We've stayed at dozens of motels in Daytona and this was the best! We knew we were staying at an older motel from the reviews, however, it was clean & well maintained. Not having a restaurant on site didn't bother us as we had a full kitchen & would have ate @ finer restaurants anyway. Beach view was awesome; rooms clean; staff caring, concerned, & accommodating. Quieter & family oriented was prevalent. Price was superb & our studio huge. Lots of room for the two teenage girls traveling with me. Would definitely recommend this for families wanting the quieter side to Daytona. In the future we wont need to "try" other locations as El Caribe will get our booking.

We booked an oceanfront room online to take our kids to Daytona for spring break. When we arrived we were amazed at how deceiving the pictures of this hotel are online. It is not nice!!!! The room was filthy and an a side view, however the hotel says this was their "oceanfront" room. The lady at the front desk was rude. We decided we were not staying there and when I called the online company all I was told after nearly three hours on the phone was... they would charge me a fee for cancelling. Although, the room was nasty and not what we believed we were getting - I was to pay for this. We left anyway, the hotel forced online to charge us for one night and the rest was refunded several days later. If your want filth, lies, deceit, and rudeness - stay here!! Beware of this place and their staff.

We relaxed and enjoyed the beach. There were volleyballs, and other games for the kids that were free just by checking them out at the office. The staff was excellent! The hotel just looked nothing like the brochure and when we mentioned it they said oh that was taken from the beach front. That really should have been advertised because when we got there we thought - this can't be it! But all in all it wasn't bad. No bugs and the room was clean. Elevator was stinky like people had been smoking in it or something.

Room size was okay. Located in unattractive side of Atlantic Ave, looks cheap. First impression was disappointing, expected more luxury for the money, continental breakfast served in a skimpy room by the service desk consisted of coffe and donuts only.

Friendly staff, good quality room with kitchenette, balcony. The free continental breakfast consisted of coffee and doughnuts. No hot tub/whirlpool. Friendly staff, clean quality rooms with kitchenette. Need to improve free continental breakfast to include maybe fruit and/or toaster for English muffins/bagels with spreads.

My family spent one night at El Caribe as we were heading to Miami. The room was great. When we come to Florida, we will stay at El Caribe again.

The rooms were clean, bright and colorful. The furnishings were nice and clean and the view from the balcony off of our room was spectacular. For bike week they provide trailer parking and 24 Hr. security for a special bike parking lot. Plus, it was only two miles from the festivities on Main St. Daytona!

Valentine night we had chocolates on the bed. We were very pleased with our stay. On valentines they left a box of chocolates on the bed. Nice suprise! We will stay again in the future.

Good value for money. The room was clean and neat and, although older construction, it was comfortable and everything worked. Breakfast donuts and coffee were available in the lobby. There is a Winn-Dixie and an IHOP across the street, but not much else within walking distance.

Security for the motorcycles. Nice clean rooms. They provided 24 hour security in the Motorcycle coral set up for Biketober Fest.

The room we were given had a broken door that would not lock. We were sent to another room for the night,this room was overlooking a parking lot and was very noisy.The next morning we were told the door could not be fixed.I told them we were to have a ocean front room, they did move us and the room was good. we were very dissapointed that there were worms in the pool that was supposed to be heated and was not. we were there for three days and it wasn't ever cleaned once.

It is situated right on the beach. Failure of staff to provide wake up call when asked. Hotel fulfills basic need for shelter but lacks some amenities found in hotels of similar value such a refrigerator, microwave and coffee maker.
