When I arrived we checked in and gave the attendant our c.c. info. We settled in and later went looking for the pool. I just want to say that I was severely disappointed in this hotel. I looked up the hotel prior to staying here and on the website it has them listed as having an outdoor pool. THERE IS NO POOL OR EVEN A SPOT WHERE ONE WAS! When we couldn't find one we asked the front desk and he said that you don't have one and that the website was lying. He asked me what website (travelocity, priceline, etc.) and I let him know it was a direct link to his website, not another website with incorrect information. He then informed me that he had not charged my card yet and I was free to go to another hotel. (Excellent customer service by the way). However, He did already run my c.c. and I assumed that no matter what we would be charged in the morning anyway. These people are scam artists.

It was an okay hotel for the price...but our room window would not lock. We found this out because we mistakenly locked our only room key in the room and we soon found out the window was not locked and COULD NEVER BE LOCKED. So store your securities in the car. Their breakfest is a joke....bread and donuts.

We stayed at the Edelweiss and It wasnt as bad as some of the reviews that I have read. I was really scared at first but it was just an average hotel. It wasnt a 5 star but it was comfy. Everything worked inside and the sheets were clean. They have some great size rooms. We went with another couple so I got to see both rooms. Their air conditioner wasnt working and someone came to fix it immediately. Our door jammed and the same thing. So everything got taken care of. I was unhappy that THEY DIDNT HAVE A POOL when it clearly says on the website that they do. Oh and they dont supply the coffee but im sure you can get it at the morning breakfast. Also no Hairdryer. Most hotels wont let you check in till 3 cuz checkout is at 11. But we arrived at 1030 and they were very nice about it and let us check in at 12. Very nice staff

The hotel was old and very poorly maintained. Ants were spilling out of the drain in the bathroom like a horror movie clip. The hotel did not honor the price I was promised online. The lady at the desk was not courteous and was irritated when I asked for an extra pillow and sheet.

I was only there for one night. The place is a little outdated and could use some work. But it was ok for the price and the staff was nice.

I was very displeased and will never stay there again. The Inn looks charming from the outside, but leaves very little to desire on the inside. Smelled bad and run down!!!

We were there for a family funeral & had no time to look for another motel. A/C-Heater smelled of mold, filthy rug should be thrown out, couch & uphoulstered chair should be thrown out too. They were stinky and badly stained & used. Only 1/2 the lamps worked. [*] NOT friendly. Couldn't find our Orbitz reservation, however, he did give us the old rate of $49 per night.

This stay in the Edelweiss Inn & Suites in New Braunfels Texas was adequate, but if I had to do it all over again I would have kept looking. I thought the room were vary musty smelling and we had a hard time controlling teh temperature of the A/C. The towels were too light weight and you could barely dry off after a shower. The location was good for easy access to Cand The Guadalupe river, but I felt for the money we could have had a cleaner feeling, more comfortable room.

The hotel is a bit outdated and smells like an old hotel. If you are going to just need a place to lay your head after floating the river all day this is the place to go and save some money. If you plan on spending several nights in the area and time in the room, I would look around.

The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. The hotel was conveniently located with easy access to dining, shopping, and local recreation. Our room was spacious and it was very clean and comfortable. It was a great value, and I would definitely stay there again.
