Van Horn, Texas is in the middle of nowhere and its an hour either way to better accommodations. For that reason we stayed here. Although not awful, it was not much value for the dollars cost. The room and staff were OK except they stocked the two bed room with only towels for 2 people although I had paid for three. Had to go to the office and wait while they searched for the additional items. The ice machine was broken, so you had to go to the office and wait while they went to their kitchen to get ice. Finally, do not count on the so called breakfast as it is little more than a sweet roll and some watered down, and I mean watered down, orange juice. It may be the only show in town when you need to stop; however, if you have a choice you can do better even in Van Horn.
