Friendly staff, quiet and confortable not far from areas of town that I was going to. Clean rooms the best part was that I could get a smoking room. I would recommend it to people I know traving to santa fe.

Clean, spacious, but ironing board broken, radio/alarm broken and staff was receptive to problem.

Here is why: The room and hallway smelled. The coverlet on the bed had burn holes. The carpet was filthy dirty and had burn marks. The in-room fire detector was hanging on it's last hinge. The in room coffee maker was broken. The shower curtain liner was to short for the tub and the shower curtain was stained. I have brought the matter up with Choice Hotels and have filled out a survey for Econolodge, but I thought it would be good to inform the consumer using this travel web sites just how terrible this hotel is.

THIS WAS A TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE. My wife and I booked to nights. When we came in a day early, the owner doubled the rate for the third night. We had booked a king bed, and were given two doubles. The owner stated it was his policy not to change assigned rooms. When tried checking out, after seeing the condition of the room (5 minutes latter) the owner was called and hung up on us and charged a 3 three night stay on our credit card. (In violation of Eco-Lodge cancellation policy). The halls and rooms were dirty and smelled of mold. The owner and staff rude.

Upon booking it was clearly stated that this was a non smoking hotel and yet it booked me in a king smoking room. Upon arrival i pointed this out to the guy working the front desk and he told me he had no other availabilities. Funny since the parking lot was empty. He finally booked me into a double bed room. My girlfriend and I walked in. The bathroom wall paper was pealing back and had mold. We pulled the sheets back and and they appeared to have been slept in AND THERE WAS HAIR ON THE PILLOW...Yeah it's less than a 100 bucks a night, but I've seen truck stop bathrooms more pleasant.

Location, price. Pillows arevery uncomfortable and used. Good enough to get by on, bring yoiur own bedding, and a twelve pack of beer.

The room was adequate. Beds made daily and new towels, etc. But the moment I opened the bathroom door the smell of mildew rushed out. It was already in the walls, the cracks around the tub, . . . but also in the shower curtain and the fixtures. Didn't feel clean until I returned home. Also, my room was non-smoking . . . but to reach it I had to walk through a haze of smoke from employees' rooms near the front desk. This is a place to stay if all you need is a roof and a bed for a night or two and expect little else.

Most all of the lodging in Santa Fe looks OK. and this motel fit our needs to a tee. The staff was very friendly and the room was spotless. The location was great as it is located just a 10 minute drive from the plaza and there are plenty of places to eat very close by. It is true that the back security door does not lock and the safe did not work but the motel is in a safe neighborhood and we felt very safe and secure. The pool was very clean and stays open till midnite which is cool. I travel quite a bit and I would recomend this motel to anyone.

The separate area with theTV and comfortable couch to sit at. Clean and comfortable hotel to stay at. Very convenient to all the locations I wanted to go to like the Plaza, the visitors center, shopping was all within a several mile radius.

For 45 you can't expect much. The pool was nice (though the hot tub jets weren't working), the place was clean (though there was a smoky smell in the halls), the breakfast was pretty good (hot items, waffles, etc.) and the location is convenient. We went for a quick ski trip and this was a good place to spend the night.

Nice hotel, one of the best free breakfasts I have ever seen in a hotel. Carpet in room could have used a cleaning. Comfortable bed. TV was on the lower scale. But all and all a great location for getting around Santa Fe and a overall good experience.

Staff wasvery friendly. Smoking rooms right across non smoking rooms. Overall for the money a decent hotel, but would not recommend to someone who absolutely loathes the smoke smell. I could smell the smoke all night and I stayed in a non-smoking room. This was the only con about this hotel.

the room was great the bed was good , the breakfast could use a little work but not bad for free . I would like to say the staff was very friendly and always there to help .

The room had a microwave and big refrigerator, the TV had the full set of Santa Fe cable channels, and the breakfast included hot sausage.

Clean room. Fridge and microwave was nice. Pool tile was very slippery. Was clean which was the most important thing for me.

This hotel is in serious need of refurbishment and repair. Back security door was broken, including the glass; hallway carpets were dirty; ice machine was broken; and lobby, hallways, and breakfast area were unairconditioned on one of the hottest days of the year. Rooms need updating including new drapes and bedspreads. I will not stay here again.

Santa Fe can be an expensive location. The EconoLodge was a great value for the money. The room were clean and inviting and the extensive breakfast was great. The plaza was a short drive away. Lots of good places to eat nearby.

Location was great to lots of places to eat; not too far off the interstate. I would have preferred queen size beds instead of full size. My stay at the Econo Lodge in Santa Fe was quite satisfactory. The desk clerk was pleasant and so were the other staff. The rooms were clean, however the smoking room, like all smoking rooms had a terrible stench to it. When I checked in I went to one of the rooms and it was not clean yet, I told the desk clerk and he said he would alert housekeeping, I had to tell him one more time and finally after waiting about an hour, it was ready. Luckily I rented two rooms. The front desk staff the following morning were very accommodating for pool towels. Overall it was a positive experience.
