Date of Stay:
July, 2009
met friends at the hotel they were in new section; cleaner; roomier

Central location to our points of interest. The room had holes in the walls, and it lacked basics (iron, hair dryer, etc.).
Date of Stay:
December, 2007
I stayed here with my family. I opened the sofabed and it had dirty linens with hair all over it. I called the front desk at abot 1030pm, no one answered, so I went to the front desk. The girl was on her cell phone and saw me coming and hid in the back. The front door was locked and I could not get it and she would not aswer the phone. It was an oncomfortable night with my husband and I squeezing on a cot. The next morning I wanred an explanation from the manager, I did get half of my money back. BEWARE....YOU PAY FOR WHAT YOU GET. The rate was cheap, so I got cheap.

We spent a good deal of time lounging at the beach which is really only minutes away from the hotel. Also did the usual shop browsing as there are so many shops to browse in Rehoboth. This past trip (the weekend before July 4th) was the best weekend stay ever!

Great friendly service. Ihave been going here for years the hotel is the one we always choose with the friendly staff and service would not go anywhere else great value for the price.

Overpriced during the summer but nice. I paid * a night on a Tuesday night in July. The room was quite nice with a sitting area with a couch and tv separate from the bedroom. It also had a fridge and microwave. However, there was some mildew and water damage on the wall near the shower. Something you wouldn't expect for a * night hotel. Close proximity to restaurants and the beach.

We requested a non smoking room, they put us in a smoking room that really bad, they moved us to another room the bed was broken. and leaning to the left you had to sleep with your head at the foot of the bed to rest. The garden tub was the high light of the room.

I liked the refrigerator & microwave in the room. I was disturbed with the loud talking of the next room occupants.

Had an extended stay and was satisfied, after I Fab breezed everthing. Cleaning staff was very cooperative in providing what was needed. There weren't chocolates on my pillow, but there were a lot of cheerful smilling faces. I did a lot of my eating in the room, and did much of the house keeping, made me fill more at home for the long stay. I know most people wouldn't consider do any cleanup at a hotel room, but it made me feel like I had a real residence instead of a room.

Reservation was incorrect. ORBITZ showed that our room was to have a kingsize bed, sofa. When we checked in at 4:30PM all the non-smoking king rooms were taken. Luckily the clerk found us a non-smoking room with 2 queen beds. Additionally the sink drain was slow and there was socializing in the hall late a night, very noisy. The breakfast area was not kept clean. Suggest you make an unannounced visit. We will not be staying in an Econolodge again and it is doubtful that we be using Orbitz in the future.

Nothing. Elevator smelledbadly, you had to pay for internet, not enough internet boxes for all guest, staff unfriendly.

Very courteous, friendly staff. Room was clean and continental breakfast was very good. Room was comfortable and reasonable spacious.Bathroom needed maintenance.

The hotel is dated -- could use major TLC. I felt cheated/violated to pay the rate charged for such mediocre accommodations. The staff was negative and for no good reason. The room was clean (although my daughter checked for bed bugs) but just looked worn out. Would not choose to stay here again.

Location. Air conditioner in room was poor, continental breakfast was not the best. The air conditioning system in the hotel was noisy and did not work well. We had to open the sliding door which was noisy due to traffic. The continental breakfast was not that good compared to other hotels we have stayed in. The pool was not open but they would not even let us sit by it to get sun.

Considering it's location, off rt 1highway, it is a short drive to the beach, which is worthwhile if you are trying to save on room rates. The hotel is very clean and quiet. Great for a family vacation or for a couple's get away.

We stayed in Rehoboth to experience the beach before and after the Dover NASCAR race. The EconoLodge in Dover was a pretty good location, right across from Kmart and WalMart (for those "oops, i forgot...) and in walking distance to Cracker Barrel. The pool was big and didn't smell like chlorine like most others do. the hotel also provided towels outside. However, the room inside wasn't all that great. The beds were hard and the pillows were flat. The bathroom was small and stained (or dirty) and the towels were scratchy and not very absorbent. The lights and the TV worked fine but they were both on the same switch so when one went off, so did the other. There was a refrigerator in the room which was great but our food and sodas were so cold they were almost frozen, but my milkshake melted. (I think it was too cold for a fridge, but there was no where to adjust it.) Compared to other trips and other hotels, I was unimpressed. This wasn't a good stay, even for the "lower" price.

Nothing. It was dirty, there were men hanging around the hotel who seemed to be trying to see which room I was checking into and there were kids playing.

In morning when we went for breakfast. Nothing left and that was at 7:00am

Location. Dirty. It was dirty. Dirty bathroom, stained furniture, carpet, etc.

The hotel is a great location for shopping and near many attractions. The rooms are small but the bathrooms are very small. It was quiet at the time of year we were there. the continental breakfast left a lot to be desired, I am glad that Cracker Barrell was close.
