Hotel Eden ReviewHotel was very accomodating despite arriving late. Only negative was 12 Euros for 2 beers which is a bit steep!

Very nice, very clean Hotel. Seemed more like a bread and breakfast - the owners are attentive and provide personalized service. Similar to other European hotels, the rooms are small, but very clean and comfortable. Breakfast buffet is excellent. The beach is only 2 blocks away and if you like to walk, this is a great location. In 20 minutes, we walked to the old city, but you can take the bus or taxi. We took the train from Paris, then taxi to hotel, then walked everywhere. Hotel staff was very helpful planning day trips. (note - call ahead if you will arrive after 8pm)

Very well located and the breakfast buffet was abundant and varied. The Lady in charge was very helpfull and gave us very good tips. We will come back.

good for the ferry and townWe use this hotel on a whim, but we found it to be clean, easy to find , goo location for both a night out in the town and the ferry the following morning. We'll be using it again, very happy with everything.

Too small rooms and too far from the city center. Clean and friendly, however.

Definitely would recommendVery happy with everything, wonderful decor and very clean, very convinient location. The only thing - the room could do with the curtains, but this is just minor point.

The photograph of the hotel is very misleading. It was taken of the rear of the hotel which shows a lovely stone fronted elevation. The front of the hotel is painted and looks ghastly. If you had not booked, it's the sort of place you would drive past and say 'no thanks'. The rooms were very small, had no tea & coffee facilities and the bar never appeared open. The rooms were very tired and needed updating. Carpeted walls were a first for us! The bathrooms were very tight with cracked tiles in the shower and the extractor fans didn't work. You can imagine what it's like after a shower or using the toilet. The continental style breakfast was not good value for money. You got what was left over if you went for breakfast slightly later than other guests. Charging €6 for overnight parking in the courtyard was unjust. The walk into St Malo was not a brisk 15/20 minute walk, more like a good 30 minutes. So you had to catch taxi's into the town. Overall value for money was not good. I would not recommend this as a hotel, more like a B&B. We will not be staying at this establishment again even though the on site owners were very helpful and spoke ok English. It didn't make up for the fact that it was expensive for the money and not up to standards in terms of quality.

Deilghtful Hotel on the outskirts of St Malo, rooms clean with modern decor and a first class breakfast in the morning. Great value

Lovely location near the sea - 35 walk along the promenade into town. Quiet area, hotel was welcoming. I'd go back.

This is a small pension just off the main road not far from the beach in Rochebonne to the east of the old part of St Malo. It's a reasonably quiet location. There is on street parking nearby and protected parking for 8 Euros. The staff were very friendly and helpful and the place was clean throughout. The rooms were small but the bathroom was excellent. Access was via a narrow corridor and quite steep stairs. On the whole good value for a brief stopover with good access to the ferry and the airport at Dinard.

Everything was fine except the room did not have a wndow other than the entrance door to the courtyard and there were no tea and coffee making facilities which is a little annoying

The hotel is a small clean friendly family run hotel. 20-30 rooms The owners are very welcoming and speak good English. The hotels situation is close to the beach (Approx 200yrds) and allows a pleasant stroll along the sea front to the walled city. (This saved us the problem of trying to park in the town) The location makes the Hotel Eden ideal as a good base for a visit to St Malo or a stop over for the ferry. We only ate breakfast and this was in the form of a buffet that had a wide choice, including the usual bread, croissants, jams and yogurts along with some meats cereals and eggs. All was fresh and enjoyable. We used the hotel for a short family break in St Marlo and the drive from the ferry is about 5-10 minutes.
