While the Econo Lodge is an older motel along Hwy 27 and shows it age, I had a very pleasant stay Tuesday to Friday. The rooms are a bit musky, since these older style motels lack good ventilation. The room and linen were clean, and the staff touched up the room each day. The towels were surprisingly soft. Bathroom fixtures are a bit old, so there is excellent water pressure. While the rooms don't have a coffee pot, microwave, or refrigerator, also there was not a clock of any sort. Not sure which of these are available from the staff, since I did not need the items. There is a microwave available in the snack room where there is vending and an ice machine. The rooms have an ice bucket and wrapped plastic cups. The lack of a coffee pot was made up by the fresh coffee available at the front desk starting at 5AM. I gave up on those unsanitary room coffee pots long ago anyway. The Cable TV is the standard analog service available in the area with the common cable channels and local broadcast stations. The view from the back of the motel is of Lake Glenda which hosts a variety of birds. The sunrise viewed from the room was beautiful. The outdoor pool area looked nice, but only the patio furniture was in use in early March. The walls are a thin, so ear muffs may be useful for the lightest of sleepers. The other guests were considerate so noise from other rooms was at a minimum during my stay. Definitely rates a return visit when compared to the prices of other motels along Hwy 27 in the immediate area.

It was convenient for my needs. It is pretty much conveniently located near the area in which I was participating in a sporting event. The hotel is clean and the staff are friendly and helpful.

I and my Mother traveled to sebring to see my new nephew that was born at Florida hospital. and we stayed at this hotel we were very pleased with the staff and our room was great. We stayed in room xxx. it looked newly remodled the beds were fantastic i got a great nights rest. The shower/bath was marvelous we also were traveling with a 6lb. dog and the place was so quiet that the dog slept all night with out growling at strange noises. we are going to stay at the hotel when ever we go to sebring and have to spend the night.

Hotel was nice and clean. Staff was helpful Unfortunately the pool was closed which was very disappointing for the kids. Also, no coffee or iron in the room but other than that we were very happy.

When I arrived the female clerk had a cell phone attached to her ear and she was in a desperate, personal conversation. I felt like an intruder at the Bates Hotel of Psycho filmdom. Even more strange than this, she addressed her next comment to another customer who had arrived just after me to the effect of, You guys will need to leave the boat out front and you can park your vehicle at the room. I replied, pardon me Miss, but we are not together and I am not pulling a boat. The rest of the night was quite noisy as people with rug-runners were camped on the second floor and the tap, tap, tapping of tiny feet back and forth along the balcony was annoying. More annoying was my discovery in the morning that wads of wet toilet paper had been thrown from the second floor and were stuck on my truck's front windshield. Reading all this has probably given you a good laugh but every word is true and I won't be returning to this Econo Lodge From The Woods along US 27.

Nice view of lake. Appearance, lack of cleanliness, extra charges for microwave, etc. I've stayed in worse, but not by much.

The room was supposed to be non-smoking, however the room reeked. It's obvious that whoever runs the front office also smokes because the check-in area also smells. So either staff smokes while cleaning or they rent all rooms to smokers. The mattress was extremely uncomfortable, very hard like sleeping on the floor so between the smell and the mattress it was difficult to get a good nights sleep. Smoking rooms may not be a big deal for some but for me I was on my way to a funeral I was so embarrassed when the next day my clothes and hair smelled like smoke. I WILL NEVER STAY THERE AGAIN.
