| The Eden Lancaster provided a calm respite from the more hectic center of Amsterdam. The room was clean, comfortable, and well appointed and the complete morning breakfast buffet was a welcome treat. Front desk staff ranged from helpful to diffident, perhaps based on a language barrier. The location is a bit remote from the hub-bub, but the proximity of the zoo and a lovely park make for a relaxing stay. |

| Very expensive for what you got, but given it was Amsterdam on a weekend, it was reasonable i suppose. Breakfast was value for money, with good variety. Hotel was not centrally located, but tram stopped right outside the hotel and was easy to use (once you could push past the people to get off at your stop!) Hotel was very secure after hours with access only for hotel guests by key. Overall, not a bad stay |

| The Eden Lancaster Hotel Amsterdam is located in a quiet, mainly residential part of Amsterdam opposite the Artis zoo. Amsterdam's famed red light district is about 5mins away by bike, about 10mins by tram (passes front of hotel) or a 15 to 20min walk away so its close enough to not be inconvenient. Besides, I have stayed in the red light district before and do not recommend it because of the noise, especially on weekends. This is a much better location if you cherish your sleep and is a quick walk to rembrantplein which has loads of restaurants and waterlooplein which has a nice outdoor market. The hotel itself is not expensive by amsterdam standards. There were a few problems we had with the hotel. There was a constant bad smell on the level our room was on, although not in our actual room which was clean. The bathroom basin does not give you much room for washing your face and you end up wetting the floor more often than not and the bar fridge had to be opened with a key from reception everytime you wanted to use it which made it entirely useless. We didnt take breakfast at the hotel because it was about 18euro per person which seemed excessive, but having breakfast at the nearby cafes didnt come much cheaper. Overall its an OK place to stay but I might try and stay in a more interesting neighbourhood on my next visit to amsterdam. Very good if you are looking for a quiet stay. |

| Nice hotel, very well-located only 10 mins on foot from Dam square. Tram stops are just in front of the property. The rooms are just OK, clean with free internet access (although it is not working very well). The breakfast is good, although not included in the price. The employees are OK, some more competent than others. |

| This was a nice little hotel in a great location. It lies just outside of where all the action is happening. It's a lovely neighborhood and I felt very safe walking there by myself late at night. The tram ran right in front of the hotel which was nice for transportation (although it is just a few minutes walk to the Rembrandt area) but it was a bit loud on the street side of the hotel. Thankfully it only runs till a little past midnight. The bathroom was small, but I didn't spend much of my vacation there so it wasn't a problem. Also, I had no problems with flooding like the other guests had mentioned. Just close the curtain and you're good to go. The staff was very helpful and the breakfast was wonderful. A little pricey but well worth it if you have a long day of walking and sightseeing. The restaraunts around the hotel were excellent....a pizza from around the corner, Chinese at Happy Corner, and a good beer from the cafe. I will definitely reccommend this place to friends and I will defintely stay here again when in Amsterdam. |

| Nice hotel with pleasant staff end good location. We have seen much smaller hotel rooms than this. Breakfast was better than most hotels. A buffet, good but rather expensive though. We recommend this place! |

| The Eden Lancaster Hotel Amsterdam was a bti further away than indicated - the rooms were quite small and the smell of dope in the hallways leading to rooms was a bit much for me - I would suggest asking for a no smoking floor if it exists. Great coffee shop down form the hotel an the adjacent corner. |

| The hotel indicate how to reach it by tram, what Tram number to take, and where to stop. Once you know it, it is very easy to locate...Just take tram nr 14 or 9. Stop at Plantage. You wont miss it. As this is not mentioned, it takes us quite sometime to get the information. |

| Reception was competent but not warm and friendly. As a married couple staying for 3 nights, we felt that given a room with 4 single beds was inappropriate and the beds were too soft. The carpets could do with a serious steam clean. Finally, we also found it irregular that we should have to ask for complimentary coffee in the room, and when we wanted replenishment we were told by reception that we should come down and collect the goods ourselves as he considered it an added task to look after the guests. Time to review staff performance!! |

| L'hotel è moderno e molto accogliente. Le camere non sono eccessivamente spaziose ma funzionali e comode. Le uniche pecche direi siano il fatto di avere avuto una camera al pianterreno e la colazione, che non era inclusa nel prezzo e costava circa 15 € a persona (quindi vi abbiamo rinunciato). A circa 50 m ci sono le fermate dei tram 9 e 14 che portano in centro. I dintorni sono tranquilli e graziosi. Complessivamente siamo stati molto bene, lo consigliamo sicuramente. |

| A little hotel with a relevant cost. When we arrived, the man gave me two rooms at the ground floor, directly facing a green square, with a parking on the lane on which the windows were facing; the rooms were quite little and the toilet was just 1,5 mq... Public areas are really little (just a space in front of the reception desk) and the breakfast, good, was really expensive (15€ each one). If you can, find an alternative solution... |

| Ottimo hotel, soprattutto per chi vuole rimanere fuori dai soliti ostelli con un costo leggermente più alto vi viene assicurata la pulizia, il servizio, la tranquillità e la comodità di avere la camera tutta per voi con bagno. Ubicato in zona tranquilla e contemporaneamente a poche fermate di tram. Possibilità di arrivare in centro a piedi (data la modesta grandezza di Amsterdam) e in bici. La all dell'hotel è ampia ed ha dei comodi tavolini. Un macchina a gettoni vi permette di avere snack, bevande calde coffe a qualsiasi ora. Ricordarsi di aggiungere al totale anche la tassa di soggiorno che è richiesta da tutti gli hotel e che è in percentuale. Fate bene i conti!! |

| very nice hotel, spacious compared to those in paris. good location 10 min by tram to the train station / center of amsterdam. the room was clean overall except on the ceillings which had about 5 spiderwebs.. didn't see the spiders... overall we had a good experience and would recommend the hotel. |

| We were surprised at the size of the room - very small and the walls were a little thin - noise from next door. But for convenience to central Amsterdam, Centraal Station and anything else, it was an excellent choice for us. In fact we could watch the flamingoes in the zoo across the road from our room! We enjoyed our brief stop and have already recommended it to others. Thanks. |
