left, we experienced nothing but total bliss. It was a really wonderful and relaxing vacation. The people at El Cid and everyone in Mazatlan is so friendly and helpful. Don't forget to go in the cave at the pool if you are there. It is gorgeous. Also, sit by the pool and get chips and salsa, one of the best I have eaten. Their buffet breakfast is so great and so cheap. Champagne brunch for just 25 dollars for 2 people, can't beat that. Everything about El Cid was great. The staff and management is so great. the shift manager took such great care of us. Visit, Joe's Oyster Bar and Bora Bora club up in Zona Dorado, it is awesome. I had the best time of my life. I have nothing but wonderful things to say about El Cid and Mazatlan. El Cid's beach is accessible by water taxi but don't get discouraged by that. It is more secluded and has less vendors than the other beaches, so it is great. And if you want to ride a wave runner, go to the beach area and rent one for just 30 bucks instead of booking it online for a much higher price. Now, I wish I was back there again and I just got back last night:-)

We really enjoyed our trip to El Cid Marina. While it's at the end of the hotel strip, it actually was nice to have peace and quiet. The pools were great, the service was good. We didn't do the all inclusive plan, and I'm glad that we didn't. LOTS of great restaurants around, and you'll save lots of money.

I appreciated the service and super clean very large rooms. Service was superior. Food was average. I would recommend this Hotel to everyone. There are shuttles, which are convient to take you to other destinations related to the other EL Cid resort Hotels. I found most very friendly and helpful. I would definetly come back.

Really enjoyed our stay here. The staff was very attentive - loved the easy access to the multiple pools and swim up bars. Food was ok and geared mostly for American style preferences - not alot of local Mexican choices which was a bit disappointing - preferred to dine outside the hotel for local flavor (Tacos Luna, El Bamboo, restaruants in Plazuela Machado), however we had lunch by the pool on several days: tacos, chiliquilis and pina coladas! Having access to the hotel shuttle was great as the fitness center was actually locaated at the Granada/Country Club El Cid location vs. onsite at the Marina; also helped cost savings on transporation to downtown. The one thing we did NOT like was that upon our arrival we were immediately introduced to a woman with the Timeshare group...this was too much after a long day of travel/flights, getting to the hotel and not even checked into our room yet. We were in Mazatlan for vacation only, had no interest (nor expressed any interest) in getting a timeshare, so were quite put off by the pressure to sign up for a presentation. I would suggest that the front desk staff inquire with guests if they are interested first and then have the timeshare folks contact only those guests that express interest. Otherwise, the El Cid Marina was a great place to stay - very peaceful, beautiful and friendly!

The El Cid Marina was a perfect getaway for a few days... off the beaten track, but still close ehough to the town center for more excitement if a person wanted it. The room was very nice, clean and well appointed and the view from uor small balcony was spectacular. I was especially pleased that there was a safe in the room, safe drinking water from the tap and a fantastic deep swimming pool with swim-in caves.

traveled with five children and orderd all inclusive plan(big mistake)unless you like signing a check everytime you order your food and if you like people staring at you while you dine.staff is very rude and lack experience when dealing with tourist.very boring pool activities if any.

We went to Mazatlan for our 6th anniversary. I couldn't be happier that we chose to spend it at Marina El Cid. The staff was wonderful and accommodating. It?s a beautiful place and we enjoyed all the amenities of being pampered. This resort offers you the convenience -take a shuttle to the other El Cid resorts and enjoy their benefits too. If we needed anything the Marina concierge and/or travel agent made all of the arrangements for us. I would definitely visit again and recommend to everyone. This time of the year was great for the weather.

El Cid Marina Beach Hotel is a beautiful place to stay. If you like to fish (which was great) the boats are clean and safe and have great captains.
