The hotel was great. the 1st night we got a free upgrade into a pool side room which was a great room. 2 sinks, granite shower and counter tops, sofa sleeper, very big room. Only down fall by the pool its open late and the music rings throughout, i have a 9 month old who goes to sleep at 8 and needless to sayt had a very poor night sleeping. The next morning i went and asked for a room change to away from the pool which was no problem at all, but the new room was no longer the upgraded room (far smaller, basic cheep tile on counters and shower, no microwave, and fan in bathroom did not work) To top it off the highway on that side was just as loud as the music in the pool, major bummer. hotel staff was great and pool is amazing i've worked in ther hotel business and this was a decent hotel familys would love it kids would never forget it..

Spacious and clean. Bath & body works toiletries. Pool was not open in the afternoon. We were placed in a suite with plenty of space and it was very clean and accommodating. The only problem we found was that the pool was not open from noon to 4:00 pm and we wanted to swim then.

I was not too happy with my experience. #1~The breakfast was too cramped!! I didn't get anything but eggs and juice because I came back when the line cleared out and It just happened to be 10:05-ish and they had cleared out everything! Either make it longer or get more people to help!!#2~ The paint job and trim work in the room sucked. Especially the bathroom! The fan didn't work. The decor was bad Jamacian mixed with Miami Vice!#3~ I got violently ill after being in the waterpark! I came back to my room and "got sick" 3 times because of the amount of chlorine in the hot tub. #4~ I had made reservations through [...] and there was a big mis-understanding with the cost of the room and kind of room. The hotel did make up for that though, which was very nice.

Liked the free internet and free continental breakfast. The room was not the cleanest. Never replaced my coffee one morning. The hotel was okay. The lobby staff was friendly, helpful, & efficient. The breakfast was basic but good. The parking area was excellent. The room had some problems. The garbage can had never been washed out and had pieces of garbage stuck to the bottom. The bathroom had a slight odor to it, as if it was not disinfected each day. The carpet had stuff stuck to it. The room did not feel clean. One morning my coffee was not replaced. In short, my only complaint was that the room cleaning staff was sloppy and as a result did a very poor job.

Very friendly staff and the waterpark was fun for the kids. The morning breakfast was not as good as others I have stayed at as far as selection and quality but it is complimentary so can't complain. Beautiful view especially if you have an outer room that looks over Lake Superior. Staff is friendly and willing to do what it takes to make us happy.Youngest son age 11 said it was the best hotel he ever stayed at because of waterpark and bunk bed. Overall, we had a good time there.

We really enjoyed our time here. We were probably the only couple without children, but it was still great fun. We spent a good deal of time at the water park (the 2 slides, hot tub, and lazy river are the most adult-friendly), and we appreciated the happy hour they offered at the 4th floor lounge. It's also a great place to stay in case you hit bad weather on your vacation, as we did. The room was a little small, but it was clean. The staff was very friendly. Even the "exterior access" rooms in the Polynesian Plaza were just fine.

Water park for the kids. Very dirty room especially the bathroom. I did not enjoy my stay here and most likely will never go back.

Great water park for the kids. Water front and eating places are short drive. State park in within reasonable drive.

Very pleasant staff. Outside access to waterpark means across a busy road. Hotel and water park were great. Very observant life guards and quick to respond. They offer a shuttle, but we chose to drive every time. Otherwise, it was a good experience.

This hotel is a lot of fun! My boyfriend and another couple went up for the weekend. We had a lot of fun in the pool area (and we are 22!) The only thing that wasn't so great is there is no bar in the hotel. They have a lounge but its in the same place that you eat your breakfast. But a great time overall!

View from the room was great. Breakfast room was small. All was great with the room, the view of the lake was great. Parking was cramped and just about all parking required a hike to your room. The breakfast room was so small that people were standing to eat. Staff did not react to being out of coffee or milk until it was gone and lines were building.

The indoor waterpark and other kid activities make it a great place for families with children.

The rooms were worn, sheets stained, cobwebs on walls, refrigerator that did not work. Cold tile floors and hallways. We stayed at this hotel because our furnace had broke down. The waterpark was great for the kids and relaxing for adults. The staff was very friendly. Food was expensive but drinks were cheap! I would stay again.

The Edge has a great Water park for the Kids, nice location across from the shore of Lake Superior a good morning free family breakfast

It was kid friendly. It was very dirty. I thought over all the hotel was acceptable, but cleanliness is a must not an option. Also not enough elevators, and my son was stuck in one of the few elevators for 10 minutes.

The Edgewater is an idea hotel to stay at if you have children who like water! The rooms were very nice sized and well decorated! We had a very good time and would go back again!

It was nice to have a refrigerator in the room. We didn't use the happy hour drink coins, but it's nice that they have a bar in the hotel. The hotel room had a wet spot on the floor when we got there, and never did dry. It was very annoying to accidentally step in this spot! It's a nice place to bring children, if you like pools and water slides.
