The hotel was in very poor conditions. The door to our room was cracked and missing a safety latch. The room had roaches. There were cars in disrepair in the parking lot. Only stay here if you can not find a room elswhere.

Leaving. I did not like anything about the hotel. The Rodeway Inn Benton Harbor was a pathetic excuse for a hotel. Do not stay at this hotel. Everything about the hotel from the location to the hotel staff was terrible. I have never stayed in a hotel as miserable as this one. I literally did not feel safe or comfortable the entire time I was there. For our entire three day stay at the Rodeway we saw the cleaning staff for the first time as we were on our way to check out. The rest of the staff was just as unhelpful and unfriendly as anyone that I have ever encountered. There were cigarette burns on everything from the sheets on the bed to the curtains on the window. Another thing that I was in complete disbelief about was the fact that the police were there when we arrived speaking with one of the guests. The amount of people that appeared to be living there made this hotel feel more like a rundown apartment building than anything else. Based on the condition of the building alone I would suggest that the Rodeway Inn Benton Harbor be torn down and replaced with a parking lot. In my opinion there would be no better way to use the space in this horribly run down area.

This was the worst hotel we have ever seen. Bugs, not clean - terrible! We would never sleep in this hotel because we don't want to get sick. We request money return.

Nothing, the wall paper was pealing off the walls. They switched us to a smaller room, the manager/owner was unfired. Very dirty hotel, manager thought it was funny. This hotel was very dirty. The wall paper is pealing off the walls. The manager would not take care of it until the next morning so moved us to a smaller room.

It was a nice place to getaway, but not the cleaniest or maintence free place too stay, also pool and sauna closed for repairs, Continetal Breakfast was not the best, as no orange juice to drink, and too many employees in dinning area while we ate, we liked balcony, refrigerator and microwave in room, and enjoyed cable tv and air conditioning. Could use a ceiling fan in bathroom when took shower.

Moldy ceiling tiles and non functioning lights made our stay difficult and uncomfortable. The staff was very pleasant, but the facilities were lacking at best. Would not stay here again.

Nothing. It was not up to any standard for hotels. Amenities not in room, pests in room, not secured, no maid service for the 3 days there, card keys kept having to be redone, pool area not clean, no safety equipment, Jacuzzi not working and hotel staff tend to blame everything on customer.

Arrived late and very tired. That is the only reason I stayed. Parking lot with large potholes. Carpet condition worse than you can ever imagine. Very suspicious people parked in trucks in lot for hours. I would not recommend anyone stay there. Not safe and filthy.

Staff was friendly. Rooms offered fridge & microwave. Decent breakfast. Good value. The mattress on the pull out was disgusting. We just needed a decent place to sleep that was close to the sights we were visiting. We didn't require many amenities and for the money, this fit the bill nicely. It will be even nicer if the restaurant next door opens in the future.

I liked the fact that my daughter was able to use the internet. I liked the fact that the hotel is near the expressway. The hotel is dirty and in bad shape. Our room had too many things that didn't work, such as the phone, outlets, lights, the sink was clogged. The hotel does not have a nice sign to let the travelers know is there. The line to check in was too long and the people at the counters were too slow. The hotel was not clean at all. The room had too many things not working. The light in the bathroom didn't work. The sink was clogged up. The phone in the room didn't work. Some outlets didn't work. There was garbage outside our balcony, not inviting all to go outside. The TV is old and it does not work well. The carpet was dirty. The only thing we liked was that my daughter was able to use the internet. The breakfast was sort of nice also, although the coffee was weak.

The pool was large and warm. Hotel dirty. Breakfast minimal. Staff unhelpful. This hotel is not clean and needs lots of repair work (cobwebs on ceiling in our room, bathtub with constant drip, ceiling tiles missing in pool area with fiberglass hanging down, moldy substance on side of pool, leftover sticky food on breakfast bar area, breakfast bar consists of make-your-own Belgian waffles, generic white bread still in the bag and open, honey nut cheerios. I called in advance to confirm full breakfast, and was told full breakfast was offered (eggs, sausage, etc.). Tampico orange drink gone by the time we got to breakfast around 8 am. Requested towels and 2 hours later, no towels. Called and made a second request. Received none. Went to get some off of housekeeping cart and got reprimanded severely by housekeeper for doing so. I would not recommend this hotel.
